Description of Work: Trimmed a large eucalyptus tree. Went well. Have never used an arborist before so I can't compare the service to anything else.

Description of Work: I called with a question about trimming a giant palm tree in our yard and was called back promptly and all of my questions were answered fully and ultimately I was told that the work I wanted to do would be unncessary. I was relieved, reassured and admired his honestey and patience.

Description of Work: Answered immediately when we called about a tree that is not doing well. Gave sound, free advice over the phone, took his time explaining what we could do first, to see if the tree would be doing better and without him needing to come and visit. If I ever need someone to come out, it will definitely be the UrbanLumberjack.

Description of Work: After purchasing a Big Deal, he came to my home to discuss what would be included. It turned out to be a waste of my time because the additional cost to get the job completed was very expensive relative to other quotes. To his credit, he refunded my Big Deal purchase.

Description of Work: Took out some very over grown bushes and two trees. Trimmed a neighbors tree off our garage roof. He had his team out here within a few days and they were efficient and neat. All the debris was gone and it looked very clean. The owner came out himself to remove the stumps and to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We had a lot of questions about trees we were thinking of planting and he was very helpful. We have used him before at a house we owned before we moved to current location.

Description of Work: The Urban Lumberjack came to my property to bid on a one to two thousand dollar project. He declined the work, citing legal restrictions and, in the process, saved me from a potential fine upwards of $15,000. I was impressed with his knowledge, his professionalism and his ethics. Before leaving my property, he noticed a magnolia tree that wasn't doing very well. He pointed out that the tree's roots were strangling each other and told me this was common among magnolias. He recommended allowing him to do a little work on the roots of the magnolia in order to restore it to health. It cost me $60 and saved me thousands! I highly recommend The Urban Lumberjack!!

Description of Work: After a few misteps from both of us, (change of times and dates, flu,bad weather) they did an exellent job of getting the tree down from a very tricky place. they made a difficult job, easier and cleaned up after themselves nicely, they even came back after a couple of months to cut the stump as low as could be cut, now you dont notice the stump amongst the brickwork

Description of Work: I had two small tress removed. Since it was a small job it was harder to schedule. The owner was very knowledgeable and professional, but a little expensive. There was some confusion after the job but the owner came right away and fixed the problem.

Description of Work: The representative arrived on time and was very helpful even though we were out of his service area. The advice he was very good and I am glad we followed his recommendation. The logic that he gave for his recommendation made total sense. Also, recommendation on what we could do to improve the health of the plants and trees and what we could plant was help. He was very nice to talk and spoke exceptionally good english. Thanks

Description of Work: The head arborist came to assess my tree situation. He was very honest and fair. I didn't hire him because he pointed out that the tree in question was the city's ... Thanks to the Urban Lumberjack I didn't have to spend unnecessary money. He also assessed a couple of other trees. When I need tree service, I would highly recommend him!

Description of Work: Steve is very knowledgeable and professional, as well as entertaining. He pruned four of our trees and cut down two others. I would gladly have him back, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
