Wonderful .....The work was done as l as with no problem.

We had used them once before and everything went well, We had them out to give an estimate on some additional work. Having them come and give an estimate cost $85 but would be counted against the fee for the work if you hired them. We got and estimate, which I thought was a bit high but since we liked their work last time I signed the contract. They called us back once to see when we were ready for the work we said we were ready but then I never heard back from them. When I called a week later they said they were waiting for parts. The never called back. I left voice and email messages but never heard again. Its now been 10 weeks and I have not heard from them and they just ignore my messages. Looks like I'm just out the $85 and the time invested with them.

Dan was very professional and great at his job. Definitely would use Mr. Handyman and request Dan.

It went well. Initially, one issue was a leaky shower fixture and it started leaking again after a couple of months of the repair guy coming out to fix. However, I gave them a call and they sent someone out right away to reconcile the problem without charge or delay.

Went very well. This is a simple job but beyond my capabilities.

It started out a bit wobbly as communications and appointment times got screwed up and getting answers for rescheduling took a lot of calls. However, once Mr. Handyman's service tech (James Gottleber) arrived it was nothing short of sensational service. Mr. Gottleber was totally professional, friendly, efficient, thorough and courteous. He was obviously proficient and knowledgeable. Couldn't be more pleased or willing to recommend Mr. Gottleber/Mr. Handyman.

We've used them in the past and we will use them in the future. We found them through Angie's List and they were very well-reviewed. They were very nice, cooperative people. They came out when they said they were going to. They got the job done much more quickly than I would have thought possible. Their prices were fair. We just really liked them a lot. They did a very good job. We were very impressed with them. I would definitely use them in the future.

When I called to schedule the appt., Bridget was very helpful and was able to send over someone the same day, which was fantastic and much appreciated. The Handyman arrived on time and assessed the work. Keep in mind-- Mr. Handyman isn't cheap at $289 for two hours and then around $60 for each additional hour, but my feeling was if the service was good, it was worth it. The Handyman returned from the hardware store with materials, but said he wasn't able to find the right kind of valve at the hardware store closest to me and suggested that it would take him a while to find that kind of valve. I appreciate that he was conscious of time and my $, so I offered to go pick up the valve myself. I asked him to specify the exact kind of valve so I could locate at a hardware store nearby. He gave me the info and I found the part at a nearby Loews. I then showed him the part on the computer I had found and he said, "That's it." I made the trip to Loews and took a pic of the part at the store to confirm it was the right one... he then notified me that the connection couldn't be copper sweat or pex, etc etc and suddenly, things got more complicated and confusing. So, I ended up buying about 8 different valves hoping one of them was correct. When I returned home, he found only one valve from my purchases that would work. When he went to remove the old valve, he told me that if the pipes were copper, he could break my pipe trying to unscrew the old valve. He asked me to sign a waiver so that if pipe broke, Mr. Handyman wouldn't be responsible. But... he could have told me this before spending an hour and a half going to Loews for a part. I did not sign the waiver and told him not to change the valve. I also asked not to be billed for the time I spent looking for the part... he called Mark, the owner. Mark was extremely understanding and told me that he would only charge for the hours where work was completed which I thought was fair. (BTW, I had to have a plumber come over that night who informed me that the handyman would have broken the pipe because the valve had been soddered. The correct procedure was to open a small piece of drywall to confirm how the valve was connected. In addition, the male female orientation he asked me to get was wrong... it was the other way around from what he sent me to Loews to get, so in retrospect, it was just bad information all the way around). So, when it comes time to sign the invoice (which included, $100 for materials), I asked the Handyman if I could see the itemized list of materials he purchased. He said that he didn't have that info and that I'd have to call the office. Additionally, the Handyman forgot to apply my 10% coupon from Angie's List. He apologized and said someone from the office would call me the next day. Nobody called me. I finally called the office this morning and spoke with Bridget again. She was able to tell me what he bought, but not the prices associated with items. How can you ask a customer to pay for materials without providing an itemized receipt? That doesn't seem reasonable for a reputable handyman business. In addition, they never emailed me an invoice for the work and I had to ask to have that sent. Long story short, I could not recommend Mr. Handyman to others based on my experience, especially for the price.

