They came to inspect the garage door and service it. I had them go through the door-opener motor and replace all the rollers. Technician was friendly, polite and professional. Door is working great.

They asked me how much I paid. The service was only for that. Not for the advertised value.

Originally, they never called back. We just waited for several weeks actually and they never called back. They were supposed to call back within a few days. But then I called and talked to their dispatcher. She set me up for a few days hence. Then Trent and his buddy came out and did the basic work, the lubrication, adjustments and so forth. They pointed out that some of the roller bearings in the transport mechanism were shot. That's what was making a tremendous noise when the door was in operation; it was very loud and clanking. So they offered to replace them for $129, which was a discounted fee. They did the work. They were here a couple of hours. The garage door is in wonderful shape now; it's very quiet. So we are quite happy with their work. The big deal was for $39. The additional charge of $129 was for replacement parts plus installation. They replaced ten roller bearings. That was the basic problem with the garage door opener. They pointed out that the motor was very old. It is about twenty five years old. They told us not to replace it as long as it was working. We always have to watch out for this; people come out, do a basic overhaul and then they say that we need to do this and that thing. We wind up paying several hundred dollars. Precision Overhead Garage Door Service did point out that the motor could be replaced and the garage seal at the bottom of the door could be replaced. They said that it was not really necessary and that they wouldn’t recommend replacement. So that gave me confidence that they were not trying to milk the project for more money. They did not get back to me as they had promised. I bought the plan, called them and left a message, but nobody got back to me. This was when I originally bought it on September 30th. We had a lot of things going on this past month, so I didn’t call them back again until just a couple of weeks ago. Then they did send somebody out right away. With regard to quality, they did very good. With regard to responsiveness, they weren't responsive to schedule appointments when I contacted them. With regard to punctuality, they gave me a window of 10 to 12, and they showed up at five minutes to 12. They were very knowledgeable and professional. They knew what they were doing.

He checked the doors operation and proceeded to replace the rollers. His workmanship was thorough and efficient completing the task quickly and leaving the garage free and trash. Jeff was personable and professional at the same time. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

A technician came on time. He lubricated the garage door hinges. He determined that the springs needed adjusting and gave us a verbal bid for the spring adjustment. We decided to ask him to proceed to adjust the spring. He did it.

We purchased the $99 Angies list special to replace rollers and do a tuneup on our garage door. The technician was on time.The technician said I needed new springs, which was true.He pointed out that one was broken. He quoted a price to replace springs and cables and refurbish all rollers and balance the door. He applied the cost I paid for the tune up to the total cost. Springs were a heavier duty than the replacements.

We are satisfied with the tune-up; however, we were quite aggravated by the fact that they tried to up-sale us significantly on services that were far cheaper than the exorbitant prices they were quoting us. They were supposed to install silent wheels in the tracks but the service man informed us that he did not have the tools to do so. They also continued to insist that we purchase new electronic eyes for the garage door as well as an opener marked far above the standard price that I was able to find more affordable on my own.

The technician arrived on time. He took ample time to calibrate the closing of the garage door, making sure there was not a gap once the door was closed.

After initial inspection, Jeff suggested some parts should be replaced due to the age of the door (18 years old) which was not covered by the coupon offer. He found the problem that caused my door not to close properly so I declined the extra work. But I am very pleased with his work and the door closes so quietly I forgot that it had ever worked that well. I would definitely call Precision Overhead Garage Door Service the next time I need work done.

It all went well and I'm very happy with the results. My garage door was working okay but making more and more noise, so I bought the Angie's List Deal. I called Precision on Saturday Oct. 26, 2013 and set an appointment for Monday, Oct. 28, 2013. Artie was to come to my house between 2 and 4 PM and he called first and then arrived at around 3 PM, as promised. He noticed when he was lubing the end bearings that one of them was damaged, and it was crooked because the installation I had was not properly secured. He recommended replacing the bearing, which I was more than happy to have done. Bearings come in two packs so he replaced both ends and properly secured both of their new mounts, so I shouldn't have that problem again, with the mount moving and allowing the bearing to move and become damaged. The noise I was hearing was caused by the damaged bearing so the door is now operatating quietly. For the first time I now have a keyless entry pad on my garage door. I'm happy about that, too.

They were very polite and right on time. They did a good job. Very professional, and explained everything to me. I would use them again.

