In June, they were offering a scale and $50 of free postage. My brother signed me up for this, and they sent a scale and a coupon for the free postage. stamps.com refused to give any free postage as the coupon was expired. As far as I was concerned, I thought it was canceled. For the past 8 months, I've been charged 15.99/month. They said they would refund two months, but then after talking to her supervisor, they said they couldn't refund anything. The bank would only credit 60 days from the transaction date, and would cancel my card.
Description of Work: I was charged for months of service without receiving anything.

Great until the recent software upgrade. Now nobody at Stamps.com is able to help with resolving the issue, the hold times for tech support extend into hours. Once you get a support rep, you are told he is putting you on hold to get assistance and you are left there for another hour. It's easier to ignore the customer than to fix what some idiot programmer came up with. All I wanted Stamps.com to do was to provide me with the install program for the previous level of software, which worked fine. I can't even get someone to do that.
Description of Work: While Stamps.com has been a very cost-effective way to handle mailing and postage chores from a home computer, a recent stamps.com software upgrade has left a huge number of their customers unable to access their account. Stamps.com's customer service is plagued with long (unreasonable) hold times, ineffective support representatives, and a bag of sleazy "support tricks" (the latest, putting a customer on hold "while I get a tech support guy to help me" and then leaving them there for hours). Until Stamps.com gets their act together regarding support, and this product adds significantly to the cost of mailing, I'd give them a wide berth. My home-based business relies on services provided by companies like these and when their response to a problem that they caused with their own software upgrade becomes one of ignoring the customer, it's time to just get in the car and go back to the post office!