It went extremely well. My husband had difficulty with installing washers on showers knobs in one of our showers. I made a call to Angie's List, booked a plumber and Luis came to our aid. We could not be more impressed with the level of skill, professionalism and punctuality.

Patient, quick, clean, professional, honest, hard working, and a just a nice all around guy. Job went to plan and I will be calling Mr Handyman and personally requesting Michael H again. Thanks guys!

Unfortunately, they were not able to deliver the excellent customer service that they promised. I scheduled a time for one of their handymen to come give us an estimate. The gentlemen who came to my home was kind, clean and arrived just on time. I asked for and was promised an itemized estimate within 24 hours. I paid $80 for this visit. One week from the time of his visit I called Mr Handyman because I still had not received my estimate. They sent me a very general estimate with NO itemization. I called to ask for the itemized invoice. The gentleman on the phone promised to provide it right away. One week later I still had not received it. My husband emailed Mr Handyman and asked that they refund our $80 estimate fee. They responded right away and let me know that they would refund the $$ and still provide me with the estimate. We waited yet another week and still did not receive the refund or the estimate. I called one last time to ask for both items. They promised to call me back within 24 hours to completely resolve the issue. No surprise here, I haven't received the phone call. I have put in a dispute with my credit card company to get my money back. If you are in need of a handyman, KEEP LOOKING!

The passage of the house was too narrow and they found an ingenious way to remove it. They cleaned up after the work was done. They charged me $400 less than other quotes I had received. They were courteous, helpful, and I appreciated having them out at my house.

I do feel it was a bit pricey; however it was helpful and worth the money. He was very nice and professional which made a pleasure experience. I would definitely recommend his services to others although his prices are a bit higher he provides good work.

He appeared on time but his services were a scam. They should change their name to handy scam. the handyman represented it would take 3-4 hours and gave me an estimate. If it did not take 4 hrs. it would be cheaper. He also said he would stain the gate to match the existing. I showed him where the existing stain was, opened the can and said the amount in the can would be enough. So he left to get materials and returned 1 hr. later. 1.5 hours later he said he was done. I looked at the job and it was average. So he demanded payment. I refused to pay him because the job was not done, he still had to stain it. He demanded the amount of $614. He said I agreed to it and it did not matter how long it took. He does not paint and if I wanted it stain I would have to call the office, but an additional charge. the company charges an hourly rate of $125 PER HOUR for labor. . He demaned $614. I told him that I would write a scathing review on Angie's list and he said if I used Angie's List he would give me a discount so he dropped the price to $574. He refused to show receipts for the $114 in materials. He did not finish the job and 'held me up' until I paid him. I have average work and an unstained paint. I was charged $184 PER HOUR. Since I am in a wheelchair he thought he was justified in robbing the disabled. I WILL NOT USE ANGIE'S LIST AGAIN.

Perfect, I paid for 4 hours and it took 4 hours to complete. Mr. Handyman did an outstanding job!

He was on time, knowledgeable, polite and kept our house clean, extremely efficient and competent! I will use this service again and request the same guy to come out.

Mr Handyman for South Bay (phone 310-935-0722) sent a guy to my home to estimate cost of installing railings, paving yard and removing garbage disposal. They charged me $80 for the estimate but I did not hear from them for 3 weeks. After several telephone calls over a period of 2 additional months, they only provided an estimate for one out of three items I requested. Horrible service. I strongly advise to avoid them.

I was looking to have drywall repaired, and rotting door frame fixed and some caulking around the tub redone. I submitted a detailed explanation of the projects through their website, and received an email saying that somebody would call me to discuss the job and pricing and set up an appointment. Over a month went by, and I never heard back. Considering Mr. Handyman's claims that it values service above all and justify its higher prices as a result of their office staff and great customer service, I was disappointed. Contacting them was a waste of time.
