I liked them alot very professional.

I have a 67 year old house and wanted to have a garage door opener installed. I have been told by several others that I needed a sub-panel installed in the garage to get the power needed, which, of course, is more money....the estimates only went up from there. At this point I was devastated!! Well, I didn't want to throw in the towel, yet, so I read the reviews given for Power Up and desperately hoped that they were accurate. Well, what a pleasant surprise!! I had the pleasure of meeting Frank within hours of the initial call. He reviewed my situation and stated that a sub panel was not needed and that he would be able to not only get the power needed in the garage, but could also install additional lights, as well as rewire the dated wiring!! All for much less than the quoted sub panel estimate and no lights!! I will definitely use Power Up again. Frank and Gabriel are the best...Frank was punctual, very honest, and professional!! Thank you Power Up!!...especially, Frank!

Scheduling was good. They completed the job in about two hours. There were additional costs, but they did let me know up front. Everything turned out well.

I purchased 2 hours of service through Angie's list. Frank and his assistant came out at the appointed time and fixed a few things that were not working. I very much enjoyed Frank's patient demeanor and his willingness to do whatever I needed. I asked him for an estimate for some more work and looking very much forward to working with them again.

Martin Chan came out to our house on two different occasions. We had a lot of electrical issues caused by SCE's power surges earlier in the week. First, he went throughout the house and inspected our power which included all of the outlets as well as the fuse box. Because we were returning customers, he gave us a reduced rate. Martin not only restored all of the power and assured us that all lines inside of our house were safe, but he also went through to confirm and then diagnose the problem when one power source did not kick in with the others. Later that day, I realized that the one thing we did not check before he left was the power that had not been restored to our alarm system. After numerous calls to our alarm company, it took only one call to Power-Up who responded right away, returned, and located the problem. Our transformer had burned out from the earlier power surge. After offering to wait until I contacted the alarm company's service department, Martin offered to buy a new transformer for us. Unfortunately, because ours is old, he was unable to find a replacement. All of this extra work went above and beyond and was done with a positive attitude and at no extra charge. Martin could not have been nicer or more professional. We have a major electrical job coming up and as soon as we're able, we are definitely calling back Power-Up Electric. And I highly recommend that you too, contact them for any electrical issue you may have.

Mr. Gabriel Chan came when he said ,greeted me , walked in the house and immediately could smell that my power protection devices were burnt out, but thankfully all three did there job and protected my TV's and computer lap top.Mr.Chan suggested about installing a whole house surge protector on to my electric panel which I totally agreed to and he also said to replace the individual power serge protectors as soon as possible for even more protection for the future.I was very nervous,since I never experienced this situation,but thanks to Mr. Gabriel Chan's calming and professional manner as He got all my Electronics working perfectly, I was elated and so happy and you can't put a price on that feeling.

The service done was very thorough. I will definitely use the company for future electrical problem. Price is a little bit on the high side, but you get what you pay for. Very professional and honest.

First a kitchen circuit was dead but the circuit breaker wasn't tripped. Investigating, I found that another different but nearby circuit carried a current that enflamed my DVD player. Oh oh, time for an expert. Checking Angie's List reviews, especially the histogram, Power Up appeared to be far and away the best, so I called them late in the afternoon. I soon found that they deserved their excellent reviews. The owner Gabriel was at my house in less than an hour after I called. He worked for two hours and determined that there was somewhere a break in a wire common to the two circuits. The next morning Gabriel arrived and explained what he had seen and delegated the task of finding the break to a two man crew led by Frank. Gabriel then left. Both Gabriel and Frank at all times worked diligently, professionally, cordially, and effectively. The broken wire was located at a little or never used receptacle, singed by heat perhaps generated by the recent addition of an electric car to circuits not ready for it. I'm lucky I didn't have a house fire. Not only was all the necessary work done, Frank also fixed several other nagging problems along the way (a buzzing transformer above the ceiling, an outdoor light that no longer worked, etc., etc.). I can't recommend Power Up more heartily. Honest, friendly, timely, and capable.

Called for an appt yesterday was scheduled for today 10/8 at 8am. Martin and team showed up on time. Diagnosed the problem immediately. Not only did they fix the wiring in the kitchen, they found an old outlet in my ceiling that they were able to wire for another light in the kitchen! Martin also quickly fixed lights in my office and spare bedroom that haven't worked in months. I am so pleased with everything we are considering re-wiring the entire house. They cleaned up even though I offered and I was told no we do that. Very professional and honest. Thank you so much Power Up

I've used Power Up Electrical twice now and both times I was impressed with their knowledge, professionalism and I thought the pricing was very reasonable. I understand it's a family owned business and they take pride in what they do. I got some great advice about where to place some outdoor lighting that solved an aesthetic problem as well as an electrical one. I would definitely call this company again and I would give them my highest recommendation.

It went well. He was very nice, very quick and in less than two hours he was asking me if I wanted anything else that he felt that I didn't use up the two hours. They were great.

About a year ago I used them to install a 220 Electric Outlet for the Stove at my studio - that went OK- About 2 weeks ago I called them to get an estimate on another property renovation I'm working on. He came and spent about an hour at the jobsite, chatted, looked at things - I never received an estimate - a return call, or anything. I think he has gotten too big for his own britches. The entire time he was at my property he kept taking calls from other Angie's List members. Not Cool! And then to just blow me off - Unacceptable! Avoid this provider and find another company!

