Description of Work: We got a quote from Square Cut Fencing Inc about 2 weeks ago to install fencing around my entire yard.

Description of Work: Removal of old fences and replacement with 4 foot horizontal redwood fence and an 8 foot vertical cedar fence along with 2 steel-framed side yard gates.

Description of Work: Failed to any kind of follow-up despite multiple phone calls and e-mails.

Description of Work: Fred (owner of Square Cut Fencing) came out to my house to give me an estimate for replacing my patio fence, part of which had blown away due to rotting wood. Fred looked at the wood and immediately thought it was not outdoor wood, but MDF used for indoor cabinets. Later that evening, Fred emailed me pictures about what the fence might look like and asked me further questions about my patio fence. The next day, he told me that he had sent pictures of my fence to one of his friends who owns a cabinet company and that his friend was shocked that my builder would have used MDF for an outdoor patio. Fred encouraged me to seek recourse with my builder, which I immediately did. Shortly thereafter, my builder apologized and agreed to replace the fence with the appropriate wood. I had had several contractors out to look at my patio before Fred and no on else pointed out the MDF issue. Thanks to Fred's honesty and integrity, I don't have to foot the bill to replace my fence (in fact, the builder is going to replace all of the fencing at my condo building). Although I ultimately may not have the opportunity to use Fred for my fence, I would have absolutely gone with him if I had to replace the fence myself (and I'm going to suggest that the builder just use Fred instead of making the repairs himself). It is so refreshing to see such respect and dignity in a contractor; Fred was more concerned about me pursuing my builder for a faulty fence than getting my business.

Description of Work: Part of my fence had collapsed and they built an entirely new fence about 21 feet long.

Description of Work: Built a horizontal T & G redwood fence with a gate

Description of Work: I had a wooden pair of swinging doors that provided entrance to my yard from a back alley. The wood had deteriorated to the pont that the entire gate structure (bolts in concrete block wall had supported the structure). They hauled away the old material and replaced the swinging gate with a steel-based sliding gate and provided support posts and locking mechanism. All work of excellent quality.

Description of Work: Fred is an excellent craftsman and a great communicator, an excellent combination when it comes to any building. He came out initially to give me an accurate bid that he stuck to but then... he actually did the work himself with his small trusted hand picked crew of two workers. They finished on time, on budget and most importantly... created a beautiful fence around our property. I just hired Square Cut and Fred again to build our pool equipment enclosure. Nothing says satisfied like repeat business and Fred will get mine every time I need a fence built.

Description of Work: Square Cut owner Fred Farnham and two assistants demolished an existing, falling-apart wooden fence for me, installed 80 feet of new redwood fencing in a sometimes-complicated environment, and stained the fence as requested.
