VEry well - estimate given and installation done on time.

Everything went well, but the price was a bit higher so we went with another company.

After researching Jacoby Co. on Angie's List, I e-mailed them. Cory Jacoby, the designer, responded promptly, set up an appointment and arrived on the dot. Really I had no idea what to do, not creative when it comes to home decor. We didn't want the white oak casements around the front windows concealed by drapes and Cory understood perfectly. The fabric and color she recommended sets off the wood, lets in plenty of light and provides privacy. We saved money as well since no lining was needed. The curtains are lovely and hang perfectly (weighted bottoms, who knew?). On to the den and bedroom, where the casements had been painted white. Cory recommended simple white wood blinds and, again, was very efficient. I would have wasted hours trying to match the white. Cory's got a great personality, pleasant, professional, no attitude, and patient. I enjoyed having her at my house. The job was done when promised. Gary Jacoby installs the finished product. He's also professional, pleasant and so meticulous. Our rooms are small and my dog & cat were roaming around, but Gary installed everything without moving any furniture. Really I was amazed by how lovely the blinds are. When he was finished Gary picked up every scrap of paper, plastic, etc. Again, I enjoyed having him in my home. This family owned small business is an outstanding enterprize. I wish I had many more windows!

My experience with Jacoby Co. was a breath of fresh air! This was my third estimate for home draperies. This was my first provider that listened to my requests and interacted with me to arrive at an excellent design. Cory made the process fun! Although I went into the process thinking that I knew what I wanted, Cory pointed out the pros and cons of that design and guided me into a variation of my intial concept. Her choice of fabrics was diverse. There were so many beautiful fabrics to choose from! While the decision wasn't easy, we finalized our choices. Four weeks later, I met Gary, Cory's husband. He came to my home to install the draperies. He was punctual, organized, and clean. The installation was quick and neat. The draperies were beautiful. Cory came by later that day to see how everything turned out. She was pleased to see the final product. I look forward to working with Jacoby Company again and would highly recommend them.

We used this company to put black out shades over our large French doors in our upstairs bedroom. We wanted shades solely for night use, we have really pretty shutters that we use in the daytime, but they do not black out From step one, consulting with Gary and setting up an appointment for a quote, to final installation and repair of one small problem, this company was first class! Gary was professional, prompt, responsive, and knowledgeable. Our blinds work so well, our room is dark enough now to get a good night's seep! gary has reassured us that if there is ever any problem at all in the future, he will be there to fix it immediately, and i believe it. i have nothing but the best to say about the service we received. I intend to call him to have outdoor blinds installed before it gets too hot this summer over my kitchen and family room windows.

Great experience. Everyone at Jacoby Company was very professional and accommodating and the product they offer is top quality. It was also great to work with a company that is easy to get in touch with, calls you back and is able to be flexible with their schedule. I have several other windows that I plan to replace the blinds on when the windows are replaced this year and I will definitely use Jacoby Company for them.

We had been shopping for Window Treatments for a while and we discovered Jacoby Company on Angies List. Compared to the "Danmer Shutters" quote we received, Jacoby was a bit less costly and promised real wood shutters - not the plastic on the insides of the frames ones. We met Cory at our home and she struck us as a straight shooter, direct and to the point and honest. Jacoby requires a 50 percent deposit with the balance due upon installation. There is also a surcharge to use a credit card with Jacoby. Jacoby contracts out their shutter work (they do their own blinds) to another local business. Luis and George came by the same evening that we left the deposit and took measurements. We were told it would take about two weeks for the shutters to be built. Their estimate was accurate and almost exactly two weeks later, they did the install. Luis and George arrived four hours after the scheduled instalI appointment window. I received a phone call three hours past the install appointment and only after I emailed someone at Jacoby asking if the install was going to happen. Luis and George installed the shutters and did great work. Luis did a great job of carving the shutter pillars around our floor boards and overall I liked their attention to detail: Luis would do the major parts of the install -nailing, carving, adjusting and George would do the finishing- caulking around the outside, magnets install, filling in nail/screw holes with putty. Good teamwork in my opinion. :) I would recommend Jacoby Company to everyone.

As I mentioned above, I could not have been more pleased. Gary Jacoby explained in detail the reasons he could not fix the original piece and why, after 20 years, the top "slider" mechanism should be replaced. I would definitely would use him again. Have every confidence in the world about this man's forthrightness and honesty. He is very friendly and pleasant to be around.

