I never received an estimate for the Heating / AC System and the estimate for the tankless hot water heater seemed a bit high (although I have nothing to compare it to yet...) Jo-Mi plumbing has worked for me in the past and done a GREAT JOB!!! So when I saw that they offered heating and AC service I thought I would give them a shot because I really like the company. Kelvin spent a lot of time here and told me he would send me an estimate. I called them after about 10 days when I hadn't received anything. A few emails went back and forth between me and Fernando in their office. After about a month had passed I let them know that I had entered a contract with another company to do the heating and AC so they shouldn't bother to complete the estimate. This turned out to be a pretty complicated heating / AC system and I'm glad I went with a company that specializes in it. I think Jo-Mi's specialty might be plumbing (which they do very well) and maybe more simple heating and AC systems installations or service. That is only an assumption because I never received any type of explanation from Kelvin about what happened.

Very well. They charged exactly what they estimated (the minimum hour charge for about 30 minutes of work). He was professional, friendly, explained what he did, and did not charge me for the small pieces of material he used. He showed up right on time, didn't waste any time, did quality work, and left. Painless. If I encounter plumbing problems in the future, I will call them first, no doubt.

They came out within two days of calling them, and had it all uncleared in about ninety minutes. The guy who came out was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We've hired them a few more times since then for other HOA plumbing issues.

They charge consistently $90 an hour plus materials. They are fantastic and it is such a blessing to be able to find companies that you can trust. I am a new landlord and I had to rent my home which means I had to do a lot of maintenance work from a distance. Now I have people that I can trust to go take care of things for me and report back to me about how things are going which is huge.

I had installed a new gas fireplace, so they came to assure the installation went well. I used them again, and they were very good. I was happy with their work and would definitely use them.

it only took a few minutes and they were extremely curtious and friendly. i'd use them again anytime i have a plumbing issue

I spoke with Kelvin Uyeda and I recommended him to my landlord. There was a leak in the pipes under the foundation of the building. They did an excellent job and with minimal disruption. Kelvin is lovely and very nice person. I am satisfied as is my landlord.

The man arrived promptly and fixed one toilet completely , the other he had to order a new handle for , so that job isn't completely finished yet , but he fixed it so that the toilet can be flushed and will complete the job when handle arrives. Everything was done very quickly and there were no problems. I am still waiting for the handle to be fixed and have already phoned once to chase this , so hopefully that will be soon .

They were no good, in spite of the good rating they had. I tried to us them again, but they were bad. They crossed over the plumbing underneath the house and mixed up the hot and cold lines. Rather than going back and making it right, they crossed it over at the sink and made this little rat nest of copper pipe. They interchanged everything and we had hot coming out of the cold water pipes. They don’t do their own plaster, but they gave us a quote and had illegal’s that came out and did the work. I used them again when I needed to have another heater put in and when I called them, I was put on hold and there was no answer to my calls after that. I also sent them an email and waited for 2 months and still did not get a reply.

The plumber arrived a couple of minutes early (8:28 AM) and was very courteous... he removed his shoes at our front door (as is our custom, per the sign posted outside). He placed a blanket on the floor of the bathroom on which he worked. He ran his snake and then tried scraping the mineral deposits out the "jet" hole as far in as he could reach. (This is the hole that provides much of the flushing power.) He determined that the main problem was the clogged jet hole. He explained our options - we could either replace the entire toilet or try soaking the bowl in vinegar. We appreciated the vinegar suggestion... after he left, we tried one application and it did seem to improve the flushing power, but we will need to try a second application. If that doesn't do the trick, we will consider buying a new toilet and calling him back to install it. Additionally, the plumber took apart the shower knob and determined that we would need to replace the cartridge. The fixtures are by JADO, a European brand that is hard to find replacements for... nevertheless, he happened to have the right replacement cartridge in his truck, which he installed. The loud banding noises are completely gone, and my wife says she is delighted by the unit's performance. While he was at our home, we also asked him to replace our shower head. The current one was working fine, but we wanted one that had a flexible hose on it. I happened to have a spare shower head, which he quickly installed. He commented that the spare we asked him to use was a cheap model which would probably need to be replaced sooner than would a more expensive one. My wife was very happy with his ability to communicate... although English is not her native language, she understood all of his explanations clearly.

