They are an independent Mac repair place, and they only carry products that are of the highest quality among the lot. Their repair work has always been very good. They really know their stuff. They will occasionally give free advice when asked. Their price is a little bit higher. Description of Work: When my computer falls apart and I can’t fix it myself, I go to MAC Enthusiasts. I bought something from them 6 months ago.

My experience was ultimately awful. At first, I brought it in to determine whether my hard drive was healthy, and if so, I was going to add Leopard and more RAM. They told me it was, so I did. I brought the computer home, and it crashed, losing all my data. I brought it back to determine whether the data could be recovered and to see if the hard drive should be replaced. After I dropped it off, I considered purchasing a whole new computer, rather than add more money to this old one. I called them to see if I could work out a purchase with them at a better deal, given that I had already given them $500 or so for the upgrades, based on their representation that my hard drive was okay. They told me to come in on Monday and we could work something out, but when I called on Monday, they had already replaced the hard drive and update the RAM, because whomever I spoke to didn't relay the message. Having no other choice, I took the computer home, where I recently discovered that their "data recovery" wasn't data recovery at all, because all of my purchased iTunes music is now unauthorized. I brought it to them this morning, and they said there was nothing they could do, because when one puts in a new operating system iTunes believes that it's a whole new computer. I pointed out to them that information would be something to provide me with prior to my spending $1000 on "data recovery" etc. but they were unmoved. Had they refunded me a $100 (the price of the lost music) I would have been satisfied, but they totally passed the buck and claimed there is nothing they could do. All in all, I spent enough money there to purchase a whole new computer, and what they provided me with is worse than what I brought in. Hopefully there is another service provider out there that is better at communicating with clients and does better work.
Description of Work: Replaced hard drive, purchased external harddrive, "data recovery" and updated operating system to Leopard.

Told me work would be with 3-5 days. Took 2 weeks, continuous excuses, was told I would be called by technician at a certain time, & wasn't. Arrogant, unsympathetic, & barely apologetic attitude when I picked up my machine. Business must be good or they don't care. Never use them again.
Description of Work: Replaced a DVD drive, tune up on iBookG4.