First, Cory came to our house and showed me many options. I wasn't exactly sure what would be best in each room. Then I was having difficulty making a decision with regard to some of the windows. She was very patient, made good suggestions, and pointed out the most economical and reasonable options. Gary did the installation of the blinds and they have an installer for the shutters. All was perfect. We have had shutters installed in our previous house on 2 occasions. The first was ok, the second was very mediocre. These are the best - they are so well made and the job was done beautifully. The blinds are perfect. In addition, Cory and Gary are very enjoyable to work with. They make a great team! I trust them, appreciate the work done, and would hire them again in a miinute.

They were great - easy to work with. They were really responsive on the phone and by email - and Gary came out and measured and then came back to install the blinds.

I recently had new windows installed in my bedroom and was in need of an additional window treatment to add privacy. I already had lace curtains but wanted something that would still allow light and also provide for privacy when I wanted it. I called Jacoby Co. and Cory was able to come out within a day or so. Cory was delightful to work with. She immediately had suggestions and knew what would work according to what we had discussed. She is very knowledgeable ,creative , talented , and easy to work with. Her choice/suggestion for my particular situation was not only practical, but would definitely keep in line with the decor of my room. We discussed fabric and trim choices and the order was placed. A few weeks later, I was called and informed that my shades were ready to be installed. Gary came out and did an excellent job installing them, fast and easy. Not only did the shades operate with ease, but the look totally added the finishing touch to my windows and enhanced the look of my room tremendously. I was so happy and pleased with this choice of treatment , the quality, service and installation. Cory and Gary do feel like family, they are amazing people. You definitley feel the personal concern and attention they give to you, and their desire to provide the best that they can for each customer and situation. Yes, the cost was more than what I had expected, but since I was only doing these 3 windows, I decided to go with the expertsie and proven excellent customer ratings of this company and get what I really wanted. I am glad that I did. You will not find a more pleasant and rewarding experience then working with Cory ,Gary and Company . I am so happy that I checked with Angie's List and found Jacoby Co.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing it has, and still is, to work with the Jacoby Company, but I will certainly try! About a month-and-a-half ago my husband of less than a year and I decided it was time to make some home improvements to the townhouse we now share. The facts: a) husband bought this and had been living in it for 10 years as a bachelor (and it showed!), b) it had absolutely no interior design or theme, c) we would like to eventually be able to sell and move to a single family home, and d) we are expecting our first child (nesting big time!). We made a wish list and started checking reviews. Having just replaced several windows we thought window treatments would be the most logical next step. I started checking reviews and immediately knew that I had to call the Jacoby Company. I was amazed at how quickly we were able to set up a time! A couple of days later, Cory met us at our home. My life changed at that moment. Initially I felt discouraged because she was very very honest, and stated that, based on what she saw in the home (total disaster); we were far from being ready for window treatments. I think she saw the panic on my face because she immediately said that there was a lot that she could help us with to get us to the point of window treatments. She developed a plan with which she would act as the coordinator of all the work we needed including a contractor to fix everything from the popcorn ceiling, dry walls, molding and paint, a carpet vendor, and a custom frame, mirror, etc. artist (truly) who would create the most beautiful mirror to cover a hideous built-in wooden panel over the fireplace. Just like an amazing wedding coordinator, she has helped us navigate through the process getting the bulk of the hard work done in an amazing amount of time. I really cannot believe the transformation that has already taken place, and we only had to stay out of the house for 8 days while they were working! If you saw the amount of work that had to be done you would be amazed too!! NOW, we are finally ready for window treatments! Cory is extremely passionate about what she does and extremely honest; if you are like me you will see this as passion, caring, and commitment to her profession. This has been a blessing for us, especially me, because I do not have a designer’s eye. I know what I like when I see it, but I can’t seem to create from scratch. I realized that I needed to keep my pride aside and let her do what she does best. If I point something out that his horrid or simply won’t work, Cory will tell me, and for that I am truly grateful. Cory has gone with us everywhere from Lowes, Kohl’s, Lamps Plus, Living Spaces, and more. I see 8000 lamps, and she spots the perfect sconce in a matter of seconds. I am in awe of her talent. Even in those rare moments that I might not agree, she is open to seeing my perspective and work with my likes as well. Honestly though, everything she has suggested has turned out beautifully! I recently got to meet the second half of the company, her lovely husband Gary. He focuses on the installation of window treatments, and together they are a dynamic and efficient duo. Cory has been my Angel, and I have told her that repeatedly. She knows when to be tough, like when we had to literally go through every room and get rid of stuff bordering hoarder status, and when to be gentle, like when I had a panic attack that our new sofas (which we ordered before meeting her), appeared like they would not fit in our living room. She figured out a way to make the sofas work too! Cory and Gary do huge jobs, and the fact that they have both taken so much time to help us has been incredible. I never feel less important than those clients in Beverly Hills paying huge sums of money. They have our best interest in mind as well as our budget. I truly know that we could not do this without them! Bottom line, they are trustworthy, hardworking, creative, and passionate. This is what I look for in any type of service I seek, and this is what I have found with the Jacoby Company!

