Precision Overhead Garage Door Service

They did a good job. It seems high but that might been the comparable rate. The work has turned out good. I didn't have any problem.

Fast, and professional. Recommended to 3 other neighbors... we all are satisfied with the service and price. I'm only giving the quality a B grade because I did not understand what the inside of the garage door would look like.. I thought it would be solid like how my wood garage door looked...and I would have considered paying more if I knew or throughout understood the options. But I have been very happy with what they did install as far as functionality, and it looks fabulous on the outside.

Our electricity was out for a long time and when I attempted to open the garage door manually - the spring broke. I called Precision and a service man arrived late in the evening. He was aware of my dilemma and quoted me an exorbitant price of which, if I rejected it I would have my cars stuck in the garage for a long time. I had to allow him to replace the spring and he charged me $450.00 for a job that was quoted by other repair people at a maximum of $100 per spring.

Replaced the rollers and bearing on garage door. Adjusted and made it work really well. Came when they said they would come and did a great job. Will definitely use them again.

Technician was efficient. Did exactly what was contracted and even provided a look at our lights on the motor which were not operating properly.

One day my one garage door quit working. Motor was turning but not going anywhere. Figured out online it was probably just the drive gear that stripped/broke-very common after 15 years. Called Precision as they would come out on a Sunday. Didn't even look at gear/motor and told me I needed new doors as they were too heavy. For a short term fix I could just replace all the springs, rollers etc. on both doors. Cheaper repairs were quoted at around $1,200. New doors would obviously be much higher. I knew he was a liar so paid him the service call fee and sent him away. Had a reputable company come out later in the week. He said right away it was the drive gear. Fixed in less than 30 minutes and it cost me around $80. Told him my experience and when I said who I used he laughed and said I had just been Precisionized!!! Said they actually have a term for it. That was probably three years ago and everything is still working just fine, without new doors, hardware or any further repairs.

They replaced the springs, wheels and oiled all the mechanisms. Everything was quick and easy. Garage door was smooth and quiet when they were done. They cleaned up after themselves and technicians were all courteous.

They were very responsible and did a fine job. I was a General Contractor for 35 years so I have a pretty good idea of sub contractors and their work. I have only positive things to judge them by.

Representative was professional and efficient. Diagnosed the problem, gave me the alternatives and quickly replaced a spring and made the door functional again. Great job.

The technician was thorough, fully inspecting the door and the mechanism. He identified the cause of the sound - which, ultimately, was not problematic - but educated me about aspects of the garage door with which I was not familiar. He immediately noticed a few minor issues that could escalate over time and remedied them.

One of the springs on my garage door broke in the early evening and because of that it was impossible to open the garage door. Needing the car to go to work the next morning, I placed a call to Precision and they immediately sent a worker out to my house. I had both springs replaced for a cost of $204 with a 2 year warranty. While maybe not the cheapest they were punctual and courteous and most businesses were closed at the time that I called.

On 04/10/14, my rollup garage door was damaged by my housecleaning crew. I reported it to the housecleaning company and they selected Precision Garage Door Service to inspect the damage and to provide a repair estimate. A technician came to my house on 06/08 to inspect. I indicated that he should provide the repair estimate to the housecleaning company since they would be paying for the repair. According to the housecleaning company, they had difficulty getting Precision to return calls. Finally, my housecleaning company decided not to use Precision due to their lack of responsiveness.

Precision came out in a timely fashion and did a great job replacing the cables. Our garage door is as good as new!!

It went great, the were done in no time. Came prepared, had all the parts with them.

The service tech serviced the door and recommended spring replacement. I agreed with the assessment. Mydoor is a heavy insulated garage door that has two springs I didn't realize until after he left that he replaced the springs with a single spring which is totally unacceptable. The prices quoted were high but I did not feel confident replacing the springs myself. Advertised prices do not come close to what you will pay for substandard work.

Will never use this company again. Mounted sensors in drywall with just screws instead of using an anchor so they were loose and moved at times when garage opened, then would not close without me having to realign the lazor llight. Month after installation, garage would not open so I called company back. Employee showed up and asked " if I changed the wiring which I did not" then rewired the connection to the motor. And found a cut in the wire stapled to a stud along garage door and felt I must of cut it. Maybe not using such a cheap wire would solve this type of problem as I am not sure why anyone would cut the garage door wire.

They arrived on time, fixed the garage door and the remotes, which another garage door company said wasn't doable! So instead of replacing everything, this company fixed the existing system. Excellent.

I purchased two of Angie's List specials for this service. We were able to arrange the appointments back to back at two different sites. He lubricated the assembly, adjusted the spring, and at one of the address notified me of wear and tear on rollers and the need to replace soon. Told me what to look and listen for to know when they needed to be replaced. Was friendly and helpful and not a hard sell on other work that could have been done at the time.

The technician arrived late, but was very courteous and helpful at first. The garage door wasn't closed at all due to the strings/coils/tensions being broken. I was quoted a price which seemed reasonable so I called Precision. When the man arrived, he did a comprehensive inspection and told me that I just needed one thing. Eventually, I would need another and another and another. The price started at several hundreds and escalated alarmingly. I knew nothing about garage door so when the tech presented me that these things were necessary or the fix might break again in days, weeks. I didn't trust him at this point, but he was here and already took things apart. When I raised questions at him, he became unfriendly and the nice, pleasant man that I first met no longer existed. While he worked, he expressed a lot of displeasure vocally. I was uncomfortable. He left a big mess and only cleaned up minimally. I had to do the rest. I understand that he was a salesman and tried to sale, but if you didn't go with his plan, he was not pleasant to deal with. Afterward, he handed me a new garage door opener , and packed up his things. I asked him if he was going to compute the garage door opener so I could use it, he told me it would cost me extra. After spending a lot of money on one garage door, you think he would do it for free. He finally did it begrudgingly. I would not use this company again. It had good ratings, but perhaps I got unlucky with a sullen, young man who wanted me to comply to all his recommendations.

It went extremely well - had a lot more work needed than I had anticipated, therefore had to spend more than I had hoped for, but my garage door has never worked better!
