Javier Millan Perez

Fine. Javier Millan is competent, speaks good English and appears to work alone. I got his name from a neighbor via Next Door. He has very good Yelp references. He answered his phone promptly. Since I had a very small job that wasn't urgent, he asked me to call him in a few days: the night before he planned to be in my neighborhood. I did and he agreed to come the next day between 12 and 2 PM. He didn't come or call. At about 2:15 I left a message for him. The next morning he called and said that the other job took longer than expected but he could come over in 20 minutes. OK. He came and did the work efficiently.

I am updating my review, as Javier apologized and explained why he didn't respond several weeks ago. He has given me a very fair estimate for sprinkler work and I plan to have him do it in conjunction with new hardscape and landscape in the very near future - sometime right after the holidays. I will come back and adjust this review accordingly after he does the work. In the meantime, I would like to give a N/A in the overall grade but this is not an available choice. So I am making it a C instead of F for now. I am hoping to return with an A review soon.

He was the most prompt in response to my inquiries, and came out the next day for an estimate. After getting 2 other bids, I decided to go with Javier. He purchased the parts with his contractor's discount and only charged me his actual cost. He showed up on time and completed the job in half a day. He charged me a flat fee that was more than reasonable. In addition, he instructed me on how to use the new controller and switched out many of my old sprinkler heads that were over-spraying or not covering their intended target at no additional cost. I would use him again in a minute if I have any future sprinkler problems.