I looked on Angie's List for someone to recover a sectional and was about to sign. However, when Gary came by to install some window blinds in the kitchen, he saw some fabric swatches. He said he believed he could get the fabric for less and do quality work. I was so impressed with the window treatment experience, I felt confident giving him the job. He matched the other vendor's labor cost ($850), BUT he saved me a couple hundred on the fabric against what the other vendor quoted (even when I asked that vendor if that was the best price.) Most importantly, it turned out GREAT. See picture. I was comfortable allowing a good amount of time to schedule the job, though start did take longer than I anticipated, but well worth it. I got a quality sectional recovered with beautiful fabric for just over $1,700.

I was very tired of my tangled, dirty, broken, falling apart vertical blinds on all four windows in my condo. Cory came in for the estimate and couldn't be more sweet or motherly (she can spot a struggling kid with a property that needs major help a mile away). She was quick, clear and helpful. She even gave me the Angie's coupon that I didn't even notice on the site (and that I later forgot that she had even applied! Sorry Cory!) A few weeks later after the custom blinds were finally in, Gary came in to do the install. Super fast, super clean, faster than what he even estimated. The new shades look great and work great. Definitely recommend them and will use them in future projects.

From start to finish, this was a great experience. Gary was very easy to work with, and made me feel like I was in good hands. He's very professional and knowledgable, and assured me I would be happy with the finished work. Needless to say, the previously broken legs are now stronger than when it was "new". The best part is that the cost was minimal, and you could never tell that any work was done (even on close inspection). I'm glad to know I have a solid company to go to for future furniture needs, as well as for a future window treatment project that I've been thinking of tackling. Highly recommended!

Very easy- great interaction with both Cory and Gary.

I needed a new window covering for my home office window after the old one broke during new window installation. After explaining over the phone the kinds of window treatments I was considering, Gary Jacoby came over with a number of sample books so I could select the type of material and treatment I wanted. He provided clear information about the advantages and drawbacks of each type of material. When I selected the material I wanted, he measured the window. About three weeks later, he called to let me know he was ready to come install the new blind. Scheduling was a bit tricky because of my work schedule, but he worked with me and arrived right on time as promised. He took down the old blind, installed the new one, and presto! everything looked fabulous. I couldn't be happier with my new blind! It looks terrific, complements my decor and functions smoothly. Overall, Gary has been a pleasure to work with. He is friendly, professional, reliable and the cost was quite reasonable. I would definitely recommend Jacoby Company and use them again when I need more window treatments.

I had an amazing experience with Cory Jacoby. Her ideas, professionalism, punctuality and responsiveness were fantastic. She came to the estimate with all of her fabric samples and spent quality time with me going over my drapery needs. I would definitely recommend her - especially because she does come with a wealth of ideas, and if you aren't sure what you're looking for, she will steer you in the right direction. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use her company because of an unforeseen financial situation, but when we can, I would definitely have her on my list to call to assist with my drapery needs.

I had no preconcieved notions of what I wanted to do to replace the ulgy, old curtains that had existed as I just repainted the kitchen. Gary came out just before the holidays and suggested blinds. I am absolutely astonished at how good they look! Warm, functional/practical and allows plenty of light. There is only one minor adjustment that I need addressed, but am extremely please! Additionally, Gary happened to notice some fabric swatches I had laid out and gave me some great direction on a sectional upholstry project. I might have Jacoby involved in this; hadn't realized they do this sort of work, too.

