Junk Junk Los Angeles

This is my first Angie's List review. These guys did a great job and were HALF the price of the other company I contacted. We had so much stuff, I really doubted they could get it in one truck load -- but they did...and they did it quickly. I received a call that the truck would arrive in about 30 minutes. The truck arrived right on time. The two guys introduced themselves, provided a quote (in my case, it was the price for a full truckload and the understanding that they would try to get as much as possible into the truck), and started loading the truck as soon as I agreed to the estimate. Everything about the process was great -- speedy work, great attitudes, care not to scratch or damage my walls or yard...really impressive. They even swept the area and left it free of nails and dirt. And all of this at a fraction of what I was quoted by another hauling company I found here on Angie's List. I'd definitely use them again, and I've already recommended them to friends. Thanks Junk Junk!

.Story above of experience. Because of the bait and switch and asking for more money I would say it was not a good experience and I would not trust Angies's list. This was my first experience after years of wanting to join Angies List . I will think long and hard before trying it again before the year is up.

The two young men were on time, they were very professional and courteous. They hauled away everything I needed for them to, and they did it in record time. I would definitely use Junk Junk again and would recommend them to my friends.

Overall they did a fine job. I got my garage cleaned out with no hassle at all.

I called and scheduled a date for pickup. Dispatch called me the day before pick up to provide me a time window. Driver called 1 hour prior to arrival that he was on his way. He showed up on time within the window and within 1 hour of the heads up call. They got started right away with all of the refuse that I stored in my garage during my remodel. After loading up the truck in the rain! they swept up my garage which was a pleasent surprise. Great service I would definitely use them again.

The two drivers were on time (and provided a call to let me know they were en route) friendly, efficient and careful. They charged a reasonable price and I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to neighbors.

The coolest thing is this: they swept up the pile area both times without my asking. My driveway was left cleaner than they found it. And they are polite and cheerful. That's a real bonus to me because they are hauling trash but they made me feel like they were helping me out.

I chose Junk Junk above the other similar companies because of the reviews here, mostly regarding price competitiveness and that they don't refuse certain items, like rocks/concrete. It was convenient that they work 7 days/wk also. I called on Friday and set up an appointment for Sunday morning. They gave me the rates on the phone and estimated it would be 1/4 truckload. When they showed up, two polite guys checked out the stuff and said it actually was between their minimum and 1/4 truckload and took about $60 off the price. We shook on the deal and within 10 minutes they were done. Overall a straightforward and good experience.

Hauling is not a complicated service. They did a fine job. There was nothing memorable about it. They didn't go out of their way to do or offer any additional perks, but the job was completed without a hitch.

Better than expected = exceeded my expectations.

It went amazingly. I called them at about 10 a.m. this morning, and they were able to come out today. They said they'd be here around 3 p.m. and they were here at 3:20 p.m. They even called right at 3 p.m. to tell me they would be a few minutes late. I sort of assumed that because traffic was miserable, and I was stuck in it too. It was really hot today and I live in the Valley. Still, they were very fast. Took maybe 10 minutes to pick up and load all that stuff and then, although their price list showed $290 for half a truck, they only charged me $250.00 because there was a little less than half a truck. They were two young men who were very personable, smart, and interesting to talk with. It turned out that one of them was as much a dog lover as I am, and we shared stories about our dogs. They were great. I put their name in my phone book and I will absolutely be using them again.

David and his team at Junk Junk are great. This is the second time I've used them. They always show up on time, give an estimate after discussion and if everything works out can often take the debris on the spot.Junk Junk is a great Angie's List find and I will use them again as I continue reno and demo work on my house. I highly recommend them. The staff is very friendly and courteous.

Everything went well from start to finish.

The crew was excellent and very professional. They came on time and removed all of our junk very quickly. They even swept- up after they placed all of our items in their truck. I would highly recommend this company.

They were great, however, after they left the truck had left grease spots on my driveway. I couldn’t remove them.

