Matt Edwards Floor Refinishing

Matt Edwards was recommended to me by a real estate agent who had used him to refinish the floors in several of the homes he listed. I was looking for someone to refinish the original white oak floors (except the kitchen which is newer cherry oak) of my 1928 house. I needed someone who could work around my general contractor who was doing other work prior to my move-in and who could also get some deep scratches out of the dining room floor and replace some boards if necessary. Matt came over within a day or two of being called and gave me an estimate. We agreed to get started in the next few days. I provided him a 50% deposit and he and his co-worker got started sanding the floors. He was able to get the deep scratches out of my dining room without sanding too much of the wood. He was also able to replace a few boards around the fireplace surround which was being replaced. After sanding, he came over several consecutive days (again, working around my contractor) to apply the poly coats. The floors look amazing and of all the work I had done, I think having the floors refinished makes the biggest difference to the house. Btw, Matt typically gets all of his work via word of mouth but agreed that I could post this review when I asked him if he'd like me to do that. It's been a year since he did the work and I'm just getting around to it. The floors still look as good as they did a year ago. I highly recommend Matt.
