Great experience dealing with the entire staff, from the Sales Contract with Ted to the team who did the installation in 3 days. They arrived on time every day and cleaned up before they left. The Project Manager, Art, was on site at all times explaining what work would be done and how the new system would work. The team members Alan, Ramon and Dennis were great - they not only worked well as a team but respected us (the customers) and their supervisor Art. Every employee we spoke to was happy to be working for JW Heating - it was a pleasure to see such efficiency and team work. We'd definitely recommend them.

Our technician, David, arrived a few minutes after 8am the next day. We explained the situation to David and he was extremely thorough in his work. He started inside our house at the thermostat, checked that thoroughly before he did anything else. Then went outside to our fuse box and did the same thing there. Then went up on the roof to check the Heating unit itself. He replaced fuses if he needed to, but said we would have to call an electrician for the rest of the work. He was able to get our house fan started again, but not the heat. He did narrow down our issue significantly and said our next step would be to have an electrician come out. He was really good at what he did and we are so glad this company has him as an employee. We received great value for our $99.00. We would recommend him and the company to anyone who asks.

This company responded to a request I made to improve my air conditioning system. They recommended additional ducts. The price was not inexpensive, but reasonable. They arrived promptly when promised. Described work to be performed. Completed work in a timely professional manner. Maintained area in a clean condition. Entirely satisfied with their work and with the result.

They did an excellent job, the owner came and personally supervised, explained everything they were doing. They maintain the system twice a year.

It went great. This isn't the most economical company in town, but you get what you pay for. They are professional, punctual, and do a great job.

It went great. My technician was David G. who i thought was fantastic. He was prompt on arrival. He really took his time and did a very thorough inspection. He took photos and then explained everything to me with great patience. He seemed very trustworthy and capable. I was impressed with how much time he spent and never seemed rushed. Very kind and thorough man. I have used J&W before many times and will continue to use them. I highly recommend them!!

Technician showed up on time and did the maintenance work that was needed. Everything went very smoothly.

The day before Thanksgiving with a houseful of out-of-town guests, the heater stopped working. I called J&W Heating as we've used them before for heater tune-ups and were always pleased with their service. This time, they outdid themselves. The office staff were extremely helpful and worked hard to fit us in despite a full schedule. They actually cheered when they were able to find a technician to send to our house! They kept us posted by telephone of their progress in trying to accommodate us. We had an experienced, knowledgeable technician in our house within a couple of hours of the first call. He diagnosed the problem (a faulty thermostat which he replaced) and the heater was up and running in no time. Price was totally reasonable. J&W's service was outstanding.

I contracted JW who claimed there was a failure with some internal part of the unit, which was less than 5 years old, but not to worry it was under warranty. Well the labor still cost me nearly $500.00 The work was done and at first use I had the exact same problem. JW returned and diagnosed a different problem but said it would be covered by what I already paid. They supposedly fixed it and still the exact same issue persisted. I called them out for a third time. Mind you it was a different person each time. On the third occasion I got a completely different diagnosis and estimate to fix the problem totaling over a $1,000.00, and I got charged for the service call to boot. At that point I called a friend who knew a guy and he came in with yet a different diagnosis. Took me into the attic and explained what the issue was. His explanation was totally different from anything the JW reps said. He charged me $500.00 and the job was completed within a couple of hours the next day. I used the system all summer and I never had that problem again. I had decided that I wouldn't write a negative review but Angie's list just prompted me for a response so here it is. Good luck with this company.

