I found Mike through my old plumber. He generally doesn't come this far but agreed and looked over the job. He saw that I had the tile picked out, the size, and the general design plans as well as the detailed bathroom designer plans. He was amenable to working with the general contractor and had wonderful suggestions that added to the finished design. He always consulted me about possible changes he might have to make to the original design. I used very large tile for the shower walls and larger 4and quot; for the shower floor and floor with putty knife grout. The work is beautiful. He cleaned up every time he worked and let me know he had to leave something out. We had a party soon after the shower was finished and received rave reviews. One issue we had was that he had a fishing trip that was planned in July which was in the middle of the job but I wanted this tile man, so I had them work around it, and it gave me time to look at different fixtures and investigate color changes to the walls. The tile is straight, the grout is miniscule, and the extra foot niche is a wonderful added bonus. I would use him again. I picked Mike after going through two other terrible so-called tile experts.
Description of Work: Built and laid tile for rebuilt shower in small bathroom, configured floor tile, and assisted in placement of artists glass tile into shower. He gives a written estimate and sticks to it.

Mike's reputation precedes him. We contacted him, he returns the call promptly. He gave us a written estimate and clearly explained that the cost of the tile is separate. He was willing to try and use some tile from the other bathroom to save us some money. He had told us early on that he had planned on a vacation during a certain time and, sure enough, we had delays on other things and ended up waiting for him to go on vacation. He did make sure that we had the hot mop in and the dry floor put in before he left so that other work could be done. We were comfortable with waiting for him. He had worked easily with our contractor and was very accommodating to us.He and the contractor had to tell me one of my ideas wasn't good and I changed it on their advice. Generally he is very careful to make sure I am satisfied with what he is doing. He is meticulous in his placement of the tiles and the grout is clean. I am confident the bathroom is water resistant.Once he starts he works to complete the job. With my permission he elected to wait until the contractor could finish framing the door before he put the bathroom base tile in around the door.It is wonderful to work with a skilled professional like Mike. I wish I had found him earlier for my other remodeled bathroom.
Description of Work: His contact name is Mike Harada of Harada Tile. Mike was contacted through the recommendation of our plumber who had worked with him. He asked for a scope of job, provided awritten estimate and provided good suggestions during the job. He had to work with a contractor whom he had never met and was easy to work with. Mike's work is thorough and professional. He always clears any details. Mike is a highly skilled tile installer who takes great pride in his work. He is careful about measurements, we used large tile in the shower, and Mike kept a keen eye on the aesthetics of the tile layout. We had him put in two niches in the shower, a design of new custom glass tiles, and he executed both meticulously. I asked for putty knife grout. I asked for larger than the 2" tiles for the shower floor. We removed linoleum and had tile set into the bathroom floor. He also tiled under the vanity so that the floor was pretty water resistant. . Mike did the hot mop and dry floor done for inspection. The job contractor complimented the hot mop and dry floor getting ready for inspection. Everything was well done and we passed inspection. Bathroom tile is beautifully done and we are very happy.
