You go online and it gives you an idea of costs in area and what type of contractors you need to hire. I expected a bit more information then what was given. The website provides basic information for contractors negations and costs of renovations.

Well my cats were fighting with my dogs, and one put a hole in my wall. So I wanted us plastered, when I called they said okay. And they gave me an estimate which was $100 and they came and did all the plastering and stuff. Then when he told me it was $180 I was a little confused, I didn't mind paying the extra money I just wish they would have told me because I had to go to the bank and get my money out of the bank. When er I went to the bank he was so rude. I said I was sorry and everything, then he said he doesn't get paid enough for this sh*t.

It was what they said it was but, it wasn't really that helpful to me. I don't think I got much out that. There is no punctuality, all they do is send you a document. They don't come out to your house and they don't perform a service. I didn't talk to anybody and so I don't think professionalism is applicable. I don't feel the document was thorough enough.

The information on this website is WAY WAY WAY overpriced. I am about to start a renovation of a large gutted apartment, I?m looking for contractors and I?ve been reading up and doing my homework. I?ve been doing research and this not anything that you couldn't find in a book costing less than $20 or for free online. There are Word documents on the site which are checklists of what you need for a kitchen renovation, a bath renovation etc. each document has a video explaining how to fill out the form or list, most of it is pretty obvious. As for sample contracts, I just did a search online and in about 10 minutes found at least 3 free downloadable sample contractor agreements to download. There are 4 "Video Tips? which are approx 1-2 minutes long and are only talking heads. Instead of showing you their heads talking the video could have been used to show you examples of things they were describing. There is absolutely no point usage of the video medium to teach and show. It?s only the camera point at them talking. And then there are 5 PDF ?Translation Guides? Which are glossaries of terms which are used in building/remodeling. One example I?ll give is one of these is about framing (like the other 4 it is only text). I couldn?t picture what each element was he was talking about was since it?s only text. I bought a $12 kindle book called"The Complete Guide to CONTRACTING YOUR HOME? and there are pages and pages of illustrations in the framing section labeled to show you what each element is called.

Reviewed the Website and all the documents provided. This site is good for a home owner looking to act as a General Contractor to deal with sub-contractors on home project. Not the kind of detail that I was looking for as a new RE investor so I requested a refund. Red Head Rehabs was very prompt and responsive to my requests, have no issue with this service.

That was great, very good. He came with a huge ladder. He told me husband he could use the same piece since it was in good condition. He did not try to sell anything. He offered to clean the gutters since he was already there but my husband said no. They were good, on time, and did a good job. He was good, it looked like nothing happened. My husband was happy.

I downloaded some of their materials. It was more of an educational thing. It looked pretty useful.

This document provides a good framework for performing any type of outsourced project for your home. It is detailed sufficiently for novice homeowners who do not have knowledge of any project management activities. Some of the assumptions: 1.) Individual home project: i.e. - Remodeling Guides - The video suggested to go beforehand and perform some due diligence regarding materials cost. In my particular case I chose to wait until the contractors provided recommendations for companies whom they had relationships with and then went directly to the vendors. I also chose to benchmark those vendors cost against wholesalers I researched on the internet. 2.) General Contractors - This document can be used for individual projects or for projects that will be managed by a general contractor, the difference being a cost factor. I had several projects all of which were inclusive of what a GC would be hired for. however took the burden of managing the project as if I were the general contractor (GC). Because my projects were self funded, I did not have the additional funds to source a resource to oversee the projects. This presented an additional and ongoing risk to me in several areas that I accept around compliance, quality, time constraints, and cost. Overall I used this document to help manage each project at a high level. A general contractor will mitigate the risk of project planning and all of the activities associated with the project, albeit at an additional cost for their service. I would recommend this document to anyone who doesn't have experience in managing a project. It will definitely help with setting expectation for you and the general contractor or person who is performing the service. The more informed you are (or appear), the less inclined people are to take advantage of you. One suggestion for Red Head Rehabs - In the kitchen renovation guideline - New (section): There should be a checkbox for flooring and electrical wiring.

this was a wasted expense. some type of membership or something was emailed. i never used it.

Now I know everything about his friend who was sick at time when I bought this deal. I am sorry about his friend. I wish he got better. The information given by provider was useless for me. The same stuff I can find independently on my own.

It was helpful to know what to ask and expect from our contractors.

Its actually a quite helpful tool. I only recommend it for those doing remodels and trying to learn how to manage the job and save on costs. Itll eventually help you and the course will more than pay for itself.

I did I on my own time (watching the videos) and downloading important documents that I intend on using again and again. Never again a remodel without these tools. Very helpful

Worth the money. I interviewed over ten general contractors for my first flip property. I got the program about halfway through the interview process. It took me about an afternoon to complete the program. Program is easy to follow and ultimately helped me hire the right person, at the right price, under the right terms. I would highly recommend this program. I have been a real estate broker for over ten years and I've worked with dozens of contractors on light to medium renovations for myself and sellers. There is value in this program for novice to intermediate investors, and I'd even say experienced investors would learn a thing or two. By the way, I've read plenty of investor/flip books as well, still learned a lot. Right now I've got a crew of 6 workers working around the clock doing a terrific job while my investor friends are wondering why they can't even get their contractor to show up. Thanks Redhead!

That turned out fine. Everything was fine and it took them about 30 minutes.

It was wonderful. It was fine. It was very good. They were prompt and on time. Instead of the 2 hours that was contracted, he spent about 3 and a half hours and said don’t worry about it. The price was outstanding and the quality was very good.

I've hired contractors to do various jobs around the house, from interior/exterior painting to plumbing and electrical for a major master bath remodel. We're about to hire a builder to do a major house remodel and thought any help I could get in selecting the best contractor for the job and managing the relationship would be helpful. While much of this system I've already learned through trial-and-error, I learned enough new from the videos and documents to feel the system is was a good purchase. Would be even better for the new homeowner looking to hire his/her first contractor.

My experience turned out good and it gave me some good ideas. I received the information in the mail and it let me know how to deal with a contractor. It arrived to my home in a timely manner and I learned a lot of things.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It wasn't bad, it was okay. They mailed it to me. I got what I thought I was going to get. I don't think I would use them again. The price was average.

I had them out to explore the contractor management system they used, but ended up using someone else. It’s wasn’t a negative experience but it wasn’t the system I decided to go with.

Worthwhile information for a rank amateur like myself.