The work went well. Ruddy arrived as scheduled on time. He applied shoe booties before entering our house. He went to work immediately. He did the above and found that our unit had a leaking capacitor. He showed us the leaking device and the puddle it had created. He gave us an estimate for his work of $212, I agreed to the work. Later, I pondered what was the breakdown for the ACTUAL cost of $250, So I attempted to find out. I called JW's office and was told that Ruddy would be contacted and he would call me back. This was not the case. A couple of days passed. I called again and was asked if someone had called. No. Apology and promise. Time passed. No call. I called again. Someone told me that I should talk with Ruddy. I said NO. You talk with Ruddy and YOU call me back. Promises were made. Time passed. No call. I called back. I was told that Craig--someone in a management position--would call me back. He didn't. Time passed--I don't remember how much. I called back and was told that Craig would call me immediately. He did. He went over the invoice. My invoice included a Task described as "Quick Fix" for $250.33. Craig explained that the $250 included Ruddy's time to replace the capacitor and the cost of the capacitor. He didn't give me an exact breakdown but estimated that the capacitor cost about $50. If you search the web and you'll find that replacing a capacitor can cost just about anything so I should consider myself fortunate at $50. The cost of the media filter ($76.50) was also quite expensive vs the cost of a filter at a Lowe's or Home Depot. My rating for JW responsiveness is Lousy. I have agreed to another two services calls in 2017. So that brings me to the total cost of $487.03.

I very seldom can say "Awsome". My appointment time was from 8-10am. To my delight and surprise Alex Garcia arrived at 8:10am. Axex is simply awesome. He cleaned my system, replaced my filter and answered all the questions I had; very patient and great personality. Before he left I spoke with the main office to set up yet another appointment to discuss the install of a new heating and air conditioning system. I totally trust this company.

The contractor left a remininant piece of metal ductwork and the workmanship was very sloppy although I paid top dollar.

It went well. Just stop expensive for me.

I highly recommend JW Heating and Air. We completely replaced our furnace, AC unit, and all ductwork. I met with 3 HVAC folks and was very disappointed with them. They all immediately sized the system without doing the Manual J calc, based on my home's square footage. I knew from my research on the web that this is completely wrong. I turned to Angie's list and found JW Heating and Air had over 1,000 A ratings, and figured we'd try them out. Ted Ceausu from JW Heating and Air was great to work with. Very professional and before he left, said he'd be doing the manual J calculations and then room calcs to figure out the amount of air-flow and duct size we would need in each room. Woohoo! I didn't even need to ask about it! Their cost was right in the middle between the lowest and highest bids I received. But everything Ted said, was great. We have a home built in 1936, and he is experience working with other historic homes and provided us a vendor for reproduction grates that he was able to include in our quote. But it's really the attention to details that made all the difference. Since antique style grates have much bigger openings, he let us know that they would spray paint the inside of the registers black to ensure we wouldn't see any silver metal when looking inside. This compared to my neighbor who said that when she asked her HVAC installer to do the same, he said his job stopped at the installation. She had to paint her own. The crew was all very polite and they kept our house very clean as all new holes needed to be cut for all the registers as the existing ones were too small or not well-placed. Best of all, when the state inspector came, he said our 5-ton system was the best he'd every tested as far as leakage, at 4 1/2%. Avoid any contractor who doesn't want you to get permits or inspections. Paying for that is like money in-the-bank over the long haul to insure your systems was installed properly. We've had the system for two weeks, and so-far-so good with the AC. Again, JW Heating and AIR is the best!

It was very expensive and yet they did not diagnose right. They were fairly responsive. I am unlikely to use them again.

I don't even know where to start and will certainly run out of room. The first guy told me I needed work done and said he'd send an estimate, but also couldn't figure out how to get on the roof (which has never happened before), but said he'd send the estimate and come back with a partner another day. Estimates never arrived, no follow-up visit ever happened. I finally asked what was up and got the estimates, but they had no idea that he hadn't finished the work. So they sent two NEW guys, who had no idea about the other guy. I had questions about the estimate that they couldn't answer because they didn't know anything about it. I complained that I'd had these questions about the estimate for weeks now and they said they'd report back to their bosses and have someone reach out. In the meantime, they found MORE stuff wrong and said they'd send me an estimate. Guess what happened? THE EXACT SAME THING. They for sure remembered to bill me for the visit, but never bothered to send me the estimates. Meanwhile, the A/C failed for the exact reason they predicted -- before the estimates for the work were sent. I wound up calling someone else and having them come out and fix it before I received estimates from J.W. and guess what -- this place charged me substantially less, so I guess it all worked out in the end. But wow, J.W. has seriously gone downhill and will not be getting my business again.

He did good work, fast, polite, and patient. Wound up signing up for a twice yearly service plan.
