I didn't give them fails all the way across the board because they came within 2 hrs of my call. They come in, drained the water out of the machine (which was really stinky) and then proceeded to look into the back of the machine. The rest was downhill. After about 30 mins, the repairman tells me that I need a new water pump. I ask how much that will cost, he says $230.00!! I then ask how long to order the part, he says he has it in his truck. I then inform him that I had just purchased the set used and didn't want to pay $230. He then drops the repair to $180. I ask him if he's sure its the water pump, he says he's positive. Mind you, I googled the code and it pointed to the drain. I was so upset because I had just bought the pair a week prior on Craigslist for $600.00 and was wondering if I had been duped. I told him to let me think about it. They did clean up their mess and put the machines back in place. I asked him about putting the stacking kit on the the machines as the dryer would slide when the washer was in the spin cycle. He told me since they are not the same brand, there was no way this could be done.. I then gave him the $30.00 for the service and they left. I then called the guy that I purchased the set from, told him what the technician said about the water pump. My guy says no way. The water pumps on this machine don't go out. He says its probably something minor and He promised to come and check it out. My guy comes out today, and within 20 mins, he advises that the problem is resolved. A quarter had made its way into the drain trap causing the water to not drain. He didn't even have to pull the machine out. The trap is in the front of the machine. So simple I could have done it myself. He showed me how to check the trap, so it if it ever happens again I know what to do. He also put on a stacking kit to stop the sliding. Just think, if my better instinct hadn't kicked in, I would have been out of $230.00 for a .25 cent problem.
Description of Work: Called the repairman to come and check my washing machine. Water was not draining. Had error code on the machine.

Appliance repair technician arrived on time Sat and diagnosed dryer problem. He could not provide an immediate estimate (needed to check price of parts), and agreed to call back Mon with estimate. I did not receive a phone call Mon. I called back Tue (twice) and was told he did not go to work Mon and they would call us back Wed morning with an estimate. No call Wed morning. I called Wed afternoon (twice) - finally received an estimate. Was told I would receive a call at 1pm Thu to schedule an appointment for repair. Tired of waiting for returned calls, I hired a different service provider.
Description of Work: House visit to provide estimate and diagnosis for dryer not running.

It was a little frustrating because it did seem to take longer than I thought it was going to as I had to wait for all the ice to melt. They came back a little bit later in the afternoon, but I’m not sure if the ice would have gone much before that. It was probably more of a functional stuff as to how long it takes for the ice to melt. It did seem to take a little bit longer and that wasn’t good. The job turned out fine. It’s working great now. Their price was very good. Their responsiveness was very good. Their punctuality was good when they arrived initially, but it seemed to take a little longer than I thought it would. I would use them again in the future if need be.
Description of Work: I used the services of Rodriguez Appliance Repair a couple of weeks ago. It was for my refrigerator freezer as the air part of it was frozen when it was supposed to be frost free. The sensor had gone wrong so it didn’t stop the ice being made and ice got built in the back of it. They had to melt the ice out and replace the sensors. I had used them in May as well.

My oven was not warming and sometimes smelled like gas. I called on monday to Rodriguez Appliances and the worker was respectful and was informed me of the 30.00 service charge. I scheduled for tuesday between 430 and 530. They were available after i arrived home from work. The repair man, Roberto, called at 510 to confirm and arrive promptly at 530. He was friendly, diagnosed the problem in 5minutes and informed me that the pilot/ignitor was out. He showed me how the ignitor did not glow bright. After he replaced the ignitor he again showed how much more brighter the iginitor was. He had the part with him and replaced it within 10minutes. The part has a once warranty. I paid with a check and he left a receipt. I would use this company again. While he was here, my son was doing his homework and we needed to count pockets of 5 people. Roberto participated in the homework assignment.
