I called 2 other companies and got voice mail. Power up answered their phone and offered to send someone the next day. They gave me an estimate, and e- mailed me to confirm the arrangement. They also call to let me know when they were on their way. Frank and his apprentice Jose inspected my circuit board and outlets. I needed GFCI Outlets on a dedicated circuit to charge my plug in hybrid car. They explained what was required and that did the work cleanly and efficiently.

Gabriel was very professional. I needed the work done sa soon as possible so he sent Frank out within a couple days. He was very personable and efficient. I originally got the $99 special but my electrical problems were more serious than thought. We found that we needed a whole new "whatever you call it" for two lighting panels. Frank gave me the choice to complete the additional job that day or he was willing to come back the following day if I did not have time. I thought that was very nice considering their company is not close. He completed the job that day. I think the price was extremely reasonable considering it took almost 5 hours, including the 2 hour special, to get the materials and complete the job.

Very well. Had some initial problems with equipment and they came immediately and adjusted the lights. Very nice, responsive, punctual and professional. I will definitely use them again.

They did excellent work, and cleaned up after themselves.The only negative, was that I had to go buy the cans I wanted while they were working (good thing I wasn't working), and the place I bought them from was cheaper than what they quoted us for materials.

Gabriel and Martin are both very professional and very good at what they do. After plugging in a vacuum cleaner to a seldom used outlet in my house half the house went dark. I checked the sub panel and main panel and couldn't find anything. After my friend brought his multi meter over and discovered really scary fluctuations the current in my house I decided it was time to call a professional. Gabriel came by promptly the next morning and quickly figured out the problem saying it was serious, potentially dangerous and that he'd be able to come back the next morning and fix it. They did. Turns out there were multiple loose connections all over the house due it improperly installed electrical outlets and switches, all done ages ago by someone else. They fixed the problem and everything works perfectly. I will definitely use them again.

The service was outstanding from my initial contact with the owner Gabriel to the work completed by the technician Frank. I am continuing to work with this company and I can highly recommend them.

I expected that the technician would spend 2 hours actually working on the issues that I had, not spending the two hours essentially giving me a quote for additional time needed to complete the work. Power Up was initially responsive and professional, however, they lacked the supplies and materials to complete any of the work that needed to be done during the two hours that I had paid for. THe only project that was completed was fixing the corroded light socket in a fixture in our master closet. All other problems were diagnosed but not fixed. Very disappointed in the so-called "deal" as I will need to find another electrician or handyman to give me an estimate and then complete the work. Perhaps in a more traditional set-up...they would be more prepared and capable of completing a job when they are able to give a FREE estimate on their own time.

They did a very good job and they were very neat with their work. The only complaint I have is that it did cost quite more than what we were expecting.

This was an outstanding experience. The electrician quickly fixed some routine items in the house and then spent considerable time on an exterior lighting problem that I had. He made excellent recommendations after diagnosing this problem, spent considerable time on solving it. I started to sweat that they were spending too much time on the problem and that I was going to get jacked on the rate. Instead, they told me that they had underestimated part of the job and that I would not be charged for the overages. Unbelievable service, honest, and diligent workers. Need an electrical problem fixed? Stop and hire these guys.

He was somewhat slow, but communicated well and was very personable. The outcome was fine and I would gladly use them again. He took longer than the initially planned time, but I had added a couple of other items, and he didn't charge me for the extra time related to his slow pace.

I have had problems with power surges, and decided to get this angies list coupon. They came and took out the electrical panel and added the surge protector to the panel. Green light came on and stayed on. They told me if the light goes out that means the protector took the electrical damage instead of my appliances and it is not good afterwards. So far so good.

I called to verbally get a quote and Gabriel told me the price for the work to be done. The price was good and they did work for me about a year ago that was exceptional so I wanted it done as soon as possible. Gabriel said he could do it a week later but he called me back and said he can do it in a couple of days on a Monday. With all the heat we've been receiving lately, I'm sure they were busy so this was a pleasant surprise for me. Martin and his partner came out promptly as promised in the morning and started doing the work. This was gonna be an approximate 3-hr job and Martin, right before the 3rd hour came, got me and said we're done. I went up and inspected the work and it was perfect. I had a code violation that was an open junction box which Martin also fixed. Martin and his partner covered all my floors and thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. They were extremely professional and pleasant through out.It's hard to find good, trustworthy professional trades these days but I found one in Power-Up Electric. I would recommend this company anytime.I have lots more work coming up and I will be calling them.

They were awesome. Showed up on time did the job as asked. Were clean and couldn't have been nicer.

We contacted Power Up Electric Inc because we purchased a Big Deal through Angie's List. They were very responsive and set up a convenient time to give us an estimate and complete the work. The estimate was fair and we liked the quality and speed so much that we asked them to do additional work. Instead of just giving us an underground electrical extension from our garage to our pond equipment, they also added a couple of switch boxes and an outlet for a ceiling light/fan under our patio roof . . . and they fixed some incomplete work done by another electrician on some new outlets. They also discussed options for some other work we hope to do in the future. The team was quick, neat professional, and friendly. When we're ready to do more work, we will definitely call Power Up Electric again.

the job required drilling into the wall and wiring under the house in the crawl space.frank explained exactly what job required and explained the scope of work to me in detail before he started so i knew exactly what he was going to do.it was a little bit of a messy job with the drilling and having to go under the house.frank meticulously cleaned up and except for a small spackled hole at the base board there was no anyone had been in teh house beside the new bedside switch.

