Precision Overhead Garage Door Service

I was very pleased with the service I received. The men who came out were very polite, quick, efficient, and clean.

They were great. I paid them an extra $300, I am not sure, but I think it was an extra. I thought the price was high. I would not use them again in the future.

They came fixed the springs and went above and beyond what was necessary. Tightened all the screws in the door and wall, fixed a couple of broken / loose screws. Really impressed.

I was not going to write this review but because I get constant reminders to follow-up, I decided I would do it. The vendor performed the basic tune-up as requested. However, the vendor's suggestion to replace the rollers on the garage door made the tune-up appear to be nothing but a pretext for a significant up charge for an improvement that can be obtained from other Angie's List vendors for a fraction of the cost (e.g., $79). (Curiously, the technician seemed to be oblivious to what I had already paid and acted as if the visit were nothing but a sales opportunity.) Additionally, the vendor did not even complete the reattachment of the garage door wiring that was supposed to be part of the additional work and associated price increase. I would be very cautious about engaging this company.

Can't remember date or cost. Records were lost when my ceiling fell in after heavy rain a few years ago. The doors were old when I moved in in 2001. They have always been helpful, only fixed what needed attention, never tried to sell extra parts or work. I would recommend them highly. I would use them again in the future.

Appointment time was 12/30/14 qt between 9:00AM and 11:00 AM. At about 9:30 AM I received a call from Tony that he would be running about 1 1/2 hours late due to unforeseen work requested on his first job. Tony agreed to call me when he was done with his first job and was leaving for my job so I was able to do errands in the meantime. He did call and state that he was 15 minutes away. He arrived in about 10-12 minutes, assessed the needs for a repair, and began work. He was done within 1 3/4 hrs. Overall, I think Tony was considerate, professional and courteous.

I didn't have the work done due to an illness.

They showed up on time, cost was as expected. They finished the job quickly and professionally.

Great. Main spring broke Sunday afternoon, called them at 4pm, they quoted arrival between 6-8, they arrived at 6:30, everything was done by 8:00. Professional, friendly, fast. Yes, a bit expensive (though they did overall all hardware), but very much worth it - fixed on a Sunday, and basically rebuilt garage door. I would definitely use again.

Did I need the heavy duty springs? I am not an garage door expert! I had to call Precision for an invoice showing the work completed. I hope that my old springs won't be sold to another customer as heavy duty springs.

They did the tune up and recommended that we have the springs changed. The quote for the springs seemed very high. However he was punctual and a knowledgeable and did a good job. However due to the high quote I would not use them again in the future unless it was another deal.

It went great! This is my first write up on services provided from Angie's List and I felt compelled to write it. Roy from Precision Doors arrived right on time, was very professional and did a great job. The doors work better than they have in years. Roy, took his time and was very thorough and cleaned up when he wad done. He represented his company well and I would definitely recommend Precision to others. Jim Gilbert

Excellent job done in a relatively short time.

We were scheduled for 2 - 4. They called and let us know they were running about an hour and a half behind. When the contractor arrived we let them know what we needed in addition to the Angie's List advertised deal. After looking at our door the representative let us know that our spring was worn and needed to be replaced. Their price for everything was fine but we have other priorities with our house. The company reiterated safety issues with spring should it snap. Still, we had our mind set on completing our objectives with the door which did not include replacing the spring at this time. Then the company made an offer with the price that made it a "no brainer." Their explanation was since they were late and their concern for the safety issue. We took the deal. The following day all work was done professionally and efficiently.

.I am most disappointed with this company. I checked their webssite and they listed all the discounts like Senior discount and Triple A discounts and the salesman did not even mention any of this to me. I canot understand how they got on Angie;s List. It makes me distrustful of your recommendations although my son used an automotive repair place we found on your list and likes them very much.

It was excellent! The man who did the service was a wonderful person and he answered all of my questions.

They were actually very nice. They were great. They took everything with them and swept out the garage if there was any mess. Everything was pretty good. They explained everything to my elderly parents including how to use it and which buttons to press. We did quite a few quotes and I wanted to go with quality as well as with the pricing. There were some things that were less, but I liked their quality of material. It is great that they took the time with my elderly parents to sit there and explain things and not leave it up to younger folks to explain it. It was the best thing that I really appreciated.

They are very good. They did great. They actually came in right away. I didn't have to wait a day and the other thing is they were really good about two hour window as opposed to a four or six hour that everybody else uses. I would use them again.

I came home from running errands and our garage door would only roll up a few inches. After successfully getting it to open all the way, I then tried to close it. It went down ok then I tried to opened it again and it only came up about 1/2 way and stopped with one side about a foot higher than the other, I knew I was in trouble. I called Precision at approx. 5:20pm and by 7:20, I had received a call from Jesus Martin (their technician) letting me know he was on his way and shortly thereafter he was in our garage working and by 8:30 he was gone and our door was fixed. I am extremely pleased with the company's timeliness and the work done. What happened next told me a lot about the company. I began to feel a bit of buyers remorse over the price after seeing what some others had been charged for "similar services". So I sent them an email explaining my concern and the very next morning I received a call from the owner. We spoke at length and the bottom line is that he was concerned because I expressed concerned over the cost and that just doesn't happen very often at all. I was asked how much I felt I was overcharged so I told him and he said, you know that's fair and you will be receiving a refund check in the mail. The check arrived yesterday (9/10/14). Again I could not be more pleased with the company, their work and will absolutely use them again should the need arise. "Things" happen and it's how a company treats you after that tells you everything you need to know about them. Great job, thank you.

They also had to replace a sensor, and the extra cost caught me off guard. Overall, I was satisfied because I haven't had any problems since the work was completed.

They were very punctual and reliable and also helped me clear out the garage area before they started working. I have six children and I wasn't able to clean out the space before the work was getting done.
