Horribly when Mr. Dorman first came in he had his guys in fast to start the work. Getting the piping in quick then things slowed down. The project was originally set up to be done with in 6 weeks. After the piping was put in and had the newly added on handicap bathroom off the master bedroom. Things started to slow down we ended up for a month with exposed piping. He would go weeks with out showing up or even any of his men. The family room was supposed to be part of the remodel as it stands it is still unfinished but he has been fired from doing any more work on the house. The kitchen he stripped out fully while the bathroom was being built and my family had to endure a month in a half of going out to eat every day. There was nothing in the kitchen it took his crew a week to strip out everything from the kitchen but a month in a half to get enough of the kitchen done to were we could start eating at home again. The kitchen was fully finished about June of this year. In the kitchen above the sink there was supposed to be tiling all along the back along the bit of a window shelf. He missed judged how much tile he would need. Thankfully my mother who had planned on using it for the garden she kept some of the marble that was used for the counter top they were able to use that to make the shelf. If she had not I have no idea what he would have done to that shelf. When he was putting in the shower to the new bathroom he misjudge the size that he ordered. The wrong size caused him to have to widen two doorways that he then charged us for on top of the rest of the project. When the inspector come in on different occasions we were never informed when that was. The inspector came in once and I was watching TV the only reason I know he was in the inspector was cause he asked me who I was. Then informed he that who he was. A project that was supposed to be down with in 6 weeks took almost a year to be finish. There are some drawers in the kitchen are not on the tracks properly so they will not close in any way properly. He told my mother that some one in our family broke the drawers so he will not fix them. Honestly we are happy to be rid of him. Several of the men on his crew were very nice and worked hard. He had to replace the plumper at least once we over heard him arguing with the plumper about getting money. The second plumper told us when the project was close to finishing he had still not been paid for some of the work he had done. Once the project was done we were not informed that he had already had the final inspection we thought he still had several things to be finished due to the fact that he was still putting in some of the doors to the back pantry. The backyard was left a mess we did this project through a program with the city and had told them a few times about things that were happening. We found out on the last time we went to complain about him that he had told them he had finished the project and been paid by the program. We told them that he was still doing work in the house and even showed pictures of the trash from his crew that was left behind. When Mr Dorman first started working he told us that he would never leave the house with a access of dirt. It was so bad during the time he was here no one would dare walk around the house barefooted cause of the nails. We started to sweep up the house every night just to keep it under control.
Description of Work: Remodel of kitchen and putting in new piping for the entire house. As well as adding on a handicap bathroom. With railing added to the front porch ramp. A ramp placed on the back exit of the house. Additional cement laid out in the front yard that was paid fro separate from the original project.
