Hottest day of the year - all were miserable (wife, children, workers.) Took two days. Despite being w/o AC for 2 weeks prior, and the day of service the hottest period of the year - all went well. Unit want prior attic installed, but new system was bigger, thus it had to move about 20ft. New system is remarkably quiet. New SEER rating hopefully will provide the savings promised. Recently turned on the heater - all is well and time will tell.

AC failing. 11 YO. No longer serviceable; i.e. $4K to repair with Standard warranty (e.g. 12mo), or $8-12K for newer system, new system warranty. We opted to the later.

It was fine. There was some confusion about the heating universal AT unit and some separate things. It was probably my fault for not reading fine print good enough, but the only problem I had, the guy did the job, he didn't leave a report on the condition of the unit. He didn't make any recommendations. He just did the job and left. Which, is fine. It would have been nice to know the condition of the unit. He did say that if I wanted him to do the other part of the service, which I thought was part of it, I would have to pay more. The guy was knowledgeable, it was the dialogue about the condition of the unit, or leaving something behind. My wife said that she just signed a piece of paper and he left. They were on the higher side compared to some of Angie's List deals. He made a suggestion that I replace the unit and put in new duct work. I think that was because the thing is 20 years old, but it still runs right. I wasn't there, but he was very punctual, he was right on time. I might if they had left me some information. I can't say if I would recommend them.

Professional service guy appeared and did a good job inspecting system. Recommended a recharge which was a little expensive, but overall did a good service.

Technician arrived on time, was professional, was helpful, explained what he was doing and what could be done in the futureif there was a problem. I liked that he didn't try to sell me anything or talk down to me. I will use this company in the future should a problem come up with my AC/heating.

Extremely professional serviceman discussed new unit as most neighbors have replaced these old units. He also offered a choice to try to repair, I felt he was very honest. Our community is doing major roof work and will wait. JW followed up with a written estimate. Hope to work with JW in the near future. The technician arrived within the assigned time frame. He went to work in the basement checking the furnaces, cleaning parts and filters and insuring the pilots were lit properly. He was pleasant, courteous, friendly but completely professional. He showed me how to program my thermostat. He performed his work timely and left the work area as clean as he found it. I am very pleased with his performance. I have used J&W before and am always very satisfied with the work done by the technicians. I will absolutely use them again.

The original 1982 heating and air conditioning unit was reaching the end of its service life and replacement parts were not always available. A neighbor had received a quote from JW Heating and Air to replace an identical unit. They gave us a better price for replacing two units on the same day. The work went smoothly, on the scheduled day. A crane lifted the new units from street level to the roof of the three-story building and lowered the old units. Three installers (Ramon, Ismael, and Sunny) completed the connections and drain lines and tested the units. They worked steadily on one of the hottest days of the year. The new unit, a Lennox LRP14GE, works well -have tested for both heating and AC. I would definitely hire them again if I need similar work.

It was like a tune-up thing. They were not able to get my air-con to operate. He wasn't able to do it. He said, "It needs this part, that part, this part." They said that it's an old centralized air-con unit and that it was going to cost too much for the parts. The technician was not motivated to really fix it because of the amount of the promotion. When they left, I remembered to call another person on Angie's List. One time, a year back, he came to do a tune-up on the air-con and heating. I was able to get in touch with him. He came and was able to get it going. The price was fine because it was a promotional price through Angie's List.

From start to finish, it was a very professional job, on budget and on time, with pleasant technicians and great follow-up. There is a service technician out every six months to check the system and keep the filters in good shape. We are very happy with our air system and would definitely recommend the entire team at JW Heating and Air.

I bought a big deal for this and they were fine. They came out less than a week after I purchased the deal. It turned out to be quite a big more than the price of the big deal. There is always room for improvement of some kind.

As an update to my review, I had another company come out and perform a second opinion. They looked at my entire AC system and said everything looks excellent. I then asked if they saw any mold. They said there was none. JW had told me that there was mold on my air filter as well as inside the system. Again, when I asked them if I should contact a mold remediation company, they said no. All I needed was a UV light bulb for nearly $700. This company that provided me with a second opinion said there was no mold and that I would have to have had extensive water damage or flooding or at least some water present at all for there to be mold. Sounds to me like the techs at JW work based off of commission and someone was trying to line their pockets with my $700 UV light bulb purchase.

Carlos came out and gave a bid on the project. He was nice, and offered to replace my pump as well in the bid. He came back at another appointment and did a very good job. Thank you!

The entire experience was extremely positive from the initial call to the final day of installation. Ted explained the entire process in detail when he came to give us a bid. I had 3 other bids which were comparable price wise but got a complete picture of the scope of the project from JW. I also discovered JW was finishing an installation 4 blocks from my home & after speaking with the homeowners I was convinced JW was the way to go. Shawn, Ignacio, Ramon & Jessie arrived on time each day & cleaned up before leaving. Couldn't have been happier with the crew, they had great attitudes & work ethics you don't see very often anymore. They stayed on our job & completed it before going to another job. They went out of their way to be sure we were happy as they went along. My husband is disabled & they were very careful not lay tools, etc. around that he could trip on. They took great care to cover my new wood floors which I REALLY appreciated. I found JW Heating on Angie's List & read numerous positive reviews which I agree with. I would DEFINITELY recommend JW Heating & Air (family run) to anyone needing this type of service. This was a huge investment for us & we appreciate them making it run very smoothly. Thanks to all of you at JW Heating & Air.

The office staff was as prompt and courteous as the tech. He did everything he said he would, when he said he would and was upfront about the cost and time involved. Absolutely recommend.

Their service was great. There were no additional prices to the big deal price. They were thorough, fair and seemed trustworthy.

Dustin was able to quickly assess the situation and the problem. He went the extra mile by providing clear information about the problem and my options. He was very professional and I recommend him and JW highly!

Great job, replaced a burnt out 30year old unit. Company was honest and worked within budget; didn't try to upsell and was honest about the different types of systems that would or would not work well for my house. Work was done as quickly as possible and now 5 months later all systems are still working great! Definitely recommended! Only improvements that I would recommend to the company is the promptness of invoicing at the completion of job.

Less than a week after services and one unit's repairs, another unit stopped working.

They were polite, courteous and responsive. My tenant seems to feel the AC doesn't cool as much as it should when it's very hot outside but I'm not able to speak to that as I don't live on the premises.

Simple and easy. Mark was right on time and friendly and clean (he wore booties in the house!) :-) I think it was a pretty simple visit as everything seemed to be working fine, but he checked it all out, cleaned it up (and the hatch to the furnace that had previous smudges) and gave me confidence that I'm in good shape of the cooler winter weather...
