I called them on Friday (Feb 22, 2088) to come out and give me an estimate on the two fences on either side of my bosses house. He said he would come out on Monday (Feb 25, 2008) to give me an estimate. He said he would call me Monday and let me know what time he would come by. He never called. He never came by.
Description of Work: There was no work performed.

Vincent broke an irrigation pipe in the course of digging a hole. He did not tell me about it -- it's possible that he didn't notice what he'd done. In addition, he asked for more than his estimate. However, the final cost struck me as reasonable. Vincent declined to provide a receipt, saying that he didn't have his receipt book with him. He offered to fax me a receipt, but never did. The repair work looks pretty good except that he used a block of the old excavated cement to support part of the new fence. This looks looks tacky and may not last too well. Vincent did do the work in a timely fashion (2 days) and cleaned up pretty well afterward.
Description of Work: Vincent and his partner (or brother) repaired about 12 feet of a wooden tongue-and-groove wooden fence that had fallen down due to rotting of the support posts. They removed the three old posts, poured new cement, placed new posts, and the next day refitted the old fence components together.

No work was completed, I just got a bid -- but as described above I was able to get a bid for far less than I have been told was for a better way of dealing with the problem. That said, the two men that come over were very nice and friendly and I didn't get any bad vibes from them or think that they were unprofessional or anything of that nature. ($1,500)
Description of Work: We have a fence consisting of 5 feet of bricks with 3 feet of wood attached to the top of it. During high winds the mortar between the top layer of brick (to which the wood is attached) and the layer below that broke and the fence started to lean inward into our yard. I received two bids on the work -- The first -- from Two Brothers, for $1500, involved pouring concrete into the bricks somehow and reinforcing with rebar (as well as removing the wooden fence and then re-installing it after wards). The second for $350, involved reinforcing the fence by putting new 2x4s on the back that come down onto the bricks and are bolted onto them (and removing the fence only if necessary to do the other work.) I spoke with my husband's dad, who is a contractor in TX, and he told me that the second method was better than the one proposed by Two Brothers.

Vincent was prompt in getting me the estimate and started and finished the project on time. His rate was very reasonable and he was highly rated in Angie's List. My next door neighbor wanted a framed lattice added to the top of the fence and Vincent accommodated him. My tenant also wanted to have the wooden deck repaired and stained and Vincent also took care of that. I am very pleased with the work that was done and highly recommend him.
Description of Work: They tore down the old fence and put up a new one, then stained it. They also performed work for my tenant and my neighbor under separate invoices.

Two Brothers Fence Company kept all appointment times and were here on-site when they said they would be. They were flexible in tailoring the job as required and always cleaned up the work site at the end of each workday. The fence looks great and the gate works well. This company was highlighted in the September 2007 Angie's List magazine.
Description of Work: Two Brothers Fence Company installed a new 6' iron fence for me with a large walk-through gate. They installed the fence over 3 days: Day one was installation of the vertical fence posts set in concrete; Day two was installation of the horizontal supports, the vertical slats set 4 inches apart and a large walk-through gate; Day three was painting the entire fence to match the house.

He didn't show up when he said he would a few times and he wanted the money before he finished the job. He also didn t do a good job with itemizing the bill, so I ended up paying some unnecessary money to the insurance company. I feel like he tries to take advantage of women.
Description of Work: My fence was damaged in a storm so he put up a 175 foot Dog Ear Feeder Wooden fence to repair the damage.

They really went out of their way to help me. First of all he is located quite a distance from my home. Many of the big companies did not want to do the job because my home is half way up a mountain on a very steep slope. He was very knowledgeable and suggested that we use 8 foot fencing in some areas since the slope is so high to achieve a more uniform look.
Description of Work: I called to get an estimate on 6 foot wooden fence with metal posts for a half acre lot. They came out and gave me a very fair estimate after viewing the site. He broke down the charges showing material costs and the actual labor charges.

I did a little research on Angie's List for Fence companies. The first company made two different appointments with me, missed them both, and did not call with a reason why. Vincent from Two Brothers fences made an appointment with me at 9 a.m on a Sunday and was there at 9 a.m sharp!! He agreed to not only put up the new fence, but take the old one down at no extra charge. The fence is beautiful!! Great workmanship-- perfectly square!! He even included a can of paint for touch-ups, and door knob and deadbolt that he installed himself for no extra charge. He also cleaned up the area he was working in when he was done with the job. It was an all around great experience for us.
Description of Work: Took down old iron fence and replaced it with new, higher iron fence further down the driveway. I wanted it 6 ft. tall, to include a two-door opening so cars can get through, not to hurt any of the slate-stone in our driveway and to include a box for door-knobs to open/close/lock the gate.

I called them on Saturday, they were here by 8:30 am Monday, as promised. They looked at the job and called me within the hour with a price. An hour after that they were on the job repairing the fence. Amazingly fast, knowledgeable and nice guys.
Description of Work: Windstorm caused wood fence to lean. They replaced 4 rotted wood posts with galvanized metal ones, straightened fence, fixed loose boards.

These guys were amazing. I called and he made an appointment for the next morning to come and measure. He was precisely on time, the estimate took less than 10 minutes. He called back 2 days later to give me a date/time for the following morning. He was prompt, efficient, cordial and the work was done very well. He made sure he didn't drill through any pipelines and shaved off and sanded the extra length of the gate hasp so it would fit correctly. Excellent service that I would recommend him to anyone!

They were very prompt with the quote. I was initially looking for a mix of Redwood and chain link to enclose my yard to contain a dog. I had underestimated the price and decided to have them just do the hard parts, the gate and an 8 ft. section on a slope. Overall, it was OK. I was looking for affordable, as I really only needed something to get me by until I remodel next year. After reading the other reviews, I guess I was expecting too much. They were just kind of sloppy to me. They left the materials and tools out on the lawn overnight. They didn't really clean up very well when they were finished. They walked 50ft to dump the drilled out concrete at the back of the lawn when the garbage can was 10ft away. Oh, and they couldn't figure out the splitter on my hose when they needed some water for the concrete mix, so they just took it apart and left it that way. The end result is good enough to get me by for now.
Description of Work: They installed a Redwood gate and a small section of Redwood Fencing.