We have used Power Up Electrical previously and were so pleased that we had them back to do more extensive work. The work was performed by Frank and Vladimir. They are the ultimate team of professionals - we couldn't have been happier with their work. They arrived on time, were patient, thorough, honest and dependable. Pleasing the customer is very important to them. They installed 4 new recessed lights in the kitchen with a dimmer switch - they made sure I was happy with the location placement before installation. Unlike the previous reviewer, I LOVE having the dimmer switch on the lights - in the evening we leave the kitchen lights on low and the kitchen looks so cozy and inviting for the rest of the night. They also replaced a pendant in the kitchen with a new fixture, and added 2 new GFCI receptacles. To separate out all the wiring for dedicated circuits, they had to crawl under the house and did it without complaint and even joked that it was an adventure. They carefully checked each existing receptacle and uncovered some potentially dangerous wiring. We will definitely continue to use this company for future electrical needs.

Gabriel arrived to our appointment early. He asked what I wanted to have done to the house, and I told him that I wanted LED recessed lighting. He said that he "does not recommend putting in LED lights" because " I will not like them." I told him that I want LED lights because of the energy efficiency. He said that I could "put in the incandescent lights with a dimmer." Then I told him: "Why would I put in lights and keep them on low? The whole point of putting in lights is because I want more light." He then responded with: "Every time I tell this to customer, I am always on the loosing side of the discussion. We're not the kind of company that will give the customer what they want. I make my recommendation, and the customer can take it or leave it. I don't want them to come back and say 'you told me to put these in.'" Is that not what contracts are for? I did not invite this company to come into my home to tell me what I want in my house. Then he told me that LEDs don't last as long as the manufacturers claim, I asked him how he could know that, since LED technology is relatively new, he said "he subscribes to professional publications," and "we have information that other people do not." Then he told me that LED lights will be inconsistent. That if I put in 6 lights in one room, all 6 lights will be a different shade because of the batches. Then I told him that the same thing happens with paint and fabric, and to remedy that, I just have to make sure the batch number or the dye lot is the same. I asked, "couldn't the same be done for lights?" He said "no," lights are different.

The company provided a very fast appointment (the day after I called.) The electrician arrived promptly at the arranged time. While the job was a simple one, it was completed quickly and professionally, with no visible change/damage to the area around the outlet.

I called at 7pm Monday night... they said they would send someone out tomorrow, they would call in am to confirm time, they called as they said... they arrived on time.... could not have been better!!!! they were PROFESSIONAL, PLEASANT, CLEANED UP.... The BEST home repair experience I have ever had...... (I have had many!!!!) Will recommend to my friends!!!!

It was an A+ job from beginnng to end. If all trades had this type of professionalism, ability and followup, you wouldn't need an Angie's list. He also permitted me to follow along and explained everything in detail to me. This was money well spent. I'm happy to recommend Power Up to everyone.

The electrician Frank was very punctual and professional. He handed me his business card when we first met and put on booties over his work boots when entering my house each time. He listened to what I wanted to have done and provided suggestions for placement of the over-ride switch for the attic fan. He provided me an initial price quote before he started. He and his assistance took about 3 hours to complete the job. They were professional and courteous. At the end, Frank thoroughly cleaned up the area. He presented me a fully itemized bill that was inline with what he quoted me.

Everything was fine. He was nice. It was a specials, it was $99 for 2 hours. I was really satisfied with the work.

My usual electrician was not available and I needed an out run and a light run and hung. Their price was likely fair, but I'm used to paying about half as much and getting the same service. So I don't want to be too terribly h****** their price because it was likely in line w/ industry standard. They drove up in a nice truck and did a professional job and I've had no issues or call backs w/ the work they performed.

Gabriel Chan was so awesome! He's professional, friendly and honest. He took down our old ceiling fan and put up a new one. We had another that wasn't working and asked him to look at it. He not only fixed it (it was the remote). He removed a broken bulb base that was broken and stuck in one of the sockets. When he turned it on, the old wires were smoking and he replaced them for us. That's the reason we didn't want to do it ourselves - we have old wiring and we wanted things done right and if there were problems, they could take care of them. He was done in less than the 2 hours and when I said that's all we have, he said we still had 20 minutes left on the deal, if there's anything else we need. We didn't, and didn't mind if we didn't use the full 2 hours because he was so great, and had to go through a lot with our wiring, he deserved a break before his next job. We purchased 2 deals because we were in the process of buying a new house and we are getting ready to have him come back again. I e-mailed him because the deal was about to expire, and he responded that he will honor the deal whenever we are ready for him. No matter if we have a deal or not, Gabriel is who we will call for all of our electrical needs and who we will recommend to friends.
