OSCAR MELENDEZ TILE SERVICE

He was great, called you back, showed up when he was supposed to and performed the job without messing around.

Bathroom floors aren't supposed to go squish. We found water damage to our floor in the bathroom (caused by a leaking toilet, which Oscar found). He was able to come out quickly and get started. The job took three days. He was easy to work with, friendly, and helped us pick out the tile (particularly advice on what was suitable for bathroom floors).

He was good. He was on time and professional. I have no complaints.

They were prompt, quick, trustworthy, attentive, and did a good job.

Nice enough guy, but horrible tile setter. I had to have him redo several sections 4 or more times until he got it close enough for me to give up. For what he charged I should not have had to settle. He is unable to make proper miter cuts. I had to have the tile store cut the tile for him. He's sloppy and made a huge mess in my house. His grout work is almost as bad as his tile setting. When he realized I wasn't going to accept his normal level of work. He wanted to quit the project. Very unprofessional to say the least. I should have let him go. He's an amateur. I'm giving him a D even though the work, in the end, was acceptable. But only because I watched over him the entire time and forced him to redo sections over and over again. If I hadn't, I would have had to have given him an F.

I called Oscar for an estimate based on the reports on Angie's List. Oscar said he had an appointment in Glendale and would come to my house after he was finished. Oscar told me he would call me when he was on his way. Oscar never called me and did not show up for the estimate.

Although the work he did was satisfactory, I did not come away with a good feeling about dealing with him. He was rushing so, that he rushed me. His attitude was a little funky also. He quoted me one price, then changed the price the day before we were going to begin the work. He kept asking me for money before the job was finished.

I found his work to be superb. His price was excellent. He was punctual and answered all my questions. I will be hiring him again for more work.

Oscar was on time, polite, patient when I didn't understand, and reasonably priced. He returned without delay to regrout as necessary as the grout dried and shrank.

He was pleasant, probably charged a bit too much. After he left, I noticed a spot that could have been better applied. I am considering having him back to patch some tile after I have plumbing work done. I will ask him to recaulk this one area at that time.

THE COMPANY DID A GREAT JOB. THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED AND FINISHED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. THEY KEPT THE WORK AREA NEAT EACH DAY AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY PROVIDE QUALITY WORK.