The tech arrived on time, but did not seem to know why he was there. I asked if I should move my car, and he replied that it depended on what he was there for. I told him, and he wanted to see the voucher. I returned three or four minutes later, at which time he told me that I needed to replace my spring with two springs as well as the rollers. When I hesitated, he said that it was a safety issue but if I wasn't concerned about it, it was my problem. The door was noisy, and I knew from past experience that the parts needed lubrication. He spent about two minutes applying some solvent in a few places. There was no improvement in noise level, and he claimed that noise reduction could only be achieved by performing the work he recommended. He was here less than 20 minutes, with an estimate (unwritten) of $450.00 for needed repairs. I immediately called another Angie List vendor. He was in the area and arrived within one hour. He noted that the spring was worn and would eventually break, as they all do, but there was no risk and it may last another year to two. Also, the door was light, and I did not need two springs. He asked how long it had been since the parts had been lubricated, and I told him Precision had just done so. He said that he could find no evidence of any recent lubrication, and that lubrication would eliminate the noise. I paid him $30.00 to do so, and the noise was gone. He recommended that when the spring eventually breaks, I replace the bearings, as they are worn. He gave me an estimate of $250.00. I have his receipt and recommendations, which I can provide if needed.

The provider was very nice and understanding when they noticed that my garage door needed a lot more than a tuneup, what my certificate was for. It turns out that my garage has a broken spring...this was not included in the tuneup. The gentlemen that came out were very informative and understanding when they left without doing the job. They were very pleasant when the told me how to get a refund for the tuneup certificate. All and all I would use them in the further, just because they weren't hard sales and they seemed to know what they were talking about. We have yet to fix the door and I will probably call them to do the job.

I was very happy with the professionalism of Precision and and the technician that performed the work. I specifically asked for several additional things to be done to and with our garage door system. I feel that the price that I paid, especially since we have not serviced our garage door system in over 10 years, was completely fair ($600+). I would definitely use Precision again and would absolutely recommend their services to friends and neighbors.

He was not the best but he was ok. He came out and did the work. He just put some oil on the garage and considered a tune-up.

They really overcharged me and I even mention that I actually purchase before tuneup and repair to got a new door. I have a $80 coupon and instead of subtracting they added that to the payment. I would never used them again. Not only that the door really wasn't even repaired. They guys that came out was not very good. I would never do business with them again and I wouldn't feel comfortable recommending them to anyone that I know. They were very quick to respond to me and they came out on time. I just think that they took advantage of us.

Excellent! Our garage door was not closing correctly and would leave a one and a half inch gap between the bottom of the garage door and the garage floor on the right side. The technician, Artie,who in my opinion represents Precision in a very professional manner, was able to make the appropriate adjustment and now the door closes as it should, leaving no gap on either side. He also pointed out to me another issue with the system and provided an estimated cost to repair. However, due to finacial difficulties at this time I opted to postpone this repair to a later date. Bottom line is that should anyone be in need of a garage repair that they themselves can not correct and who doesn't want to deal with any high pressure sales pitch on things other than that which needs to be addressed, I would highly recommend Precision Overhead Garage Door Service.

Precision was on time for the appointment. Upon examining my garage door, I was told that providing the tune-up would not benefit the operation of the door because I needed to replace all the door parts costing approx. $1000. I was not prepared to pay that,so he did nothing.

On the original phone call an appointment window time was set and agreed upon. The day of the appointment I got a call saying that Art was delayed at his previous appointment would be at my home within a set time and I appreciated the called. But when the time came, Art was not yet at my home. He was 90 minutes later then when the caller said he'd be at my home. Art apologized profusely and got to work immediately. He did the inspection and we discussed his findings and his recommendations. He installed the keyless entry pad. After looking into the date as to when the door was installed and the maintenance work recommended by Art; my husband and I contacted Art again to complete the work. He came out completed the work exactly as he had quoted it on his original visit and the work he did is covered on 5-Year Warranty. If there is any other issue with my garage door I would definitely call Art back again.

So I purchases the $39.00 garage door special knowing that I needed much more than that needed. My garage door was extremely loud. So loud that I worried about waking up my neighbors every time I can home. Well after they completed the inspection it was determined that I needed all new rollers and the track needed to be re-aligned. Basically every time I opened my garage door, there was a loud popping sound due to the uneven track which in turn resulted in the rollers wearing out prematurely. Precision Door Service fixed my door and completed a 25-point safety inspection. Plus they gave me advise on how to lubricate the pins on my own. Upon completion my garage door is much more quiet, the popping sound is gone and I imagine that the motor will last longer as it isn't straining to pull the door open. I will definitely go with this company again but I suspect that it may be a while as the door rollers come with a 5 year warranty! Thanks Precision Door Service.
