The gentlemen that came out was very nice and pleasant. He was professional except I had asked for a followup bid on another project and I didn't receive one so didn't follow through.

Robert came and matched the existing tile and sealed the large seam with tile so it looks just like it should have looked originally. The tile had to be cut since the seam was less than the tile size. It looks great.

They were able to schedule me quickly and give me a two-hour arrival time window with a phone call prior to arrival. Their labor rates seem very high ($169 for the 1st hr + $110 for each additional hr) although I suppose they know the market better than I do. We didn't know the part would need to be replaced before he took the window apart and I acted as an assistant which I think probably saved a bit on labor as he could move a bit faster. However, he did have to go to the local hardware store to get a new window sash balance. Fortunately they had the part in stock. He installed the balance, put the window back together and caulked so it looked like it hadn't been touched. It was lucky that the window trim was painted white already otherwise it would have needed repainting. The tech was very nice but my problem was when he presented his bill he told me the part was $72. I told him that seemed really expensive but he didn't offer to show the receipt and didn't tell me that Mr. Handyman charges a 15% markup (which is fine with me). I planned to fix another window now that I learned how to do it so I checked with the hardware store and found that the part actually only cost around $35. The tech had overcharged me for parts so I called the dispatcher to let them know I was unhappy about that and all she offered were excuses about how the tech might have had a problem with his clipboard calculator or somehow got confused. I told her I had mentioned that the part seemed too expensive and that no receipt was offered. All she offered was to review the receipt the tech turned in and refund me anything due. They did credit me back the difference (about $35) but being in business myself I would have expected a more sincere apology, no excuses and some sort of discount. Overall, however, the job was done right and I would use them again but I'd definitely keep an eye on the time and review the receipts for any parts.

Again, they were very professional. Punctual. Friendly. And even their office, Sharon, called me to see how it went the following Monday. Service was done on a Saturday. Will use them again if I do choose to replace lock, as they suggested needed.

Before coming, when we were discussing the job on the phone, Sharon the scheduler, suggested that to save money, I could purchase the supplies in advance ... and she told us what I should get. This was great because it saved us on-the-clock time when the handyman arrived. He set up a small woodworking station in our garage and did the measurements, cut the door to size, and installed it in less than 3 hours. It looks great and i was very pleased. I will definitely use them again.

My overall experience was fine. I would use them again in the future if needed.

Handyman arrive on time with an idea of what I wanted, let me show him the closet and the abandoned light switch I wanted to use for a light in the closet. He and I poked around in the attic for a route for the wiring and found none. He located the studs and figured a way to route the wired around them with only one hole, which he filled, installed the fixture, snake the wire, connected the switch, tested it and was done. And gave me the bill. Same for next fixtures and wiring in the garage

Briefly, we called, described the problem to Sharon, and she replied with an estimate that answered all our questions.But we feel the estimate is WAY too high.

I contacted Mr. Handyman of West LA, having had an excellent experience with this company 4 years ago. David listened patiently as I explained what I needed and set up an appointment for me for early the next week. He called back later to confirm the time of the appointment. Glen came on time, assessed what needed to be done, discussed the options for accomplishing the tasks at hand, and gave me a time range for completing the work. The work was completed exactly when Glen said it would and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. The 2 holes in the interior garage wall were meticulously repaired and the crawlspace vent screens and soffitt vent screen look great (had been previously repaired incorrectly with massive amounts of spray foam). Glen cleaned up all the debris, and he was friendly and professional as well. Mr. Handyman may cost a bit more than other companies, but they are worth every penny because the job is done right the 1st time.

We have used them twice. Our patio had a roof that had to be replaced. I got what I wanted, for the amount I expected to pay. On a previous occasion I had obtained an estimate.

It took me a few weeks to get them in to do the job. Once they were there they did a great job.

He did a very good job. He was cordial and neat. He was very detailed. He even gave us some advice.The service rep was great and very helpful.

They were good, thorough and professional. What was great was that it was a time sensitive matter and after weeks they came in and it was really nice. They are flexible and are willing to work with your schedule. Price wise I don't know if they are high or low. They were willing to get in there and fix it.

We got a coupon in the mail for 4 hours for $200 and we spend $200. The job went very well and we were very impressed with them. We liked that he came prepared to work and we told him that we would need white grout and caulk and he brought it with him. He had the right equipment, the right tools and he just worked very well and very hard for 4 hours.

They did a good job. They were available almost right away, which I appreciated, but they had to do it in two trips and charged me a service fee for both. There was also a fair amount of paying for time to fix damage done by the handyman. Overall, I'd say they are pretty good and convenient, but expensive.

The next day passed with no estimate, no phone call. I called the office the second day, spoke with Rebecca, who said I would definitely have an estimate by that afternoon. Still nothing. Day #3, I called Rebecca again, lost my temper. The owner, Dave, called back hours later, I spelled out my frustration at never hearing back from them. The upshot was that he declined to provide any services because he "could tell there was not going to be any way to please me". At this point, it was too late to locate another contractor to meet my deadline. Dave did refund the $59 a week later. Ihad called Mr. Handyman solely because of the rave reviews on Angie's List - I am now very skeptical of Angie and her member recommendations, it's hard to believe they were talking about the same outfit I dealt with. I don't plan to use Angie's List again, a very disappointing experience in every way

I was able to get an estimate for the work over the phone. Then we made an appointment but had to reschedule three times because of the rain. They were very professional on the phone. The gentelman who did the work was on time and explained the process in detail before he began. The work was done on time and he left the extra supplies with me because they had been included in my bill. I was informed I could have saved money if I had provided the materials which is good to know for next time. I am happy with the way the stairs look and I think the non-slip adhesive was a good investment.

Quick response on a Holiday weekend! Realized job was more than than they could handle/complete so recommended reliable Glass Company who worked as their sub contractor to complete the job. Gave me the cost estimates & stayed within those parameters with no surprise added costs. When all was done by glass company they handled the billing in a timely manner & was very easy to complete the process. Very professional, personable, upfront & helpful in every phase of the project. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again when the situation presents itself.

Work was performed within estimated time and cost. Media center was assembled well and carefully (I really appreciated that especially given my new hardwood floors). Some dust and dirt was created with shelf removal and installation and the handyman cleaned up as well. Would definitely use them again.

The first guy was 3 hours late, but they did keep me updated on his ETA. The guy had no idea what the problem was and diagnosed 'major electrical problems!' They had to call in another guy, two hours later. He spent 30 seconds looking at the panel, w.eant to the local hardware store for a new breaker and put it in. We should have called a regular electrician -- would have been cheaper and much faster.

They are very nice and did their best to get us a quote. They may be a little bit expensive. They have an hourly rate, they charge you for the first hour then charge you for every half hour at an increased rate. They seemed nice enough and I may use them for something else in the future. They are very responsive and follow up very nicely.
