They were punctual, described what was wrong with my panel and gave me all the options on how to solve the problem. Once I decided the plan of action they took care of it all. They pulled the city permits; setup the inspections and completed the job perfectly. During the project they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day; they were extremely professional they even wore shoe covers when they came inside the house to test and inspect the outlets and switches. I think their price is fair; it is not the cheapest but the quality of their work is excellent; I think what I paid is well worth it. I would definitely hire them again and would highly recommend them to family and friends. Thank you

Power Up Electric has been great to work with - for this most recent service as well as the three previous times they came out to help us. They showed up on time, replaced two of our outlets that were giving us some trouble, and also gave us some tips for how to prevent other electrical issues in the future. We'll definitely use them the next time we need any electrical work done on our home.

It worked out very well. He did a nice job and we were very pleased. We would probably consider him again for future work. He's reasonable. There was one problem when Peggy came back home from work and spotted it; I called and left a message. He was back out the next day and corrected it. We did another couple of outlets done.

On 11/20/13, Power Up Electric, Inc. visited our house to give us a quote to replace two electrical boxes (indoor and outdoor). Gabriel Chan was punctual, gave a great presentation, was very professional and his estimate was competitive.

The problem that I was having has stopped... They continued to try to wait for it to act up again. He said it might be due to old bulbs. They were very nice gentlemen, they were just not able to hear the issue in order to fix it. Also they were not able to fix or look at my electronic skylight because they did not handle those repairs.

Gabriel determined that the power company has the responsibility to fix the problem and suggested we placed a service call, which we did. The power company sent their crew to correct the problem and reimbursed us for the cost we incurred for Gabriel's services. We are grateful to Gabriel for responding to our call despite the travel (his office was 21 miles away). He sensed the urgency and decided to go the exra miles. Overall, Gabriel is very well versed in his trade.

We had scheduled an appointment between 9 and 10am. Techician showed up at 9:50 so within the appointment. A call letting me know might been nice. I was ready to leave figuring he was going to be a no show. He went to work right away and was quick and professional. Changed out the outlets as requested. Installed an outlet box in the garage pulling wire from the box. Also rewired a switch inside the living room to correspond with the desired outlet. Installed a patio lamp and even used some silicone sealant (which I supplied) upon my request. Everything works as advertised with 10 minutes to spare. No complaints or issues.

I was extremely satisfied with Gabriel. He was responsive via e-mail and was able to give me an estimate for sub-panel replacement based on pictures I sent. He was also able to schedule an appointment with me via e-mail to take a look in person. He arrived on time and was very straightforward and knowledgeable about my condition. He advised that installing a dryer outlet would be too costly in my situation, since my meter and main breaker was outside in an utility closet but my sub-panel was inside upstairs (I live in a townhouse). He also advised that if I was using both the dryer and AC at the same time, I could possibly trip the main breaker since it was very low amperage. I then showed him my sub-panel, which I had concerns with because my home inspector had said the brand might be defective and be a fire hazard. He inspected the breakers and panel, and was very knowledgeable about the history of the brand, and also pointed out details about my particular panel that I never noticed. He concluded that while the panel could be in better condition, he personally did not feel it was problematic, and that it should be fine as is. Overall I was very impressed with Gabriel, and appreciate the time he took to drive out to my home and spend 30 minutes patiently explaining everything, even though he did not do any work for me. He saved me money by advising against performing unnecessary jobs, which could not be said for some other vendors I contacted. If you have electrical issues, I highly recommend you give Gabriel a call or e-mail and have him assess your situation.

I used a special via Angie's List to book up to 2 hours of electrical labor. Gabriel Chan sent his colleague Soren Barahona to examine and explain the low voltage systems in a property I manage. In the property is a "control room" into which I would estimate 50 to 70 Cat 5 cables enter. These cables are connected to digital video recorders (DVRs), security cameras, and cable TV service (which provides phone service), but most of the cables are not connected to anything except Cat 5 wall jacks in the various rooms. Soren expertly and quickly diagnosed the issues I have been having with the systems, which I inherited from the previous propertyowner. He also responded clearly to my many, many questions about how to get these systems working in the ways I want them to. To be clear, I grilled Soren, and the whole Qand A lasted an hour and a half. After the grilling, I had a much better grasp of why the systems were not working, and what I needed to have done to get them working the way they need to work. Examples: Only two security camera feeds were visible on a monitor. Soren explained why the original four feeds had dropped to two, and what I would need to have all eight feeds visible on a monitor. Soren identified the wire that delivered the cable TV (and phone) signal. Soren explained what I would need to do to have the doorbell/intercom system working with the phone signal. Soren explained that the DVRs that I thought were recording the security camera feeds were actually recording TV signals, and showed me the DVR that I hadn't seen before that was actually recording the security camera feeds.

