Jose and his brother do excellent work, they have repeatedly covered every piece of furniture in my home. (I believe in re-purposing) everytime, each piece of furniture takes on a new life.They are extremely professional and a pleasure to work with.

They were superb! Their prices were extremely reasonable, especially in light of how precise their work was. The slipcovers, in particular, were a challenge because the fabric had a tricky pattern to match on the wide arms, the cushions, and the skirt and yet it is perfectly executed. For both jobs, they delivered the pieces back to my house earlier than they had promised. There are two phone numbers for their business, but both are the brothers' cell phone numbers so don't be put off by their phone manner -- they answer the phone with "Hello" rather than with their business name. I felt like I was taking a big gamble when I called them to reupholster my banquette -- the fabric was Sunbrella and therefore not cheap -- but I was thrilled with the work they did. And they are nice men too.

This was my first Angie's List experience and it was perfect. I couldn't have been happier with Jose Garcia and the way he professionally took care of the job. I was worried about money, my budget was tight, and I think he was fair. The fabrics he brought showed that he had worked on high-end jobs and he knew fine quality. He took pride in his work and delivered chairs that look beautiful and expensive. I'm happy and have referred others to him already.

I received an estimate for the work. I had sent to Jose by text, a photo of the furniture to help with the estimate. I called other Angie's List providers. Jose's quote was very competitive, extremely fair and included pick up and delivery because of my location. Jose also sent me photos of past upholstery jobs so I could see the quality of his work. We proceeded with the work after I received the fabric that I had ordered. We were very pleased with the end result -- outstanding quality, very quick turnaround, and prompt delivery. Excellent communication about progress of the work throughout the job. This is a good, solid family business. All jobs come through word of mouth. I am delighted that we have an upholsterer we can rely on for future jobs.

Everything went PERFECTLY! I had read all the Angie's List reviews and was pleased to note all the positive reviews for not only the workmanship but also the favorable pricing relative to other quality providers. Jose was responsive and friendly when I called, and was prompt for our appointment. Since I had my own fabric already, the price quoted was for re-upholstery services only (including pick-up & delivery); Jose was also attentive to our particular request for ensuring VERY FIRM cushioning since my husband is a large man. Because we contracted for services in mid-December, the forecasted completion date was approx. mid-January, which was OK with us. However sometime in early January, Jose called to say that another customer's fabric hadn't arrived as scheduled, so he was able to move up our job - so we arranged for an earlier completion/delivery date (also OK with us!). We were REALLY PLEASED with the workmanship, friendliness & professionalism of Jose & his company! We have already provided his information to friends, and would use his services again in a heartbeat!

I first contacted Jose a year ago and he has now reupholstered a total of five chairs, an ottoman, and a set of dining room chairs for me. His work is excellent, reasonably priced, and timely. He has been a pleasure to work with.

We had two old lounge chairs that belonged to my parents since at least the late 60's. The chairs became worn over the years but the frames are constructed of solid hard wood and we wanted to have them reupholstered for continued enjoyment. We had several referrals from Angie's List. My husband first contacted one well-known company, who advertises on television, and he was told by the representative that the chairs could be done for no less than $700 each! The representative (sorry we didn't get his name) hadn't even seen the chairs at that point! We decided not to waist our time on that one. We decided to try the next referral, Joe's and J Upholstery Shop, which happened to be in our old neighborhood. My husband spoke to Jose Garcia, who asked us to email photos of the chairs. Jose followed up in short time with an email response and personal phone call to give us a rough estimate of cost and amount of fabric needed to complete the job. The ratings were very good for this company, so we decided to use their services for the job. Jose arrived promptly on the scheduled day to show us the fabric samples and to pick up the chairs. He wrote up the invoice and we gave him a deposit for the fabric we'd selected. The work was completed within two weeks. Jose was reachable the entire time if we had questions. We were very happy with the finished work. Prior to reupholstering, my husband had laboriously refinished the wooden arms and legs of each chair. We appreciated that great care was taken not to mar the refinished woodwork during the reupholstery process. Due to the excellent work done by Joe's and J, we have been able to salvage a beautiful set of chairs for our home. We are so pleased with the quality of work done. We felt the price was fair and the amount of time to complete the job was also good. We would not hesitate to recommend this company to others.

I had two benches in my kitchen dining area that I needed cushioned and upholstered. Jose told me how much upholstery material he would need and I bought it. He took the benches away and brought them back perfectly cushioned and upholstered. It was the best part of my kitchen renovation! He is really detail oriented and checked with me on all the little details while he was doing the job. He also upholstered four little pillows, did a fantastic job providing zippers for each so they can be washed. Nicely recessed the zippers-see attached picture. What great workmanship! They also rehung two sets of drapes which were completely botched by the first installer. They put them on rings and did a great job of salvaging the drapes. Saved me a lot of money. I think their price was extremely reasonable considering the amount of work required. These guys so skilled, hardworking, and honest. What a great find!

The overall experience was very good. I contacted this company because they were close and provided free delivery. Initially when I called his cell phone was dropping the call and he promised he would call back as soon as he was in a different location and he did. He made an appointment to pick up the chair and was prompt with the time and date of pick up. He indicated that it would take a week to 10 days to complete after I purchased the material and gave me suggestions as to where to shop for material for the chair. I went to the locations but ultimately chose another vendor. Jose made some recommendations about the ottoman and I went with his suggestions. Once he had the chair and ottoman he indicated that it would take a week to ten days to complete. He called the day before the deadline to set up a delivery time and he arrived within five minutes of the determined time for delivery. The experience was painless and the completed job was excellent.

We were very pleased. Sofas are both very heavy and large. Difficult to manuver. They had to remove sliding door.

I sent them a picture of the chair which they used to estimate the price. I purchased the fabric beforehand so the price did not include the fabric. They overestimated the amount of fabric necessary to complete the job, but they made me a little pillow to go with the chair, free of charge. The price included pick up and delivery. They were prompt and finished the job in the time estimated. I am very pleased with the result.

They were very careful with both sofas, especially the antique sofa. We love the workmanship on both sofas. They had to remove doors and replace them on pickup and return of the sofas and had a great attitude in doing so.

He does excellent, thorough, and beautiful work. He is a family business and is very conscientious. Jose Garcia in particular worked with me, he is wonderful. They pick up and deliver.
