Angie list wasn"t given to me by Nancy from the city of Paramount it was her fault . The city code officer told me that I could find some very relaible contractor through Angie list what kind of contrator was he. I know he have ripe a lots of people off this way this guy should me stopped. I wish he would he go to jail for this behavior. It"s a shame. THIS PERSON IS SHOWING UP UP ON COMPUTER AS A fDESIGNER?

This preliminary stage it was important for me to get a realistic and honest assessment of how much things will cost in order to align my expectations. Additionally, he is flexible enough to continue to communicate with in order to help me along with the project by addressing issues such as foundation costs in hillsides, structuring the project into phases, and rental design ascpect of project. A very good listener and able to contribute with valuable information.

Estimate process was smooth.

I was in a time crunch after having been cited by a city official for various minor code violations, including a wooden stairway handrail that had slightly rotted wood and needed replacing within a matter of a couple of weeks. I was advised that I needed a city building permit to make the necessary replacement of the handrail, and the city required architectural plans and specs. by a certified architect or structural engineer. After another architect was hired and failed to give the matter priority, I hired Lee Jubas. He was very responsive and able and willing to work on short notice, giving the matter his attention and priority with a quick site inspection, careful research and drafting of necessary architectural drawings and specs. and meeting with city offiicials to get the permit. All that was left for me to do was to meet him at City Hall and formally complete the paperwork to get the permit. It had all been done in a span of four days. We agreed that it was unfortunate that I had to jump through hoops, including having to hire an architect on a relatively simple repair project, but I was under the gun, and there was no fighting city hall regarding their requirements. Lee charged $145.00 per hour and capped his total time at ten hours in a written contract which he e-mailed to me, with some incidental expenses. I did not mind paying him this amount because he worked diligently on the matter and his written product got city approval without delay and without the need for any redos. Professionalism exemplified.

This was a complicated & difficult project, and he performed magnificently in solving the problem of how to make the kitchen viable and functional (not to mention beautiful and inviting) and tied the entire house together stylistically so that it is now admired throughout the neighborhood. He listened to our ideas, presented some excellent suggestions of his own and was totally accommodating when we requested changes. He dealt with all the permitting hurdles thrown up by the city, stayed with us throughout the construction process and prevented contractor misconduct on numerous occasions (more about that scurvy crowd later). Lee has excellent taste and takes great pride in his work.