It went well. I had a couple of things that needed to be done and they were able to get it done. There were no additional charges. They were in and out, quick, and I will use them again.

Two technicians came out for the service who were extremely professional. They did a very good job. They were efficient and stuck to their prices. They changed out a lot of wall mounted lamps; they redid the outside lights for motion sensor, fixed some problems with an interior relay switch and fixed a switch for an outdoor fountain. They did one thing incorrect which they noticed; they continued working until they finished their time included in the deal and then redid the one error at no additional cost. I was very pleased with their professional service.

Frank was very professional and helpful. Promotional deal price was nice.

They're always the most professional and responsive. He got here on time and got right to work. Fixed everything and then we had some questions about future electrical upgrades to our home, and he had terrific ideas. Not only that, our home is an older one and he had some suggestions about how to make our home safer and more energy efficient

I had called and emailed two companies from Angie’s List. Both were received respectable remarks and both serviced my area. Power Electric, Gabriel Chan (owner) was very responsive via email and by phone. Mr. Chan had a crew out at my house the next day at 8 a.m. I was truly impressed by our first encounter. His crew (Martin) was on time and they spent an hour going over what would need to be done. After a few days, I decided to hire Power Up electric to perform the job. When they arrived to start the job, Frank (with his crew) reviewed what was going to be performed and how they were going to tackle each job. Prior to even starting on the job, the crew carefully move furniture out of the way and used plastic tarp to protect the entertainment unit, dining room table and furniture. Drop mats were even used to protect my hardwood floors. Every step of the way, I was notified of the progress and what they have done. Frank was extremely friendly and made sure that I had no question unanswered. Having a general working knowledge of electricity, when Frank pointed something out that was not to code and was done improperly by the previous home owner, and his emphasis was to ensure electrical connections were done correctly to prevent a fire, I realized that Power Up electric not only wanted to do the job but Frank was bringing to my attention immediate concerns to ensure my homes safety. To this end, the crew removed the electrical wiring out of the air ducting, rerouted the electrical wires, and properly housed the wires in the appropriate j-box. As for being clean, each time at the end of the day they cleaned up and it looked like they were never in the house. After two days on the job, on the second day, I had to leave the crew for a few hours. Never once did I feel that I was letting in strangers into my house. My wife had the opportunity to meet Frank and his crew. She was conferrable knowing that he was in the house. I know that my wife and I will be redoing our kitchen. When that time comes, Power Up electric will be the first company I will call. I will also be calling them soon to add an additional outlet in my pantry and adding a 220 and a few 110 outlets in the garage. I definitely would recommend this company to others!

Angie's List saves the day again. My husband and I were sitting down to watch TV one night when all of a sudden every light fixture and appliance in the room started spontaneously running full blast and then blacking out, over and over again until we turned off the breaker. Smoke was drifting up from behind the TV and we were terrified. I called Power Up the next morning and they were able to schedule a service call for 8 a.m. the next day. Martin and his associate showed up on time and were unfailingly polite, professional and tidy. Martin explained the problem in a way I could understand, even emailing me a photo of the miswiring issue in our fixture. He also gave me suggestions to avoid overloading our outlets, which I really appreciated. Lastly, he plugged our appliances back in to check which ones were still working. Luckily, it was just our stereo receiver that was cooked and Martin recommended that we look into having it repaired, since it was probably just a burned out fuse. The helpful extra advice and thorough explanations put Martin in a higher category than most service providers and I would be very happy to work with him again.

Very responsive and courteous. Promptly called back and followed up with confirmation of address the night before. Showed up early but that was great! Job took longer than anticipated due to unforseen issues with duct clearance. But they had a solution and explained every step. They seemed very knowledgable and thorough. They were super friendly, the finished project looks and works great and they left without a trace.

He didn't do any work or charge me, but he gave me valuable advice regarding building codes that involved using gas not electric. I chose that approach and ended up with a good solution. The third contact occurred at the date listed above and involved problems with the electrical cabinet at the back of one of the apartment buildings that I manage. They quickly solved that and it hasn't reoccurred. In all these situations, I was pleased with promptness, price and the outcomes. I wouldn't hesitate to use Power Up Electrical again.

The two technicians were very courteous they had given me 3 options on how to go about fixing the problem. The price they quoted me was firm so no surprises later on. It took them a day and a half to complete the job and always showed up on time. . The Technician always kept me informed on what he was going to do whether it was inside my house or in the garage and when they were done they cleaned up after themselves.
