Patrick the installer was so nice, personable and made me feel comfortable. I love the quality of the door and the quality of the work. Technician arrived a bit late, but got the job done in under an hour. He was very nice. I found this company because of their Angi offer for 199 spring replacement but found out this does not apply to wood doors which I apparently have, and now I see on the deal, nobody asked me when I called about this deal to confirm this, so I found out at the last minute that it could not be for 199, so I was kinda forced to accept the new price even though I had other vendors that can do it for less because I had to get it done in short order and only learned at the late appointment this was not going to be the price. You know how that feeling goes when you think its one price, and then at the last minute it wasn't going to be that? Horrible feeling. I knocked off one star for that, besides the price, everything else was great.

Very happy about replacing my ancient garage door opener with the latest and newest. Technician showed up shortly after courtesy call and was very informative. Explained California's law regarding battery back ups, the importance of having one, and all the cool feature my new motor offers. Very happy with quality of service and products.

Used Haro Garage door half the price for the same door and opener

I used their service in 2014. I wrote this review then, but decided to be nice and not to post it. Well, I feel it necessary now to post it because the garage door opener they sold me has never worked correctly (even after they came out to "fix" it), and now it is flat out broken. I have no interest in contacting them again for the repairs because I fear they will just give me more poor service and faulty products. Not worth the time and frustration. I will call someone else this time. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. 2014 - Called for service when our garage door started to not open without a bit of a push from underneath. The experience began with the technician arriving 1.5 hours after our 2 hour scheduled time. No one called to tell me there was a delay, I only found out when I called myself to see where he was. I was then told that the springs and rollers needed to be replaced and that this would cost $585. I asked for a discount and he lowered the price to $420. After the springs and rollers were replaced, he calls me into the garage with "bad news". The motor is burned out. Did he not know this? I was told that the springs and rollers would fix my problem, now I'm going to have to shell out hundreds more for a new motor? He leaves, telling me to call when I am ready for the motor and says I will have to manually open and close the door. IT GETS WORSE. The next day, I go to leave for work and I can't budge the door. I have pulled the emergency release, it is completely disengaged and the door won't budge. So I call Precision Door svc again. Megan tells me that someone will be here within an hour. Needless to say, that hour comes and goes with not so much as a phone call. I call back and am told the technician will call me with an ETA. He calls and tells me it will be about an hour. So, here I sit, missing work because I can't get my car out and still no one is here. Avoid these people!

Excellent installation of new garage door. (high-end quality) I'm a professional and a capable construction-engineer, After self-installation of a recycled garage door, I knew I needed garage door professional help. I had done several things wrong. The contractor did a most professional job, including: - installation of new garage door - removed recycled garage door - worked-around cluttered garage, and heavily-loaded shelving (including shelving immediately above garage door) - Framing , 'true square' and sealing of gaps around the garage door - reuse of garage door opener (new) bought from HomeDepot Contractor did an excellent job in all aspects (Cost, Schedule and performance)

It was quick service and have no failures to report.

The salesman mis-represented the availability of a black door being in stock Given delays with backorder, it took more than month to deliver. Motor was in stock so it was installed to lift the original door during this time.

Panels matched good. Garage door has no issues now.

Precision Overhead Garage Door Service was very responsive on getting a technician to my home same day I called. I called at about 9:00 am, and Richard arrived at noon. I knew what the problem was, based on past experience. On the screw drive garage door opener, sometimes the teeth on the trolley part eventually wear down and are no longer able to lift the door open. I described the problem over the phone to Richard, and after inspecting the operation of the door, he assessed the problem was a weak/failing spring. He indicated the door felt very heavy to lift by hand with the opener trolley disengaged. He suggested replacing the 6 year old heavy duty spring, but I requested that he instead properly adjust the tension of the spring instead. Much less expensive alternative to swapping out an entire spring assembly. Giving generous mostly 'B' grades because of this, 'A' for responsiveness. Would have been higher if he had presented the adjustment option to me first, rather than me having to ask for it myself.

They were excellent, the first time they came, & then they came to check for the maintenance of the garage door. The garage door works perfectly with my car. They do follow ups & they do things perfectly.

Testing if this really work for Precision Door Service

A technician came and aligned the garage door and checked out all the rails. He tested the garage door and it worked fine. The next day the garage door broke again. The same technician came and went over the broken door again. We decided to install a new door and rails. He was able to credit the initial bill to the second one. The work was completed professionally and in a timely manner. I would definitely use Precision for any garage door problems again.

Not well . Toney the service man was like any scam artist trying to see how much he could get away with. He gouged the price about 300 percent . Had I not been in a considerable hurry at that time l would have told him to hit the road , Do not call these people they are a classic rip off ! 530 bucks for a 70 dollar set of springs ,and 30 minutes labor .

I called Angie's List and after further discussion with Angie's Representative - I decided to cancel the deal out and seek a more responsible vendor for my Deal.

1. Company cancelled hours before our agreed upon time. I responded with an email advising that I am a nurse that works nights and have to move a lot of things (refuse over time, change sleeping patterns) around to schedule appointments during the day. They never replied. I received a call from the technician advising me that he was 20 minutes out the next day (never received an email advising of a new schedule) as I was heading to another appointment, which I had to cancel. 2. The technician was courteous, professional and finished within the time frame he laid out. I would use this vendor, if the call center improves their customer service.

Repairs needed were swiftly identified and repairs done in a prompt and efficient manner.
