We did not need their services after all because our home purchase fell through.

Extremely difficult to obtain a bid. It takes about a week for someone to come out to inspect. After the inspection, I discussed scope of work with the inspector. I waited for the bid for about three weeks, then finally called the office on a Thursday to follow up and they said that I would have the bid by Monday. I called back Monday afternoon to inquire on status and was told that no work was needed. This feedback is contrary to what was discussed with the inspector. All in all, I was very disappointed that the company was not able to provide a bid.

Very non responsive and didn't have the courtesy to call me back after calling 4 times. I merely wanted to set up an appointment to have someone come out and look at the job site to give us a bid.

There were no additional charges. It was alright. They were fine. They took like a week or a week and a half to get the whole estimate and quote back to me. I'm not going to use them. They're too expensive. The worker was great.

They are polite, professional and prompt. They communicated all the way through, handled the permits properly, and did a fantastic job. They even went above and beyond by cleaning up broken glass under the house (purchased the house and not sure how it go there) and fixed a few other odds and ends they noticed around the house. I was so happy with the job they did.

they were very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. gary spent a lot of time with us giving us all kinds of advice and options. in the end, we had more of a drainage problem than a foundation problem and found another solution based on recommendations from a soils engineer that gary recommended.

After shopping around for a vendor to address our drainage problems we selected Sinai. They appeared to be very knowledgeable about our drainage issue and provided a very reasonable proposal to address the problems The problem required digging on the side and back of the garage. The only access to the back of the garage was through by neighbors property . I was therefore very concerned not only about the quality of the final job but the cleanliness during the project. It took the team about 5 days . The team assigned was very professional. They had a good handle on what needed to be done and cleaned up thourougly after each day. The final work was excellent and actually exceeded my expectations . I would definitely recommend Sinai Construction.

The inspector arrived on time and spent a LONG time crawling around under the house taking lots of pictures, inspecting things, etc. Took these back to the experts (his bosses) at Sinai and they provided an estimate and a full report in a timely fashion (within a couple of days). This was very helpful as I was then able to request a credit from the seller on the transaction.

It went okay. The pricing is a bit high but if they get their pricing in order, I will use them again.

The estimate was very thorough and every question I asked I was provided an in depth explanation. Their bid came in higher then others, but I really appreciated them taking the time to explain why they recommended certain work vs. the other solutions. They also back up their work with a 25 yr warranty. Throughout the whole process EJ was very responsive over email and anything that came up a representative from the office would come to site to check on the work. The men doing the work were always on site before starting time and worked hard. Carlos was very easy to talk to and made it a comfortable situation considering it was three + weeks with them directly underneath your feet, our house on stilts and not much space to work with. They were all very nice guys. All the work passed inspection. Towards the end I think the pressure to finish was on and there were some hiccups in the quality of the finished project, but EJ took good care of us and made sure everything was to our satisfaction in the end. I am very happy with the work and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to get foundation work done.

The provider arrived on time as promised. He was professional and answered my questions as they arose. The report was detailed and included quality pictures of any damage. Their recommendations were included. After receiving the report, I had additional questions, they took the time to answer all of my questions.

It went well. I just could not use their service. I had interacted with 3 other companies on the same project. The other 3assessed the project similarly and estimated the cost of the project around 15000 while Sinai construction estimated it roughly at 70000. Significant difference. The cost being 3-4 x more.

We agreed to a start date, and the Sinai crew arrived promptly on that day. Most of the work was completed more than a day earlier than predicted. Workers were polite and helpful. The only minor problem encountered was the accidental disconnection of an old phone line running through the crawl space. This was very promptly repaired. Clean up was thorough. The work generated more dust in our backyard then I expected, but this was easily taken care of. I've just received photos of the repair work. It looks very impressive to my untrained eye. I don't think we could have had or expected a better experience.

They did a really great job for us!

I am selling my house and needed to fix the foundation as it was sagging in one of my rooms. I contacted E.J. and he came to the house and explained the entire process. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and answered all of my questions and concerns. I received the quote when they said I would and found the price to be reasonable. They did not try to up sell me which I appreciated. The crew was also professional and clean. They cleaned up around the house daily, I had no problems. The floor feels solid now and no longer squeaks! I am very happy with the work performed and the experience with E.J. and his crew was very smooth and stress free. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs foundation work.

They were fabulous. They spent 45 minutes under the house, documented with pictures, and were very thorough. They were too much for us. It would be a great tool if you were in escrow and I would recommend them to anyone buying a house.

Sinai Construction exceeded my expectations on every level. It all started one year ago when we purchased a home that was sliding down a hill. We went into the deal knowing that there was major foundation work to be done. The original foundation inspector (Chon Aragon) was extremely thorough and patient as he examined the house. (Being new to this, we had also had other inspections/proposals from other highly rated Angie's List foundation specialists.) After Chon's thorough inspection he explained some fundamental concerns to us. His initial inspection/evaluation set him apart from the rest. Eventually we met with Gary Sinai, who came to meet us fully prepared, beyond what any of the other contractors did. Gary is intelligent, practical, calm and confident - which is the combination of traits we needed going into such an unknown area. Gary was proactive throughout the process and his entire team of workers were most professional. They explained the process, kept the work site very clean and impressed the city inspector on every level. I communicated with the city inspector who told me that he is very familiar with Sinai Construction and knows the high level of integrity they possess. The foundation project for our hillside home and deck concluded and I never would have known about Sinai Construction if it wasn't for Angie's List. My experience with Sinai Construction was the most positive experience I have had with any contractor and I hope my review will help other home owners, investors, etc.