We recently moved in to a large, newly built home. The task of decorating was daunting at best and we had only a general sense of what we wanted. I found Jacoby Company after a careful search on Angie's List. I immediately came to appreciate the owner/designer, Cory's knowledge, experience and no-nonsense approach to creating the relaxed yet classic style we hoped to achieve. We discovered Cory to be fun and delightful to work with as well as professional and trustworthy. She paid attention to detail and listened to every one of our concerns. Her business partner and husband Gary personally coordinates all installations and is equally as delightful and professional. All jobs will have little glitches along the way and we found Jacoby Company to be very attentive and concerned about all aspects of our job and most especially creating and delivering an outstanding product and service. We whole heartedly recommend Jacoby Company!

?My Husband and I planned on purchasing window treatments for our entire house. We contracted with a provider and started with our downstairs. We had ideas of our own but were also looking for ideas and input from our provider. When the drapes were being installed, problems presented themselves immediately. The drapes were not done to our specifications, and had to be taken down and resewn several times, nor was the quality of the drapes up to our expectations. We canceled our contract with the provider, and then I called Cory. What a difference! Cory brought to the table lots of ideas, discussed our ideas with us, and had a selection of drape fabrics that blew us away. We didn?t know what little selection our other provider had until we met with Cory. She not only helped us select great drapes for every room, she helped us make our house a home. Cory also offered other decorating ideas that we didn?t anticipate, i.e., rugs, wall accessories, pillows. And then there?s Gary. Talk about making installation a breeze! You wouldn?t guess he is a one man operation! He really worked hard to make sure we had our drapes installed when he said they would be installed and made sure he followed through on any punch-list items as soon as possible. It was a pleasure to work with both of them, and I would highly recommend them to anyone. They are a great team.?

His estimate was remarkably reasonable. He told us he would do the alterations right in our house, without removing the drapes. We are just taking care of some preliminary tasks so that we can have him come back and do the work.

The price they quoted me was high. They seemed to be very knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and explained things to me.

My experience with Jacoby company has been way beyond a professional level. I have become very good friends with these fabulous people. Not only are their prices fair, but their kindness and service is quick and beyond comparison. I would recommend Jacoby Company to every single person I know, including my own family, which I have already done. I am so impressed with their service and quality, and I am VERY hard to please. There is a reason why they have been in business for so long, and their amazing customer service, quality, reasonable prices and professionally show in every way. I was never expecting to gain a friendship when meeting with Cory, but I have experienced not only a fair and wonderful business relationship, but a loving and sincere friendship. I highly recommend this company. I am definitely planning on working with them on every other window treatment in my home.

After too many years of whining and moaning about the light keeping us from a good night's sleep, we needed some way to seriously darken our master bedroom. And since our only experience was with hotels and cruise ships, we thought, "Hey, blackout drapes!" Perfect. The only solution. I went on Angie's List, read the Reports for a number of businesses, and settled on Jacoby, because of its "straight A report card." It was the first and last phone call I made. Cory arrived promptly a few days later to help me through the process of selecting and ordering blackout drapes for the master bedroom. I thought. Surprise! Blackout drapes were completely outside our budget. No, seriously, waaaaay outside our budget. I was stunned as Cory patiently explained the laborious process for manufacturing blackout drapes (e.g., they are always custom-made) and, consequently, their expense. I completely understood, but I was also beginning to reconcile myself to never having another good night's sleep. Then Cory brightened and said, "But there are alternatives that are less expensive." And then, for the next hour-and-a-half, she paraded ideas and samples before me, made suggestions, and "thought" out loud while she tried various solutions, rejecting some, setting aside others for consideration. It was fascinating watching and hearing her "process." At the end of our initial time together, I settled on a multicellular shade (something I had never heard of and didn't know existed). Cory gave me a date that the shades would be ready to be installed, and on that very day, I was called, an appointment was made, and a week later Gary came to install them. Happily, in the middle of it all, Cory dropped in, and we had a terrific visit while Gary finished up. There was a very minor glitch once the shade was in, but it had nothing to do with Cory's and Gary's work (and everything to do with the "abstract" geometry of my house - I don't think you could find a true right angle anywhere!). I must tell you that Gary immediately offered to return the shade to the factory and have them shave off a fraction of an inch, then return and reinstall it. I decided against that, to wait and see, and am very happy I did. The glitch turned out to be no glitch at all in terms of the shade's effectiveness. We are now happily cocooned in almost pitch-blackness at night (and sometimes during the day!), and both of us are sleeping much better. I cannot too highly recommend Cory and Gary Jacoby (and their "Company"). They are two extremely professional, very bright, and utterly delightful people. You could not put yourself/yourselves into better hands.
