MELROSE MAC

Customer of Melrose Mac for over five years for personal and business purchases. Extremely knowledgeable with Mac-based audio-visual applications and equipment, and is one of the entertainment industry's best kept secrets in L.A. They were a lifesaver on a recent film production I was involved with, and saved us many $$$ of dollars worth of downtime. Most recent purchase was of business & multimedia software as well as cpu power cables for high end video cards. Repairs are reliable and reasonably priced. They can get very busy so calling/appointments are recommended.

As well as could be expected. After repeated attempts, they could not fix my computer. But I am getting a replacement from the manufacturer and they helped me with that. There must have been a change of ownership, management or philosophy at this store since my first few visits because the last two times I've had to take my computer in for repairs, the service personnel have been FRIENDLY and even HELPFUL, instead of the surly, indifferent reception I had received the first couple of times. So refreshing.

Recommended Melrose Mac location replaced the logic board on our iMac G5; the new logic board proved to be defective. The original location was unable to replicate the odd pattern that appeared on the computer screen. After many phone calls, this location agreed to try to fix the problem. The solution was yet another logic board. It took eight days to be fixed, which, in light of the fact that I had already paid for this repair once, several weeks before, I found to be an unacceptably long time. Especially considering their promise to rush the repair. Dealing with the service department was a pain, due to agents' attitudes. When I walked in, the only available agent immediately picked up a phone that was not ringing and held it to his ear for about 5 minutes, saying nothing, while he worked at his computer, and studiously avoided acknowledging my presence, much less make eye contact. The agents were condescending and acted like they were doing me a favor by serving me.

THEY'RE A GREAT COMPANY. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. THE QUALITY OF WORK IS VERY GOOD. THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY. THEY'RE ON TIME. IF THEY SAY SOMETHING IS GOING TO BE DONE, THEY ARE ON TIME. THEY HAVE KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MAC COMPUTERS, AND THEY ONLY DEAL WITH MAC COMPUTERS WHICH IS NICE.
