Description of Work: Move a dryer hose connection from one side of the dry to the other. All parts are their and the job took about 40 minutes. But because of the high price quoted on the phonem, I went with a small company and will never use this handyman service again.

Description of Work: I was preparing a home for sale and needed some help with lots of little things around the house -- hanging closet and cabinet doors, fixing some door latches, adjusting some light fixtures. All of the handymen who showed up at the house were smart, responsive, courteous and -- most importantly -- they got the job done. Even when they encountered some issues on site, they were able to suggest some alternatives so we could move forward.

Description of Work: The handyman that came out to perform the services was excellent and he completed all the jobs I had in a timely and professional manner. However, I believe the cost of the services was too high and that is why I would not use these services again. I definitely liked the service, but the cost not warranted.

+ 2 moreShowed up early to make sure the guy they sent would finish in a day. The first guy that came was great. After asking if I wanted a second guy to come for the second half of the day to assist with the to-do list, another person came. Both were great; helpful and knowledgeable. In future, I would hire again, just not for two people. I think I could have had the work done with just one for a couple more hours than pay for both. Great quality of work!
Description of Work: Took out shower doors, replaced tiles, painted posts, filled in cracks in the patio, and cut and replaced all screens for crawl spaces throughout the house.

David Silverman, the owner, spoke to me the day before and helped me figure out what I needed to buy so that I could save money on materials and the worker's time to go buy them. The worker arrived on time, and was in uniform in a well-equipped truck just as they promise. He did the job perfectly and was polite and professional. The bill was calculated exactly as promised. I gave them a "B" on price because the service is not cheap, but it is an example of "you get what you pay for". It's a huge convenience to have a multi-skilled person who can be scheduled with one simple phone call. It is also nice to have the terms clearly spelled out before work starts, and to see that they do bill you exactly as promised (i.e. no hidden fees at the end).
Description of Work: He changed out the vent covers on my crawl space vents, put a critter guard a vent in the roof and installed a cabinet in the bathroom.

+ 0 moreI was very pleased. Jon arrived on time. I had a list prepared of all the things I wanted him to complete. His work was done professionally. I would recommend scheduling an early appointment (8am) as things took much longer to complete than I originally planned. I'm torn at rating the price. On one hand it was more than I expected to pay but when I look at the companies that told me I needed to replace gutters (prices ranged from $700-3,000.00, windows (1,500.00) a roof ridge ($750.00) the cost falls into place in the amount I saved by having these things fixed or verifying they did not need replacing which Jon did. So overall, if I look at it from that vantage point I have to rate them an A.
Description of Work: Cleaned out gutters and downspouts, nailed wire mesh to bottom of shed, patch hole by air conditioner, caulked top of awning. Trim outside of wall air conditioner and installed new air conditioner, reattached and caulked awning, putty and caulked kitchen window and living room window, built 1 crawl space cover, removed and reattached bathroom window sash to replace broken window (owner took to glass shop).

+ 2 moreI will be hiring them in the future to insulate and wall my garage, install driveway gate opener and many other projects on my list. They work hard, are on time, and do a great job. Plus, David (their fearless leader) guarantees all work. They are the Mercedes of Handymen and they are worth every penny.
Description of Work: The project amount covers four separate trips to my house for various projects over four months. John was great! He built a cabinet over the refrigerator, moved disposal switch, helped cable guy install recessed outlets for TV, internet and phone in four different rooms, installed extra outlet in kitchen, removed a door, installed washer and dryer, and more. Norm came out the last time and installed five outdoor electrical outlets. All are well placed and hidden. He also switched out a breaker and fixed the light in my closet.