Apparently Redondo Beach is out of their service area and despite doing work for our building as a whole, they were going to charge me an extra trip charge. I agreed, hoping for excellent service. They were to arrive between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM. As the clock hit 11:20 AM and no one had arrived I called their dispatch center. The phone rep informed me their tech "was behind on his last job" and "would be there soon." I asked why they hadn't bothered to contact me sooner, knowing their tech was running late. The rep had no answer except an apology and suggested a 1:30 PM arrival. My next question was "will you guarantee this time slot?" and he paused and said "no." At this point I told him to cancel the service call and consider improving their scheduling system. The impact of these "no shows" and poor communication really hits people like me that are self-employed. If I'm not out servicing my own clients, I don't earn any income. It's unfortunate Jo-Mi doesn't realize this.

Anthony from Jo-Mi arrived within 1/2 hr of my call. He turned off the gas and went to work. Although all the fittings were extremely tight, Anthony was able to disconnect the fittings, and installed the shorter nipple. In addition, he replaced the valve and flex line. He then turned the gas back on and re-lit the pilots on the water heater and furnace. All this was done in less than an hour.He was very clean; he used a fabric drop-cloth to protect the floor and shelving. Jo-Mi charges $90/hr, and since I still had about 15 min on the clock, I asked Anthony for some advice about the shower valve stems I happened to be replacing. He was very he helpful and even tightened the shower fittings for me.

As mentioned above, our landlord wanted us to wait until the garbage disposal broke before replacing it. When it stopped working one day, we called to have it replaced. However, when the plumber arrived, he not only got it working again, he showed me how to fix it in the future! He also figured out that the rattling noise was not a problem with the bearings as the previous plumber had suggested, but was actually due to a couple of coffee beans being caught in the disposal. He removed them and the disposal continued to work for another 6 months before we moved out.

The "master plumber" they sent, Rudy, was terrific. He fixed everything he could, replacing parts that needed replacing but actually repairing parts he could fix without charging me for new ones. There was one pop-up valve he wasn't able to repair that day, but he showed me the part, told me about how long it would take to get a replacement, then called me later that week when it was in. He took his shoes off at the door and used a pad to protect my floors. He worked quickly and efficiently, and was very easy to talk to. The overall experience, from first contact on the phone to the follow-up calls, was top-notch. I will ALWAYS use them now.

The next day the smell was still there, so Mike returned (on time again) and replaced the entire assembly. By the following day, the odor was gone. Job well done.

I'm still waiting for their bill. They came out and completed the work when they said they would. The guy forgot to do something, so I called him up and he came to my house right away. I thought they did a good job. I liked them. I thought that their prices were fair. I'm not sure if I'll be using their services in the future.

Called company: they scheduled me for service between 12-2. Dean arrived at 1pm or so, and determined what had gone wrong with the diverter, and suggested replacing it. He bought a replacement diverter an pipe connection (called a nipple), and installed them. Evaluated the leaks near the other sinks, tightened a couple of screws, and they were fixed.

I scheduled for the next day. they arrived on time and did a good job.

The plumber arrived late and I had to call to find out where he was. They were very gracious and called him immediately to find out what was going on. It was a rainy day and I think he probably had more work that day than usual. Once he arrived he was very clean and quick. The work was done in less than five minutes and he left saying that the company would bill me. I didn't receive a bill for several months, and thought at first that since the job had been simple and he'd been late that they'd given us the work for free. But no such luck! I would definitely use them again, in spite of the lateness, because the quality of work is very good.

I did a check on Angie's List, and JO-MI Plumbing is top rated, so I called... A very nice man answered and said Dean would be over in 15 minutes. He arrived in less than that and fixed the problem. He was friendly, fast, and professional. It cost exactly what they quoted me: $90. Worth every penny. From the first phone call to fixed sink was probably 25 minutes total.

Dean was on time and was able to assess and resolve the problem very promptly.

I contacted him a second time to put in a half bath. He came out to inspect the job but I couldn't get him to give me an estimate. He did a good job with the water heater. They got the right kind of electric water heater.

I contacted Jo-Mi to get an estimate to add a new gas line to a pool heater. Approximately a $2500-$3500 job. The dispatcher at the company failed to understand what I wanted, and several appointments were scheduled and then canceled before Kelvin Yehuda, the owner, showed up-late-to do an estimate. He gave me an off-the-cuff estimate and promised to get back to me with a written estimate. He never did, even after I called again to follow.

Great experience! They charge $90/hr including travel time. Because they worked fast the plumber was able to snake 3 drains (sink + 2 showers) in 1 hour.