Sinai Construction was the first company we interviewed to do our foundation work. After our initial meeting with Sinai, we looked into three or four other reputable companies. Sinai was head-and-shoulders above the rest in terms of professionalism and service. Gary Sinai, the founder and president, met with us personally and answered all of our questions patiently. Because we are on a tight budget, Sinai worked with us to make sure we were doing only the work that was absolutely necessary. Throughout the process, Gary Sinai and his team were very reasonable, responsible, and responsive. We agreed on a timeline and budget in advance of the work and Sinai stuck to it without diverging. Once they started the work, they were out there every day from 8 am to 4:30 pm until the project was finished. Also, even after they were paid-in-full, Sinai continued to be responsive and answer various questions I had about the work they did. I am truly grateful to Gary Sinai and his team for providing us with the highest level of service and for giving us a thoroughly positive experience.

The Sinai Crew showed up on time each day. I went over their work schedule with the Job Foreman and went over my concerns and all proceeded well. We have a 60 some year old home and some of the wiring was disturbed during their work. We would let them know we had lost power to some wall plugs and the next day they were repaired. This was no fault of theirs and they were great about taking the time to fix any and all issues we had. Any mess that was created was cleaned up at the completion of the job. About a week after the completion, we received another email with the upgrade pictures and the signed final inspection. Within a few weeks of this work, Los Angeles experienced two good sized earthquakes. Needless to say, we felt very secure knowing this work had been done!

these guys were professional from the start. they arrived on time and gave a timely and detailed written bid for the work a few days later. sadly we could not use them (or anyone) as the driver who caused the damage to our wall was underinsured and we were not willing to spend the time away from work to go to court over it to get a suitable amount to repair the issue. given my interactions with these guys in person and via phone I would call them back in a heartbeat for a similar repair or recommend them to friends. Of the three bids we got they were right in the middle and had the most comprehensive details of what they would and would not do. Very clear and very honest.

I didn't end up using these guys but wanted to commend George on his professionalism. George and his crew came and did a thorough inspection. Initially what George said on-sight was different than what his company later proposed (by quite a lot of money). I asked him why the discrepancy and he offered to come back out on his own accord and explain it and walk us through it. He went above and beyond and was very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend getting a quote from these guys. I went with another company, because George's boss (who I did not meet or talk to) gave me an "all or nothing" quote, and I didn't want to do "all" so it ended up being nothing.

We are in the process of buying a home in a hillside and there is evidence of water intrusion seeping through the walls of the garage. Garry's guys came to inspect a garage, take photos and determine the cause of the water problem. Two of Garry Sinai's guys arrived promptly and spent more than an hour taking photos, crawling through the basement, attic and the overgrown side yard to test the drains to determine the cause of the water intrusion into the garage. They tested patio drains by using a hose and running water through the drains. They discovered that one drain was broken. During testing, water drained down the walls of the garage and not into the street like it should have. They also checked to see if water drained near the foundation. They promised me an estimate within a few days via e-mail, which promptly arrived. I asked many questions and they tried their best to answer them without talking down to me. All-in-all. I was very impressed by their polite attitude and level of professionalism.

The initial reason why I called Sinai construction first was because I found they were the only ones that seemed to back their work with a 25 year warranty. I was able to speak with Gary Sinai who appears to be the owner of this establishment himself. After explaining the situation and the condition of the home, Gary provided very detailed and useful insight based on his experience on why this condition happened and what the possible remediation activities would be and what to look for as well. He could have easily charged the $150 inspection fee(for homes in escrow) and deliver the same message but seemed more concerned about the bigger problem at hand and steering me in the right direction rather then being opportunistic. Even though I may not need his services because I will most likely walk away from the deal, if I or anyone I know is need of Sinai construction services I will definitely advise they talk to Gary or his team first before selecting anyone else to perform the job to get an honest assessment of what is needed.

When I first scheduled them to do the job I misunderstood what the scope of work was to be. It was totally my fault, but I was still concerned that what they had proposed would not fully solve my problem. After some brainstorming with George and the owner of the company, we came up with a solution that cost me a bit more, but we believed would adequately solve my problem. The work was done in the time frame it was promised and the workers were courteous and professional. After the job was complete, both George and the owner reached out to me to make sure I was satisfied. I appreciated their concern and told them that, while I was happy up to this point, I wouldn't really know if what they did worked, until we had a good rain. The owner then contacted me and said he would come back out at no charge if I did have any more leaks. As a business owner myself I really appreciate accountability and Sinai Construction seems to understand that.

I wanted to get Gary's opinion on possibly taking over a job that had been started by another contractor involving waterproofing. He responded to my e-mail immediately with a phone call and explained to me in great detail what was involved in the job and how it should be completed properly. Eventually, we worked out the issues with the contractor that was being used, but I really appreciated Gary's willingness to explain in great detail what was being done. If things had not worked out with the existing contractor, I would have definitely wanted to get a bid from Gary for the work!
