We used Power Up for the second time today, and for a second time were VERY happy with their services! Power Up was here the same day I called and resolved the problem immediately. They are always so professional and kind. I will keep using them for sure!

We made an appointment for that afternoon for 6:00. He did not show up and did not call.I called him the next day and he said he had gone to another appointment before mine. He thought it would take 20 minutes and it took 21/2 hours. That day he arrived on time and fixed the faulty wiring creating the problem. He was very nice and did the work promptly. I would hire him again.

Removed old lighted ceiling fans and installed new ones with lights. They were prompt, courteous and professional ..Completed job in about a little over an hour.. very pleased. will call them again..

They were prompt and helpful and if there was a B+ I'd give that. The only reason they're not an A is because our issue was not resolved not could it be without opening walls and we chose not to go that route. But we'd call and use them again for electrical repair.

Messaged for service quote, and Gabriel responded. Looking to hire an electrician to replace all our mismatched outlets and switches (that we will be providing). There was initially no estimate on the response, other than the company offering $109 for Two Hours of Electrical Labor. Also, that extra time will be charge of $75 per hour. We would have appreciated a response that included an approximate hour required to do the work. Even given the range of hours needed, ie. 2-3 or 3-4 hours would have been appropriate -- REVIEW UPDATE 9/25/13 I admire this provider's professionalism in messaging me privately and promptly to clear all confusion. I always find it rude when the company rebuts the review, prior to clearing it privately with the customer. We were INCORRECT, and did receive a response the FOLLOWING day. Gabriel was sincere and professional, and explained why he was promoting the special on labor. He also did offer an additional hour of labor for free, and really seemed concerned with customer satisfaction. Will be contacting the company once moved in, to follow up on possibly working with Gabriel

Contacted the contractor and sent him pictures of the project. He said that it required more that the 2 hour coupon big deal offer. He gave me an estimate of what the hours would be required and the hourly rate, which really exceeded my planned budget. So I will be looking for a couple of more contractors to give me a competitive bids.

The company had installed a motion sensor light a little over a year ago. It began to stay on permanently about 10 days prior to my calling the company to check it. Gabriel came out and installed a new unit, and honored the warranty even though it had been over a year. He charged me only for the price of the new unit. He was extremely polite and professional.

I have used them a couple of times and they have been awesome. I always end up with the same guy named Sam who always goes above and beyond to get the job done. They are just always stellar and very friendly. It is a family run business and I would not use anyone else.

They were good. Overall, it was good. It took a little longer than I anticipated but it was fine. The lights are fine and excellent. He made them leveled. They are kind of far lighting so they had to be measured and leveled so it would be center. So it wasn't like an easy thing. He was very thorough but he just took a long time to do it.

Power Up is a very honest, prompt and professional company. Gabriel the owner is easy to get in contact with and he stays in touch with changes with time etc…Franklin was my technician and he was very honest and knowledgeable, he gave me options for the problem then fixed it right away. Frank and Vladimir arrived exactly on time. I showed them what I wanted to have done. They started on the trivial tasks and finished them quickly. I showed him where I wanted to remove a GFCI outlet and install a vanity light instead. He showed me how he could install the GFCI outlet at a different place so that I would have both. This is not a trivial task in my house because the walls are solid brick, inside and out so he had to sink some conduit into the wall and then tuck the rest of it neatly into a corner. But he did a neat job of it. Then I started mentioning some other dream jobs that I couldn't figure out how to do but thought he might be able to do because he seems competent and imaginative. I scheduled him to come back another day to finish those jobs. I used an Angie's List coupon on this project so the price would have been about $100 more if I didn't have the coupon. I thought the price was reasonable for the work performed.

It was excellent and I'll use them again.

The owner did not provide a written estimate for pulling electrical power into our backyard garden. When approached again for the final estimate, it was higher. We decided to look for another electrician.

Everything went well. They were very professional, worked very hard for the entire time, and it was evident that they really wanted to help. The only issue was that it took them a while to respond to my call during the scheduling process. The company claimed that it was having trouble using the Angie's List system.

The price was reasonable. The quality was pretty good. The owner e-mails you and is easy to get a hold of. They are definitely responsive.

They were great! First, we should say that we purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for 2 hours of work at 99$. It expired and they were nice enough to honor it anyway. They were professional, quick and clean and did just what we asked. There was a possibility that we may need to pay a bit more for the work they did but in the end they were able to complete it without any extra charges. I appreciated that they told us p front that there might be some extra charges and that in the end, there was not and they were honest about it. Highly recommend!

used an angie's deal, so price was very reasonable. two bathrooms - one went fine. master bathroom fan had some issue where the hole they cut didn't fit the fan (or something like that) such that there was some damage done to the ceiling plaster and paint. not glaringly noticeable, but not great either. they offered to fix it or re-do it, but the hassle of setting up another appointment, having someone be there, and keeping children away from the area was too great and we never got around to having them back in to fix it.

I first called Gabriel on a Sunday morning and was amazed to find that he could be there within 1.5 hours and that is when he got to our house. Fortunately, we were able to get the power back on in the meantime - but he provided us with a quote for a new panel, along with very patient explanations and answers to my questions. Over the next week I got the Edison meter inspection that we needed, provided a downpayment and Gabriel got the permit, set the date for the following week. He and his crew arrived promptly for the day of the work. He and his crew were all very professional and proceeded quickly. As with many older houses, the work did involve some workarounds to meet the city requirements, and the cost did go up some. We were still pleased with the work and happy to have the new panel. The guys cleaned up nicely when they were done. Nice to know that I have a good electrician to call for any future needs.

Martin and Jose were very easy to work with. They explained the problems clearly and fixed everything in a timely and professional manner.

Very well. Installed all fixtures as directed and caught some old wiring and made some cost effective recommendations.

Martin and his assistant were great. This is my second time using Power Up Electric. The fixtures that were installed for me were not easy. They were european fixtures bought here so the wiring is different which makes it more difficult to install which I was not aware of. He was able to make the wiring work and I have not had any problems with the new lighting. They were on time as before and I look forward in using them again.
