Description of Work: We have a home built in 1961 and purchased by us in 1991. We have had forced air furnaces replaced twice. I suffer from severe environmental allergies. Jeff from JW Heating and Air took 3 hours to evaluated the home and submitted an estimate. On one days notice, he began the job; removed all asbestos ducts and replaced them, installed a variable speed furnace, air filtration system, humidifier in the attic and an air conditioning unit outside. The job took 5 working days and they were on time. I now have a double closet space. The units are energy efficient and qualify us for a $2000.00 tax credit. They were thorough, professiona,l and on time. At the end of day they cleaned and phoned in a message of what was acompolished. Job was completed, on time and right on estimate. This is an exceptional company who are considerate, reliable, and friendly. The were guests in my home and behaved with diginity and professionalism. I found them on referral, from one who saw their reviews on Angie's list. I encourage you to Hire them !!!!!!

Description of Work: Wasted an entire day waiting for the tech to arrive; the appointment was confirmed for 11 - 1; no sign of them at 1 so I called to be told he would be another hour and a half.............2 hours later, still nobody so I call again.......to be told, yep you guessed it........'on the 101, still at least half an hour away' emergency somewhere else, blah, blah, blah....unless the techs are on motorcyles, nobody on the 101 is getting anywhere in 30 minutes on a friday at 3pm so we scrapped it and will find somebody else. Read the great reviews, but I have been jerked around all day; I guess they have more work than they need to be able to treat potential customers this way - I guess I will go elsewhere to drop $10k on a new AC system.

Description of Work: I had 3 different HVAC companies come out to help with the problem that heating system stopped working after a thermostat was incorrectly installed by a painter that disconnected it, then reconnected it incorrectly. The first tried selling me a new system for $3000 and said that the old one was recalled years ago (I checked and the company that made the system had never recalled a heater ever). The second said that the wiring was to a mess and would cost $600 just to get it straightened out. And the third said that the entry crawl space to access the system was too small and they wouldn't touch it (which it is too small, so I understand). Yurick came and helped out. He solved all problems after dilligently going through everything and deducing what was actually wrong. It seems that one of the previous service men had reinstalled one part upside down and that a transformer had been blown (which I thought to be the problem and had the replacement waiting there for him). Very satisfied and would use JW Heating again in a second. Yurick was a complete gentleman and over all good human, which is a nice thing to come across any time.