The pre-work estimate for a whole or half truck's worth (to be determined on site) compared favorably to that of other hauling companies and to renting a dumpster on our own. We had cleared out a large attic and a large garage of twenty five years worth of accumulated debris: old furniture, stacks of boxes of papers and various and sundry other categories of junk. When we measured our piles we were not certain that they would all fit into the largest truck. A team of three came on time, were very friendly and professional and they were able to consolidate three huge piles of trash into one large truck in a short time. They even managed to squeeze in an additional, last minute request. When they were finished, they cleaned the area. They were FAST and EFFICIENT.

My father died and left a garage full of junk dating back to 1960. There were things in the rafters, cabinets, shelving, drawers, etc. I called Junk Junk and they gave me a quote range which was pretty reasonable considering it was sight unseen. They got there and had to wait for me due to a miscommunication on my part. They were so professional and so courteous. If I were them, I would have been ticked off having there customer arrive 20 minutes late (I live about 1 -1 1/2 hours away from my dads property). On our initial phone conversation, I told them that I had to examine everything before it got tossed to see if there was anything of value. I'm the executor of my dad's will and I had to make sure that nothing of value got discarded. There were wall cabinets, a standing cabinet, drawers, rafters, and a small loft full of junk. They called me over to look at everything they pulled out. It was a big job and these guys worked fast and hard. It would have taken me and my husband about two days to do the work and they did it in about 3-4 hours, for the cost of a single large dumpster had I rented one myself. They didn't have to, but they even swept a little for us. The garage looked great when they were done! I was really thankful for what they did for us. Severino, Arthur, and Howard were really helpful in their direction and they really worked with us. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to friends!

After an initial glitch in scheduling, they arrived on time and finished the job quickly and efficiently. They were courteous and professional and I would use them again.

The company was able to give an approximate quote over the phone and then schedule the work to be done only a few days out. The Junk Junk professionals arrived early and completed clearing out a one-bedroom apartment in approximately two hours. The men were unfailingly polite and efficient. When they were done, there was nothing left in the apartment. Working with this company was a pleasure and I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking to clean out a home or just get rid of junk. They were so good in fact that two other people involved in the move (one being the owner of the apartment building) said that they would use only this company for future moves.

Purchased Angie's List deal for junk removal; $179.00 for 1/2 a truckload. Called JunkJunk and scheduled appointment for the following day. David called to let me know he was on the way. David and his helper arrived on time and loaded their truck. Since I had more than half a truckload, I agreed to pay $80.00 extra. It was still a good deal for the amount of junk they hauled away.

It was incredible. Junk Junk was very helpful, arrived on time, and acted extremely professional during the entire job.

The job was over before I thought it would be. I also anticipated some last minute complaints or price add-ons, neither of which happened. It was great. The place is finally cleaned up and ready for more debris. And I'll be calling JunkJunk again to take it away.

I had a big, disgusting pile of construction debris--just dumped in place. Three guys showed up, early (after calling to make sure it was OK for them to be early), and cheerfully dug it all up, swept up neatly, and took it away. They were great.

We had demolished the kitchen and bathroom, including tile floors over a period of two weeks. We put everything in the garage until we could call someone to pick it up. We did not want to have a dumpster sitting out as we do not currently live at the house and didn't want to come back to someone dumping an old couch and lots of other stuff into the dumpster WE had to pay for. There was also a dishwasher and a water heater and several doors that needed to go. We scheduled a time online, the company called that afternoon to see if they could move it up one half hour. They were at the house when I got there, looked at the pile (giant pile) and worked with me to make sure it all fit into one truck load. The truck load cost exactly what they said it would cost when I was calling to compare prices before we booked. It took around an hour, but it was A LOT of stuff. They broke down some cabinets and strategically filled the truck so that it all fit into one load. This impressed me, as it would have been easy to manipulate the debris in order to charge me more. We identified some cabinets that were in good enough shape to be used as storage in the garage so they happily picked those out of the pile and put those aside for me. They were polite (there were 3 of them) and extremely thorough. They also went through the backyard with me to pick up anything else that could fit into the truck. I said that we were keeping copper for scrap and they brought me several small pieces that got swept up in the mess. When they finished, the garage was CLEAN. They even swept the alley in which they parked so that no one ran over a screw or nail! Very thorough, pleasant to work with and awesome service. Just what all the reviews said. I will certainly use again if the need arises and would heartily recommend.
