Mar Vista Overhead Door

Frank is a jerk!! He came by my house for him to determine whether I need a new garage door or can just replace the panel that was ripped. He was supposed to get back to me with an estimate and garage door suggestions but never did. I called him after a week and he said that I could either replace the broken panel or the entire garage door and would drop off a brochure with a picture of the garage door he recommended. He VOLUNTEERED to drop it off. I reviewed the brochure and the door he recommended was similar to mine but not exact and I wanted to see the color in person. I contacted the vendor directly for a sample and was told that the installer would have samples and I should ask him. So I called him and told him what they said. I wasn't going to purchase something without actually seeing it in person, especially if I was going to replace just one panel and it needed to match what I already had. He again offered to come to my place with the sample. When he got here I told him that I was definitely going to use his services but that there were some differences and could he see if he can find a more exact match. He blew a gasket and complained about all the work he had already done. ***?? If I'm going to replace a panel then it needs to match what I have or I'll have a weird looking garage door. He then complained that he was semi-retired and blah blah blah. He just started yelling so I told him I didn't want his business and told him to leave. I see the good reviews he's received are from years ago. Maybe he's gotten meaner as he's gotten older but I WILL DEFINITELY NEVER RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES AND WILL MAKE SURE EVERYONE KNOWS ABOUT THE BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD WITH HIM!!

After cleaning and oiling, the remote was still acting iffy. Frank found that the sequencer was going out (after 15 years). He replaced it and now the garage works fine! Cost for service call $75 + cost of new sequencer $75. I am happy with Frank's knowledge and many years of experience. I highly recommend this business.

I thought that he was going to be able to do the job. He stayed so long, it began to get late. I needed him to go home. He left, and didn't charge. The job was incomplete. Now I am going to have to find someone to finish the job. Left a mess.

Provider showed up on time, did the work quickly and accurately. Spring broke, I requested stronger springs as different installer used 1.5and quot; springs that didn't last. This provider installed them quickly. Price seemed a hair high, but the work was done quickly and needed it done.

Frank is a very honest, reliable, and low priced. I would recommend him to all that need service or repairs; or a new door for that matter

Frank is careful and honest. We used Mar Vista a few years ago with good results and are pleased that this current job was done perfectly. I called Mar Vista and explained that I needed to have two springs installed on my wooden garage door. Frank showed up on time the next day as planned. He carefully reviewed the issues and installed the springs. I then had him install two more springs. He tuned the door so it opens easily. He charged exactly what he had estimated. I will definitely use him in the future.

I called Mar Vista Overhead Door when my garage door broke trapping my car inside. I was already late for work so I was relieved when the man I spoke to assured me that he would come out right away (he estimated about 15 minutes). But he never showed up and nobody answered the phone when I tried calling to check up on his status. Finally after over an hour I got a hold of him and he rudely told me that he had tried to find my house but couldn't. I have no idea why he didn't call to check on the directions and he didn't really answer my question when I asked him nor did he apologize for wasting my time. Completely unprofessional.

I called them on an emergency basis. I was moving and had lots of possession is the garage. I could not close the door.They came right away and saved me!

After trying for two days to replace the busted spring on my garage door I called Angies List. Found three companies in my area that came out to look at the problem. Mar Vista Overhead Door was the fastest to come, the lowest priced and knew what the problem was two seconds after they arrived. I hired them on the spot and they made a run to Home Depot to buy replacement parts that I bent and still had the door fixed in two hours. Now my door works better than it ever did, is much quieter.
