We made a mistake from the beginning to hire a company that does remediation and testing. It is a conflict of interest. Something that I was told by plumbers, contractors and real estate professionals. I should of listened. If you need someone to check for Mold issues make sure they do test only and post remediation. certification. | We had a situation were Stachybotrys mold was found but it was in such a minute amount that the numbers completely disappeared when the air was retested two days later yet Mold Masters recommended to remove four feet of tiled wall with no mold present. The numbers of Stachybotrys mold were 1 and 2 of raw count it should of gotten worse if left untreated. In the bathroom were the problem started there was 2 spores of Stachybotrys per 80 cubic meters and 1 spore of Stachybotrys per 40 cubic meters in the master closet adjacent to the master bath.||The 1 and 2 does not reflect an out of control mold issue. As explained by the two test only companies. When I asked Austin the owner specific questions why he used the choice of words as "The Air Sample indicated significantly degraded air quality." and RED FLAG ARE; ACTION REQUIRED! |He could not justify his choice of over exaggerated wording in the recommendation and results spreadsheet. When I actually had him on the phone with my husband on the other line. He used words like this it was standard responses as to what he writes. We ended using the Insurance company's choice for Service Masters somehow their price was five hundred dollars cheaper than Mold Master, Mold Masters quoted $4,985.00 Angies discount was $4,486.50.|Service Master was $3,888.76 and came with a complete break down of everything that was going to be done very detailed there was absolutely no caparison on the level of detailed professionalism in the scope of work that was going to be done. And yes, I did give the owner Austin an opportunity to address my specific questions his response was while cordial was not informative related to my specific questions. I am a consumer just looking out for the next consumer this is the only reason I took the time to write our experience. The insurance company will reimburse us for our costs with Mold Masters but I felt obligated to tell you as I would have appreciated someone warning me about questionable persons.

I requested Manny and Jame for this work since I was so pleased with my remodeled bathroom that they completed earlier. They were easy to work with and did an excellent job with everything. I was fortunate that they were able to complete my job in between some of their larger work projects. I knew what I'd like done and Manny and Jame were extremely helpful in explaining how my projects should be done for best results. We worked as a team with me making the decisions after getting suggestions from Manny and Jame. Since we had to deal with the existing older construction, it made things go so much better that Manny and Jame have a great deal of construction experience.

We worked directly with the owner. He was very responsive, they were very thorough. We have had a second opinion and they did excellent.

I had three other companies give estimates for some mold and water damage in the bathroom. None of them insisted on $ for the estimate. When I asked that my $150 check not be cashed until we decided who we were going to use, as to allow that money to be applied to the work, I was told that would be okay. But then he said half-under-his-breath, "It's only a hundred and fifty dollars, man." My check was cashed immediately. Needless to say, we used someone else.

They were great. They worked with us on price and were very competitive with the other companies.

I called and asked them to come give me a bid on cleaning up a portion of the ground under my house. I have a raised foundation. Two cats had been going under there for several months and it smelled like a cat box. The cost of the inspection/bid was $150. That amount is deducted from the bill if they perform services. As part of the cleanup, I asked them to remove several old heating ducts that were disconnected and sitting under the house. The old piping was covered in asbestos. The technician explained that asbestos cleanup was not done directly by Mold Masters. They subcontracted the work to another firm. I want to say it took several days to get the bid in my email. They asked for a printed copy to be signed and returned to them by mail or by FAX. I set up the work to be done on a Monday. They showed up and got right to work. There were a total of five people who showed up. Three of them from Mold Masters and two other from the Asbestos removal company. They finished all the work in one day. I want to say the area they cleaned was between 1,000 to 1,500 sq ft. At the end of the day, they had removed all the heater ducts and the cat droppings. An absorbing material was laid down with some kind of deodorizer. They left an industrial sized fan to circulate new air under the house for two days. When they returned on Wednesday to pick up their fan, I told the technician that I could still smell cat urine along the side of the house. He sprayed additional deodorant under the house and also along the outside of the house. That eliminated all the orders that I could detect. I was very pleased with all the work done. It was expensive but worth the money.

