The tech was prompt and professional. He diagnosed the problem and also mentioned some future issues we may have do to the age of the system. He tightened up bolts and springs and our garage door has been operating smoothly since the repair. It would be good to price out repairs of this nature since some of the upgrades quoted were expensive, but having no knowledge, I had no way of assessing the need or the value of the repair.

I called them yesterday and set up an appointment for today. They couldn't do the same-day service of which they advertised, so I scheduled for between 8-12. 9 a.m.came around, and no one had called. I finally got in touch with them and they informed me that the manager had changed my appointment to 4:30, but no one took the time to tell me. I could have spent my time in a more valuable way today. In my mind, if a manager won't keep his word, that makes me feel that the work wouldn't be good either.

David A our technician came out to give us an estimate but also prepared to do the work that day. He spent 3.5 hours and the openers were so quiet that a neighbor came over and David will be installing one for him in the next two days. As for the price you get what you pay for in equipment. The best in the big box stores with subbed contractors would have been half the cost however the quality is not the same. Plus who do you call to repair if needed. So far so good with my experience from Precision Doors.

I had a minor problem with them before. They did not pick up a bend in something the first time they came out, but this guy did and fixed it really good.

When we heard our garage door spring loudly snap on the Sunday before Labor Day,, we thought we would be without a car until Tuesday. The door is very heavy and was inoperable manually. We called several places and got voicemail or a we're closed until Tuesdau message. Precision answered the phone and amazingly had Jeff M on site within an hour. he assessed the situation, recommended the needed repair/replacement and finished the job in 45 minures .He was polite, friendly and professional throughout. The door operates better than ever before.

They did a good safety check and showed me some other possible upgrades.

We bought the Big Deal for a garage door tune-up. When I called the office, the service person was very knowledgeable and professional. She scheduled the service for a couple of days later. Chris, the serviceman, arrived on schedule. He listened to the problems we had been having and immediately spotted the issue. He explained what he was going to do and got to work. He finished quickly and again went over all the details. Then he made suggestions about what we could do to prolong the life of the garage door opener and the springs. I was very impressed with his friendliness, professionalism and competence. We will definitely use Precision Overhead Garage Door Service in the future.

Aaron was right on time. He quickly identified the problem and fixed it. Since the door was also making some noises and it hadn't been serviced for a quite some time, I asked Aaron to check the "rollers" as it was a good time to take care of this. Aaron showed me the roller I had and the wear on it then showed me the type he could put in. I asked him the price, thought it was reasonable and asked Aaron to replace the old ones which he did in a very efficient manner. Aaron was nice and professional; couldn't ask for any better service. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely use Precision Overhead Garage Door Service again.

Everything went well; efficient, explained everything and when done, the door and opener worked perfectly. Very happy with them.

Awful. sham. con artists. bait and switch. run away. danger, danger! I tell the guy that I needed a remote control as well as the tune-up. No problem, says he, a new one is in the truck for $50, but if you take two I'll give it to you for $80. I informed him that I would think about it as he did the tune up. 9 minutes later the tune up is done (how's that for $80?). In which time I've gone out and found the remotes at home depot, sears, etc., all through the power of google. brand name universal remotes matching my equipment. average price of $20.99. I tell him I don't need the remotes, and he questions me. So I tell him I just found them online. He looks at me and offers to look at the website to tell me what is wrong with it, as he again tells me that their prices are "very competitive". He then tells me that I need new springs and tension cables. I ask how much for this "safety issue fix". First price given is $600. I tell him that seems a lot of money. He tells me that I don't understand the gravity of the issue and that I need to fix this to stay safe, and that when it does break it might damage the house and cost a great deal more. I haggle him down to $300 for the springs, $150 for the cables. so now we are at $450 without remotes. So he will now throw in the remotes for $20 each, "even though we won't make any money on them now", thereby verifying the price that I had found just beforehand. So now he has admitted that they were trying to charge me 200% markup on suggested retail. I tell him that still seems a great deal of money and he comes down to $400. I ask if he is going to change the spools as well or leave them. He pauses and then tells me that he doesn't want to appear to be trying to "upsell" me, but he'll give me the emergency fix treatment for the $400 or I can get the ultimate fix which includes bearings, spools and a lifetime guarantee for another $150, taking the total to $550, plus he will now throw in the remotes for free! What a bargain! I ask him if he'll do it all for $500 and he pauses, then agrees. But he has to go back to the shop to get the springs so he'll be back later. As he is cleaning up the truck, I go in, do another google for repairs in my area, call the very first name on the list. They answer. I describe what I need done, including spools, cables, bearings, springs. He first asks me "why I think I need to replace all of that". He didn't just offer to do the work, but questioned if it really needed to be done! Perfect! I gave him the lowdown and he agreed that it probably should be done. He offered to do the whole job for $300, same day. I told him I had competition in just now and that they were pricing above this, and he asked if it was "Precision". When I said yes, he indicated to me that they have a reputation. Indeed. So, don't give Precision your business. It's a scam. bait and switch on work, and their markups are deadly. Outrageous.

I had a very minor problem. The service was good. They did the work immediately. I would recommend them to a friend or family.

I met the serviceman and explained the problem. We operated the door and then he launched into a long list of things that needed to be done and how much it would cost. I walked away to meet some other people. I originally called because I had received a coupon for a $49 for a tune up. When I came back I somehow I had a bill for $194. I never authorized this much work done. Just because we talked about different things it was not my authorization to do the work. I paid because I had some other people waiting for me and I didn?t have time to argue with the technician.

They showed up on time and completed all work and agreed upon price. Also very courteous and friendly.

I use this every two years for a check up on the garage door. Technician arrived on time, was pleasant, lubricated the door mechanism. Checked everything out. No issues. I have used Precision in the past for repairs and the every two year check up.

I called Chris in the morning and he scheduled the repair between two and four in the afternoon. Chris was on-time and completed the repair in 35 minutes.

That went well. I just had that done yesterday. There were no additional charges. So far so good.

It turned out well. I'm fine with everything. He came and did the job and didn't try to sell me anything else which is the way I wanted it.

The tech advised us that it was worth repairing our garage door instead of replacing it, because of its sturdy construction. We had been dealing with having to manually open and close it on trash day for at least a ouple of years. Obviously, we weren't eager to spend money on it :-) But we finally decided to get it fixed, and while it was a chunk of money to fix, it sure is nice to have a working garage door again, and we've got a lifetime warranty to boot! I was especially impressed with the fact that service was available on a Sunday night. Wow.

The guy was great. He was very friendly, nice, and on time. I do not think he addressed all our issues and I have to call him back out, but I would use them again even if it was not him. I would definitely call them again and use them. There were no additional charges to the $79 Big Deal. What stood out the most was how friendly he was. We had to put our dog down that day and he completely understood how upset my wife and I were. He was sympathetic. I will always remember him for that. Overall, it was a good experience.

The work was satisfactory. I wasn’t crazy about the service tech that came out. She was more interested in showing new garage doors rather than servicing the openers.

I was not very pleased with them. When they came out, they claimed I had a different amount of rollers than what they signed up for. Called his manager, and begrudgingly replaced all of my rollers.

I was quite happy with them. I had a problem with the door when they came out, they diagnosed it. There was a broken spring. They were very prompt. They got there the day after I called them. They explained everything to me. They showed me what the problem was. In addition to what I had in Angie's List, they had a triple A discount so got a discount on the additional work. That afternoon, they have the parts on the truck and it has worked fine ever since. I was quite happy with the result.
