Description of Work: I bought the Angies list offer of two hundred dollars worth of work for ninety nine dollars....as I had two window seat cushions that needed new zippers and new stuffing.... Mr. Guzman offered to come pick them up...but I decided to drop them off myself and he was okay with that... When it came time to pick up the finished work...I was advised that and additional two hundred and forty six dollars was due for the work..... I was stunned....four hundred and forty six dollars for two zippers and some stuffing? After discussion Mr Guzman dropped the additional price and allowed me to pick up my completed cushions....I have agreed never to have anything to do with him again....and I think we are both okay with that..... My comment to him regarding my Angies list experience so far....is that five of the six deals I have purchased...all wanted to gut the original deal and charge me exhorbitant additional charges for more work that was not covered in the original purchase. That business model is distressing....but pretty consistent on this Angies List site...it appears... I was seriously taken advantage of the first time I responded.... I have not allowed myself to be abused in the additional transactions....including this one... D. L.

Description of Work: They rebuilt and refinished the base of a grandmother's clock. They replaced the veneer on the top of a 12 inch diameter end table. The work was of marginal quality considering what they charged. I had purchased a deal from Angie's list for $200.00. The way I read the deal it was supposed to complete one refinishing job. It was, in my mind a bait and shift operation. The veneer replacement did not follow the pattern of the original table top at all. they managed to make a $400.00 table look like it came from the 5 and dime store.The clock base was properly done. I believe that the price charged was double what should have been charged. The Angie's deal was very misleading.

Description of Work: I bought a coupon from Rene Guzman Studio for a sofa cleaning. I tried to schedule them twice and BOTH times they never showed. When called about it they gave excuses like they were having car trouble or phone trouble or didn't have my address. On top of that, they made no attempt to contact me to tell me they weren't going to show. I was the one who had to reach out to them. As such, I'd like a refund.
