Description of Work: I first spoke to Austin Reid who set up the appointment for me. He FAXED me forms to read and sign and was very courteous. On the appointed day and right on time, Inspector Joe Zeni came and made a thorough inspection, took mold samples and air samples inside and outside. Joe was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and easy to work with. He answered my questions and I felt that comfortable with Mold Masters handling this job. I would use this company again and have recommended them to friends.

Tests involved collecting and analyzing air samples and inspecting behind walls and under house. Remedial actions included treating contaminated areas to eliminate mildew and mold.

Description of Work: They stripped all black mold and dry rotted wood from my laundry room. There was a lot. They found the source leak. They kept all their work enclosed beautifully. They cleaned the air. Then they set it all straight and ready for a builder to come in and replace the rotted wood and drywall.

Description of Work: Removed drywall containing mold and sanitized area and ran HEPA filter for 48 hours. Did not repair or replace removed drywall. Everything was performed as described and in a timely fashion. Easy communication, extremely rapid response, professional, and informative.

It was a really good experience overall. They were fair in their pricing and got the job done in a timely manner.
Description of Work: They remediated mold in one of our bedrooms and in one of the garages. They found some of the wood was compromised and needed to be replaced, so they built us a brace until our contractor could replace the studs for us.

Description of Work: Mold Masters are truly Masters at what they do!! I have been in the Real Estate business both commercial and residential for the past 26 years. Having listed, sold and brought properties throughout Southern California during that time, i have a reputation for only dealing with good and honest people. Back in 2010, I had 4 rental properties that suffered sever water and mold damage because of the heavy storms that year. Because I had reliable, honest and very awesome tenants in those rentals, I wanted to make sure i hired the best professionals available to take care of this embaressing problem. I found Mold Masters in a magazine and was very impressed with their professionlism from the very 1st call. They came out the very next morning prompt and on time, and made me feel at ease that there wasn't a issue or problem they couldn't handle.The pricing was very reasonable considering I used them for several diffrent issues, but very competitive with everyone else I searched for. They we're a Godsend let me tell you! Austin Reid was very knowledgeable, curtious and very professional. I've used them several times since and have even refered them to family and friends for both residential and commercial issues. Now I know why they are called Mold Masters, because they have truly mastered the skill for mold and water damage problems!

One of my tenants reported a broken pipe that had leaked in his unit for quite some time. I called Mold Masters to get a quote along with some other providers found on Google. I elected to go with them, and they dried the unit, removed mold that built up, and rebuilt and restored my unit with their general contractor service. Since my insurance company only covered part of the loss, I was responsible for the remainder of the cost. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced Mold Masters services were. Because I live in the Midwest but my property is in the LA area, this could have been a nightmare but the Mold Masters team handled everything seamlessly.
Description of Work: The firm performed cleanup and mold removal for a property I own in Los Angeles. The property had leak that had gone on for some time. They dried the unit and removed quite a bit of mold that had developed due to the leak. In fact, they were able to completely rebuild and restore my unit to normal since they are also general contractors.

They charged me $75 for an estimate which they have on Angie's List as "free"... but it's only free if you use their service (goes towards the balance) which is a bit misleading and unreasonably high priced given that most of their competition does estimates for free. Then they sent me the quote for the work and quoted me $4,405 for the job... they said it would be impossible to salvage the double sink cabinet and they would "try" not to damage the cabinet top or the sinks but were not responsible if they get damaged during the mold remediation process... When I told them that it was really expensive and really high priced... I told them another guy quoted me significantly less... an hour later he sent me an adapted quote (with me painting the drywall myself) reduced to $3,000. This actually irritated me even more than just after talking to them for 20 min they were able to go down almost $1,400 made me realized how much they were trying to rip me off... that's unbelieveable... even still it was going to cost me $900 (or so they said) to replace the sink cabinet in addition to the $3,000 for repairing... In the end I said no thank you. I went with Allclear which charged me $2,100 for all teh work INCLUDING salvaging the cabinet and restoring it completely!!! I'm glad I didn't stop with Mold Masters... irritated that I lost my $75 but glad I saved so much in the end...
Description of Work: I needed to have mold removed from my bathroom double sink vanity cabinet and from the stairwell against my crawl space.

This project went well and Austin is a very solid professional.
Description of Work: Austin and Mold Masters did mold remediation in a home I have arising from the significant rains of 2009-2010. Austin came in, and figured out what needed to be done, with the previous recommendations of Same Day Mold, and then offered a good price for mold remediation. This included taking out drywall, scraping the walls of any possible problems, and bringing in large machines to scrub the air for any remaining remnants. The house passed the following test for any mold contamination.

I thought they were pretty good. They were professional. They came in with an estimate, but then they realized that there was more damage to fix. It took them a day longer and cost a little bit more than I had anticipated, but it was still reasonable.