These guys -- Jose, Marco, and Mike -- were amazing! They arrived bright and early as promised and quickly set to work installing two ceiling fans. They divided the tasks smartly among themselves to make the work faster for them and less of an inconvenience for me. And when it turned out that one of the ceiling fans was not going to work out, they actually waited about an hour for me to run to my nearest Home Depot to get a suitable replacement. This was above and beyond what they were called on to do. As a superbusy father of three, I really appreciate the extra effort that makes my family's and my life a little better. And the ceiling fans look great and work just fine.

It went well both times I worked with Power Up. They encountered some issues that upped the cost, but I had been warned that the quote was "best case scenario," so I wasn't surprised. It's nice that they take credit cards. I'd recommend them and their work.

Great! The electricians were professional, did excellent work, and let the workspace neat and clean.

They emailed right away letting me know out of service area. I have used them in the past.

We had the transformer connected to our security system burn out and scorch itself and the wall. It was a Sunday night, so I messaged Power Up Electric through Angie's List. I included my worry about this being a fire hazard. I also called a little after 6 AM. The owner and an assistant-journeyman came this morning. They discovered that one of the wires in the outlet was not grounded!!! This is why the breaker switch in the fuse box had not worked. This really could have caused a bad fire! PUE checked the wires very carefully and repaired their connection to grounding. They replaced the plug box and plate. I am very happy with their professionalism, carefulness and detailed explanations to me. The first time customer discount made the cost more than reasonable. We will use them again.

Gabriel and his team were professional, extremely knowledgable and friendly. They were punctual, took care to protect my home while working and explained everything to me without trying to oversell. I was very pleased and will definitely use them again should I require an electrician. I will recommend to anybody.

Provider went out on Aug 12, 2014 to give me an estimate and has not given me one as of Aug 25, 2014. When I tried following up on Sunday Aug 17, 2014 his response was "I,m working on it!". I would have been completely happy with a brief explanation, such as, this is a major project and I want to be as accurate as possible with my estimate. Should have an estimate to you within 10 to 14 working days. Obviously this was a misunderstanding. I'm currently considering this estimate and 2 others. Any rating at this time would not be fair or accurate.

I highly recommend this provider for all your electrical needs. Gabriel is very professional and a pleasure to deal with over email. for the latest service appointment, he was able to fit me in on short notice for a small job. His guys, Martin and Miguel, were professional and did a great job. They were in and out in a hour. The first time I used Power Up Electric was when I installed 3 pendant lights above the kitchen island. That was a great experience as well. I would not hesitate to use Power UP in the future and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable, professional electrician.

Two electricians came to our house at 8am, ready to work. We had a list of minor electrical issues we needed addressing such as non-working lights, broken switches and fixtures and removal of old wiring in the attic. The electricians tackled our long list and got everything done so fast that we had them start bigger projects such as hanging a light fixture which involved rewiring and installing motion sensor security lights. This last two projects were more time consuming so we ended up adding another hour to our purchased time. The electricians were professional, honest, and very friendly. In making the appointment, Gabriel was quick to get back to me and set something up asap. We would definitely work with this company again.

Frank and Vlad arrived promptly and were so nice to work with. They identified the problems quickly, and provided solutions that were thoughtful and practical. Our house is more than 75 years old, and they encountered multiple issues with previous electrical work that they needed to remedy. When it became clear that they would have to work beyond the 4-hour coupon to get the job done, they let me know right away so that we could talk it over. I'm really pleased with the work they did and with how communicative they and Gabriel were, and will definitely use them again!

Went great. I spoke with owner Gabriel on the phone and set up an appointment for a few days from the call. We confirmed the details by email, and Gabriel was (throughout) timely with responses. The workers (Jose and Marco) showed on time, were professional and friendly, did what they said they'd do in a timely manner, used blankets to protect floor and furniture surfaces, presented me with options as they went, cleaned up after, and did a fantastic job at a good pace. Gabriel was there at several points in the day, oversaw he progress, and gave me a very reasonable rate. He even said I didn't need the (expensive, major) service upgrade but rather a more minor adjustment to my breaker box. He could have talked me into expensive and unnecessary work but didn't. Honest, punctual, easy to communicate with, fair, and competent. I will use these guys again.

One of the smoke detectors in our house started chirping on Friday afternoon and could not be silenced by either a new battery or using the reset. I called Gabriel at 4:30 in the afternoon and asked if there was anything he could do, even though it was late in the day. He was across town and couldn't come that evening, but came over the next morning and repaired the extremely irritating smoke detector. He also replaced a kitchen outlet that had gone dead. In the past we've used Power Up for routine problems, also involving smoke detectors, and we were very satisfied with the the work and the patience involved in locating and fixing the problem. We will definitely use Power Up again.

Gabriel is the man. After getting another estimate from a guy who barely looked at the situation, Gabriel came in and did a thorough look around. He helped us figure out exactly what we needed. We needed to upgrade our service, run new ground, and rewire the whole house. He didn't pressure us to do the whole job and just handled the new service and ground. He walked us through the whole process, was very patient, and very helpful. The job was done quickly and without hassle.
