Description of Work: They were perfect! Would use them again. Stains left and did not return after everything was dry. (2 weeks later still no return of stains)

Description of Work: I got an estimate from Jose Perez for landscaping.

Description of Work: Initially, Jose contracted with me to clear my yard, front and back, of weeds, an old concrete patio and walkway and to remove misc. clutter. The work was completed quickly and completely. What really impressed me about Jose was, in the months that preceded this initial work, he would stop from time to time by and talk with me and my wife about what we were planning to do with the yard. Because of his attentiveness to a non-client, he was awarded the first job. He wasn't the cheapest and he wasn't the most expensive. What he did show was positive attention and a genuine want to supply the best service possible.

Description of Work: Jose first became my general gardener about 12 years ago, and each house I've had since then, he has worked for me. Over the years, he has done numerous projects and he is always careful and fair. Right now, he is doing a major project for me (I am getting ready to sell my house and there is a lot to be done) and among other things, I asked him to re-fence areas of my yard, using the same posts. He found places where the previous fencing company had not used concrete when setting the posts (he showed them to me - the posts were rotten and would eventually have fallen down) and he explained how he will coat the bottom of the post with tar to prevent this, and then always sets them in concrete. I have difficult "terrain" (I live on a steeply hilled property) but he and his great guys always say "We can make it happen!" We ended up designing something entirely new withe regular fencing plus panels, for the unique situation I have here. Another job he did, which seemed impossible, was to create stairs up a steep hillside in the back, so that I could get directly to my neighbor's house (we are good friends). I expected a little "goat's trail" but he brought in railroad ties and made a sturdy, stable set of stairs that are better than the entrance to my house! His tree trimmer does a careful, gorgeous job that leaves you with a prettily trimmed tree, not a bare stump. He has put in sprinkler systems, and decks - both wood and also set slabs of stone into flat areas - and created retaining wall-gardens, as well as installing a white picket fence and now "real" yard fencing as well. He has gardened tight areas between rocks with succulents, talked creatively with me about how to make ugly areas pretty, gone to 'find' a tree type I described in the neighborhood, and though he is busy, he has always come to my job as soon as he could. His prices are fair and he has added value to each home I've had. His "guys" have been my gardeners for 12 years now, and they have maybe not shown up twice! (Once for injury, and once for a birth.) They are very reliable and always nice, trustworthy guys who take direction and smile. For instance, when an area wasn't getting watered (my hose was too short) I got a longer hose and showed him what I meant, and it has never not been watered again. When I had a shrub I didn't want cut, once I told them, it was never cut again.
