Hoffmann Hardwood Floors

We bought a small new home with hardwood floors that were in horrible condition. Rodney came in at a very fair price, and made the floors look absolutely gorgeous. He worked with us to choose a color that we were very happy with, and he also flawlessly repaired some areas of the floor that were in really bad condition. And he spent time on the details to make sure everything looked perfect. He was very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

First off I gotta say I was VERY happy with both the results and the working experience with Rodney Hoffmann and his team. I have a 1935 duplex in a Historical Zone in Los Angeles. I was refinishing all the hardwood floors in the upper unit of my duplex. Because I had a tenant moving in downstairs Sept 15, Rodney was very flexible in the scheduling of his work. He showed us and helped us select the right finish for the floors by actually doing little test patches on the floor, then he was very thorough in explaining the process of the multiple sandings and multiple layers of varnish and their timing. He also fixed several areas where the floor had been damaged but didn't warrant replacement. The end result is that the floors look FANTASTIC!!! and he did it for a very fair price. We couldn't be more happy with the work he did, It makes the whole place look so much better. One last note... and I think this speaks to the trustworthiness of Mr Hoffmann, at the end of the job I asked if the floors downstairs needed a fresh coat of varnish. He answered that he thought they looked good, and if any areas were showing wear, those areas could possibly be spot varnished, but I wouldn't have to do the entire floor. He had my interests at heart, and didn't use my question about the floors downstairs as an opportunity to make more money. I would (and will) use Hoffmann Hardwood floors again. They did a great job!

As someone not familiar with this kind of work, my questions were answered patiently, clearly and respectfully. I was given samples to choose from. Mr. Hoffman explained the characteristics of various types of flooring, how to care for them, pricing differences, etc. The information he gave me helped me decide to select bamboo. We arranged for the date of installation, with an estimated time period of three days. The job was completed in three days. The installers were very neat, and left the rooms clean after using a saw to cut the flooring. It looks beautiful and I am pleased with the result.

He and his partner arrived on time and were very professional. The floors look great. I will definitely recommend this company.
