Service Masters Appliance Repair Experts

I purchased a big deal for a major appliance repair. They were very responsive and the repairman came out to provide an estimate, and then came the following week with the new part. The repair was quick, he tested the washing machine to make sure it worked, and it's been fine every since. I was happy that they could work on Saturdays and that he came exactly when he said he would. He was polite, professional, and cleaned up.

They made an appointment and came out promptly. He recognized the problem and made an appointment to come back after the part arrived. He came back and repaired it quickly without a problem.

The technician who arrived (on schedule) was called Mike. He has a strong accent but his vocabulary was good enough and he didn't get upset if I asked him to explain something over. He told me what he thought was the problem, which would mean ordering a new control board at $250.00, plus $180.00 to fit it. He took a $200.00 deposit to cover the part. The next day he called to say he had done some more thinking, researching and consulting with a colleague, and he wanted to come out again with the colleague to investigate further, before ordering the expensive part. They arrived on schedule and started to examine the fridge in detail. They found a problem with the fridge that was nothing to do with the control board, but was more deep seated and not economically repairable. They gave me the deposit back and I paid them $60.00 call out fee, which I thought was very fair for the work they had done, even though the fridge was not fixed. It would have been easy for Mike to have just ordered the control board, fit it and, if that didn't fix the problem, fit another part and yet another. However, he took the time to consider the problem, investigate it properly, get help where needed and then be honest and fair with me.

They couldn’t fix my oven as the manufacturer no longer makes the part. Unfortunately I have to buy another oven.

He showed up right on time he knew right away what was wrong and he had the part on his truck. The service call was already paid for in the big deal so I just had to pay him the $42.50 for the part. He also took a minute to explain to me why the older refrigerators are not as energy efficient as the newer models, a real nice guy I recommend his company.

They came out, but they didn't do the work on the unit because it would void the warranty. I was disappointed because I had taken off work for the appointment and didn't get my fridge fixed, but I appreciated their honesty. They did good by me.

Our refrigerator was running too much. It would cut off, and a few seconds later it would start again. Everything went well. The technician came on time, quickly found the problem, and replaced the defective part with a part he brought with him. He did not have to make another trip to get the part. The service call was $74 and the replacement part was $89.69.

They were very responsive & fixed the problem right away!

The "deal" was good for the service calls and labor only, not the part, which was to be expected. I was fortunate that the part was not terribly expensive. The serviceman who effected the repair, and the office personnel were very nice.

Because of using the wrong Water Filter recommended by someone in Home Depot, it caused the water to freeze all the tubing throughout the refriferator. He had to completely take it apart, then defrost it, which took hours, and then put it all back together and replace the water filter with the correct GE one!!!!

Washer would not work on delicate Alex checked the washer and determined that the panel was defective. We ordered a new panel and he came back and installed for no additional charge. Now it works!

Had to order the part. when it arrived he worked quite late to get it done asap. good man highly recommended

Came to diagnose, but then had to come back and work for hours. It ended up costing way more money than I anticipated. I don't feel like I got any deal.

It was great. He fixed our fridge. He came out and ordered the parts; after 3 days, the parts came in and he installed them in less than 30 minutes. He explained exactly what was wrong with our fridge, as well.

Went well. Came on time and fixed the light fixture in the fridge and inspected fridge function. Was polite and efficient.

Kevin was an excellent troubleshooter, and repaired our dishwasher successfully. Of the $150 we paid total, $75 went towards an Angie's list voucher for two visits and two hours of labor. Kevin was very punctual and courteous and saved us from having to buy another dishwasher. We would go with Service Masters again if we had other broken appliances.

The technician was extremely knowledgeable, diagnosed the problem right away. We had to order the part and he returned the week after. Only small complaint is that I had to follow up and check on status of the part arriving. Otherwise i was very satisfied overall. Great service.

Kevin, the service man, arrived early, checked out the thermostat and the temperature in both the refrigerator and the freezer, answered my questions and explained clearly how the thermostat functions, and then felt the coils underneath the refrigerator and cleaned them. He was most courteous, honest, and helpful. I would recommend this service highly.

Service Masters repaired our Bosch washing machine. Very fair price and prompt efficient service. We purchased the service call as an Angie's list coupon. Thank you!

I bought this as an Angie's List Big Deal. The repairman came out and reviewed the problem, ordered the part and returned about a week later to install the new part. Everything went very well.

We had them come out for a Angieslist deal to look at the freezer. The ice dispenser was not closing properly. They determined they needed to order some new parts as the old ones had rusted. They scheduled a follow up and fixed it.

I can't recommend highly enough Service Masters' contact and scheduling protocol, and the incredibly pleasant and talented technician, Kevin Fedorov, who performed the work and also contacted me several times to confirm service times and alert me to his availability. Mr. Fedorov's knowledge of my appliances specific failures was amazing and his predictions of replacement component parts (from his experience) were nearly precise (without checking). His efficiency and courtesy and expertise might be the most impressive I've ever experienced in 40 years of homeownership in more than four locations all over the US. If I had to choose between the service person's qualities of polite and genius, I would pick genius. But Kevin Fedorov has both. And he was backed up by courteous and responsible contacts and scheduling from Service Masters' office staff. Highly unusual competence and consideration, it seems to me. I've only had one job situation with this company, but it was awfully impressive.

We had hired another company to evaluate our problem. The tech they sent was clearly out of his depth and tried to bull his way through. For instance, he told us that we should have been defrosting our freezer every three months. Of course, for a home sub-zero that is non-sense. We let him go without fixing he problem. That's when I found an Angie's List special for Service Masters, who knew what to do and did it efficiently and professionally.
