From beginning to end, our experience with them has been positive. In the first place, Ted - who came to give us an estimate - told us the one salient fact that none of the other heating companies even noticed: because we live in a hundred-year-old house, the ducts and vents are unable to accommodate as powerful a furnace as the square footage of our house would seem to call for. Ted had us size-down when we purchased the new furnace. The JW technicians took great care with the installation and for the final set-up of our thermostats, a great guy named Josh Wilkinson worked for hours to make sure that everything was completed. I highly recommend.

Let me start by saying this was NOT the cheapest bid we received! But everyone we dealt with from the initial salesperson to the owner were so professional and knowledgable that we couldn't help but feel completely confident in our choice to use them. They explained every single detail to us from start to finish beginning with the pros and cons of the units we were considering to the permit process to the last nut and bolt of the installation process. Ours was a very complicated project so the owner himself came out and did a full evaluation of the job and walked us through exactly how he would accomplish what we thought would be a nearly impossible task. The other contractors we received bids from merely gave it all a quick look see and emailed us a bid with no explanation as to how they would actually accomplish what they were promising. Jeff Williams (JW) wanted us to be confident that we could trust them to get the job done right. He was honest from the start and told us we probably wouldn't get our desired cooling on the top floor of our 3 story architectural home (heat rises so top=hottest with 11 skylights and an entire wall of west facing windows, to boot.) We even had to sign a waiver to the fact because he couldn't guarantee our desired results. But boy were we pleasantly surprised! The cooling is WAY beyond our wildest expectations. Our house has NEVER been so comfortably heated and cooled and after a few tweaks, the zoning works like a charm! Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't sing the praises of the installers. They started every work day at exactly 7:00am and were completely out of the house with all mess cleaned up by 3:30pm. We work from home and barely knew they were even here the entire time. They were all very well trained and knowledgable about the system they were installing and super friendly and helpful. Yes folks, this is a legit review and I will never stop raving about the job this company did. I highly recommend JW!

They did great work. They will persist until they get everything solved. I had an issue with efficiency and getting the permit approved in Redondo Beach and they were able to figure it out and make sure it is perfect so I can get my permit. Everyone I worked with has been really nice, and they always know my name. They always let me know who is coming and give me a courtesy call to let me know when they will arrive. They do business they way I would if i ran my own company.

Our technician was Ruddy and he was very nice and knowledgeable. He was quick, friendly, and competent. Would definitely recommend and will hire again for future projects.

The service rep was on time, professional and knowledgeable about the unit. He made recommendations to fix the problem and gave a ballpark estimate of the cost for his company to do the repair.

Professional, experienced and cost-effective. The service tech, Ruddy, was professional and knowledgeable. He explained the work that he was performing and was able to answer questions about my equipment coherently and clearly. Even though me service appointment was pushed back to the afternoon due to an issue with truck maintenance, the front office did a good job communicating the change in timing to me.

There was no malfunction at the time of the service call. He did nothing, but offered a free call back within two months. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding as to what the $89.00 purchased. The service provider felt the ad that I responded to was clear, but I thought the ad was misleading. Although I have responded that I will not use this provider in the future, I'm not sure whether or not I would use them again. As mentioned above, I thought the ad was misleading.

They were excellent, no added cost but the cost that was advertised.

A gentleman from JW Heating came to my house punctually, and inspected mostly outdoor unit spending approximately half an hour. He explained the units are okay overall and recommended to replace "capacitor" as it is getting old and can not start outdoor unit if it gets down. My experience with this company; Left no written report about inspection but just explained the condition of the units verbally which , I think, is not a professional manner. They charged about $210 to replace capacitor (only took 5 minutes) besides 69dollars of inspection. I checked the price of capacitor and found it costs only around $10. I think $210 is overcharged for labor of 5 minutes and material of $10 as I paid $69 of inspection fee which including their traveling to my house.

They are excellent. They come when they say they will come. They are polite and their prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone and I will continue to use them.

I purchased two Big Deals for $69 each. Before coming out, someone from JW heating called to get information regarding the furnaces that need servicing. I have an old floor furnace and a wall furnace. I was informed that the company does not service floor furnaces, and I could call Angies List for a refund on one of the Big Deals. On the scheduled day, one guy from JW heating arrived on time to service the wall heater. The wall heater is quite old too, but was still working until the pilot went out during the first storm. The serviceman could not get the pilot lit. I was told maybe the valve needed to be replaced, but that was no guarantee that the pilot light would come on. Since the heater over 20 years old, both JW Heating and I decided it was not worth servicing. I was told that the company would send me a refund because they could not charge me if no service was performed. The worker was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

I bought a deal to work on my heater. Unfortunately parts were not readily available. The repairman said it was not worth fixing and told me that they would approve a refund. Honesty is hard to find in the heating and air trade. These guys are a keeper.

Responded promptly to email for service. Showed up on time for appointment. Technician professional; explained service performed clearly. Definitely would use this company again.

.Carlos arrived on time. Was very friendly. We went to the heater that needed to be checked out and he took his time doing the inspection. Felt he was very knowledgeable and was confident he was doing a good job. Answered all questions completely. We would recommend JW Heating and A/C and use for any future work.

Ted came and spend a considerable amount of time measuring my house and talking about possible solutions to add AC. So far so good, he seemed knowledgeable and a nice person to talk with. After he left I never receive the quote for the job, I called his office twice with no luck, he simply disappeared. I think this is very unprofessional.

The technician was very knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant. Our tankless has continued to work almost perfectly (it is 10 years old) for the past twelve months (yes, it took me a year to write this review!!). Sorry for the delay, life just gets in the way sometimes. Thank you very much.

We had JW Heating install a wall heater in our guest house. EVerything was fine - installation was quick and clean, but then the unit wouldn't turn on just a few days later. They came back out and fixed something and it worked for another month before breaking again. They came out and fixed again. I may be a little off on the exact timelines here but I think it worked for a month or so, broke again, they came out and told us it was a gas issue. Gas company came out and told us the gas was fine. They came out again (each time a different service person) and said the unit needed a new part - they swapped and said all would be fine. Which it was, for the rest of the season. The next year, it wouldn't work again, and when I suggested perhaps we had a lemon that should be replaced, they sent someone out who fixed it and then...it broke again. This time, it was no longer under warranty, and I had to pay a service call. At this point, I probably should have (definitely should have) found someone else to repair it, but they have such good ratings I guess I wanted to believe it would be fixed once and for all. We had one season where it worked throughout with no issues, but then, this year, we had a roof done. The roofer (that review will be posted soon) did not cover the vent and it filled with debris WHICH CAUGHT FIRE when the heater was turned on. We called JW to come inspect the problem and give us a quote. They told us the unit would need to be removed to be cleared out and it would cost $1000, and that it would've cost more but he was "giving us a break." The roofers, who are paying for this, balked and insisted we get more quotes. Which we did - for $300 and $355 dollars respectively and they told us that the heater was NOT INSTALLED CORRECTLY to begin with?! So- we have to have it brought up to code, even though it was only put in 3 years ago. Maybe we just had REALLY bad luck with this company, or maybe they were having some issues with service people, but this quote for $1000 was supposedly from one of the owners. I'm feeling pretty worked over...

They ended up calling me when they were at the residence and asked for my credit card, which I gave them. I feel that I was overcharged and it was way overpriced. They wouldn't give me credit for the $69 tune up that I prepaid for.