The technicians inspected the apartment and tested the air and walls in several places searching for evidence of water damage and mold contamination. After providing me with extensive testing results, they proceeded with mold treatment and eradication in the affected areas. Then they tested the air and walls again to make sure the treated areas were safe. All mold contamination was remediated per IICRC and EPA current industry standards. While I wasn't able to view the work while in process myself, the tenant, an unaffiliated plumber, and my agent all said the work was done in a completely professional manner and in a timely fashion. Mold Masters provided me with an estimate before the work was done and provided the test results (and how to read them) right away. I was pleased with their professionalism and willingness to work with an owner who was out of state.

Came home from vacation to find water damage from a leaking pipe. Called Mold Masters and another company highly-rated on Angie's List for quotes.

Austin was the first point of contact. I felt comfortable and confident in his explanation of what the job would entail. Joe arrived promptly to view the problem and made sure I completely understood what they were going to do. He was professional and very personable. When the remediation team arrived, they explained what they were going to do and then sealed off the 1/2 bath and put down floor protection from the front door to the bathroom. They did a fine job, explaining and asking questions as needed. Angel discovered a leaking angle stop and called the plumber to come fix it. They cleared the site and left it clean. They hauled away the counter/sink assembly and vanity cabinet. I was very, very pleased with their professionalism and attention to the job. Both Austin and Joe followed up and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I was extremely pleased that took on my tiny 1/2 bath. This is a family-owned business and every employee and owner goes out of their way to be sure you are satisfied with the quality of work and the entire process. This has been a very positive experience for me and I highly recommend recommend!

I got a good feeling when I initially talked with Austin about getting an estimate. Next, I dealt with Manny who did a thorough job of sizing up the job so Austin could provide an estimate. Manny and Jame, the team who did my work impressed me with their knowledge and their craft. There was more damage beneath the surface than I knew, but they were able to properly handle the repairs. After the framing was fixed, all the layers of bathroom shower walls were put in place as well as beautiful porcelain tile. It was carefully put together piece by piece and they were very meticulous. I had the benefit of a great designer who selected the tile, vanity, plumbing fixtures, and lights but it all came together because of the beautiful work that Manny and Jame completed.

In short.. the Mold Masters professional service team (recommended by my co-worker) came out and performed a thorough inspection of our bathroom mold, removed and replaced our infected 2 walls, finished and painted and got everything completed in a timely fashion. Their Project Manager (Austin Reid) appeared to be a seasoned professional, seemed to be very knowledgeable in the mold department and was also very helpful and 'detailed' in explaining the overall repair process for me and the Mrs. over our initial phone conversation with all the questions that we had. Within a few days their team was out with their guys and equipment and were practically (in and out) in a couple of days.... the overall price was much less than what we expected and they even cleaned up the place after themselves -which is not common for many contractors or service providers (nowadays)... To anyone out there who has bathroom or any mold issues like we did, I would definitely recommend these guys for the job just as they were recommended to me by my co-worker !!!

We had a great experience. Everything went very well and we would use them again.

I got Mold Masters name from Angie's list. The experience was not good. I learned from this that one should not hire the same company to do the mold testing & the remediation. The project was headed up by Joe, who seemed knowledgeable and professional enough. They did a very good job of sealing off the affected area from the rest of the house, and everything appeared to go well. When they were done, they retested the area & said it was all clear of mold. I decided to have an independent inspector, Jason Harris of Same Day Mold Testers, come to make sure. He took samples & the lab report showed unacceptable levels of mold. Jason was extremely professional & knowledgable Joe was incredulous, so on Jason's suggestion, I had a third tester come to verify who was right. His lab also found unacceptable levels of mold. I gave the report to Mold Masters, & Austin Reid, the owner, agreed that additional work had to be done. They came back, & I could tell that Joe was not pleased with this. However, they then did a thorough job. I had it retested & the results were good. The project started at the end of January, & it was not finished until April. It has been very inconvenient. I must say that Austin Reid was ethical & made good on his promise to take care of the problem.

