They were great, very pleasant and very efficient. I would recommend them definitely. They were very professional, efficient, timely and great. They're a good company to work with.

On 22 October we got a call from Pure Air Services, Inc., offering to clean and inspect central heating and air conditioning. We are on the "do not call" registry. Their "clean and inspect" deal was $39.99. Later in the day they called again, checking our address. The next morning two men in York uniforms came and connected a suction machine to the living room air duct. Then one went into the attic where the heater/AC is located. A few minutes later, the lead man comes by and tells us that there is a hole in the duct and asks if we want it fixed for $25. We agree. A little later, the lead man comes by with a cell phone pic showing that the blower fan assembly is clogged. He quotes a price in the $600 range just for cleaning the blower fan. We aren't paying that much. A discussion follows in which we are given dire predictions if the blower assembly is not cleaned. My wife tells me aside that she doesn't believe that the pic is authentic. I am 71 and have Parkinson's disease and there's no climbing in the attic for me! Again, after more discussion on the situation and predictions of catastrophic failures, the wife and I agree with a $450 bottom line. Why didn't I consult Angie's List? There was another outfit with the same name. We feel like we've been duped. The total time to clean the blower fan was about ten minutes. I thought that for the cost, some special equipment would be needed. I feel like I just bought an air filer for $450.

After a brief inspection of the atic crawl space and going up on the roof where the heating and airconditioning unit was located, Technician indicated that I had rats in the attic that were chewing my air vents. Technician then told me he could not clean vents as they would fall apart, then recomended the attached information. Technician provided their License Number: 9688453 as well as Liability Insurance BioCide Chemical Cleaning $320.00 UV Lite System: $750.00 New vents: $335.00 Per X 10 Ducts = $3350.00 Total cost $4420.00 I told the technician I needed to get a second opinion and that I would call them back. Technician left my home without charging me any money or performing any work. Inspection of Air Vents showed no evidence of damage from rats. One small three corner tear to vent closest to access opening. Just to make sure there were no rats in the attic, I wired sweet and salty snak bars on a piece of cardbord and placed them in the attic for two days. When I checked them, they had not been disturbed. Technician knew I was a widdow who lived alone.