Excellent in all respects. Professional / freindly / trustworthy. Would not hesitate to engage their services in the future, or to recommend.

Things went fine. The gentleman that came was very nice. He walked around and inspected for mold then took air samples. One week later a report was emailed to me on the findings.

Overall the company was efficient, instructive, supportive, and responsive.

Senior Project Manager, Austin Reid was AMAZING from start to finish! He responded to my phone and email questions immediately (even on weekends!) This was the scariest issue I've ever had with a house, and Austin's knowledge and responsiveness eased my fears. When kitchen walls were opened, required remediation was more extensive than expected. Austin's crew identified two leaks in a kitchen roof, and worked through the weekend to keep me on track with post remediation required reconstruction with another contractor that needed to be completed by early January 2013. Austin's crew was A+ professional, very tidy, and carefully protected all salvaged material from the job. Austin's knowledge was far reaching, and he always had an answer, referral, and detailed information for all of my questions/concerns. I hope to never need additional mold remediation, but if I do, Mold Masters is the only company I would trust! Thank you!

When I called about their services, they told me they only do mold remediation work, which was fine, but that we would need to find someone else to replace the cabinets. Mold Masters would do the wall repair, though. The person who gave me the estimate and did the moisture mapping was thorough and professional. We was also right on time for his appointment with us and provided us with the written estimate within 24 hours. The only reason my wife and I did not use Mold Masters to do this work was because they could not start the job as quickly as we needed them to (we have relatives coming to stay with us very soon), and because given our time crunch to get the work completed, I did not want to have to find another person to do the cabinet work, although the person they recommended to us did come out and gave us an estimate. He was also very good and professional. I would recommend Mold Masters, certainly.

They first protected all the walkways they would be using to and from the work area; then they enclosed the area completely, sealing off two doors and a built-in drawer bank. They covered our bedroom furniture near that area, too. They removed the drywall, installed new drywall, sanded, matched two colors of paint, and finished the area like new - all in one day. It was a beautiful job! We are very pleased. All the staff were very courteous and professional. We were happy to find a mold-remediation contractor who could handle the entire job - and so well.

The clean-up afterward was thorough. They explained precautions and mitigation measures to take in order to prevent future problems. There team was courteous and professional.

It went very well and even though Mold Masters had to wait for us to set up a contractor to start the remodeling of the kitchen, they were ready to come immediately when called. Joe was very helpful in explaining how things were to be set up and was always pompt in calling back, and was punctual. The workers who removed the mold were very thorough and hard working. They spent approximately 2/3 of a day doing the work and then setting up the final fan to remove the bad air. Everthing looked very clean and tidy. I would say that we were very satisfied with their work.

After moving into a new house, and noticed that the washing machine valve in the laundry room was leaking and that the surrounding drywall was soft. After having a mold inspector come out, we discovered that there was mold in the laundry room and kitchen. We called several remediation companies for estimates, and Mold Masters' bid was by far the most competitive. They arrived on time and treated the problem area quickly and effectively. We later found out that there was an additional mold problem in the downstairs bath that the mold inspector had not detected - Mold Masters gave us a reasonable bid to treat this problem, and gave us an additional discount when they discovered that this second mold problem was not as extensive as originally anticipated. They were very professional through the whole process, and I would definitely use them again if, God forbid, we ever have mold issues again.

It turned out to be a much bigger job than we had originally thought, but they were incredible. It was a hard job and they ended up having to tear out an entire bathroom! We received three bids from three other companies, and they weren’t the cheapest, but they were fantastic overall! This happened during a heat wave, and even though we couldn’t turn the air conditioning on in that room due to the spores potentially being spread, their work ethic was excellent.

They monitored the area and provide fans. They also provided helpful information and suggestions, which I appreciated. They were very professional and provided prompt service. I would definitely use them again!

I'm unable to disclose any details but overall everything regarding Mold Masters was nothing short of exceptional.
