Guarantee Pest Control

Description of Work: We've had a very unsatisfactory experience with this company. Long story short: we moved into a rental house and did not realize upon signing the lease that it was infested with roaches. Guarantee, which was contracted by our rental company, sprayed (at my request) before we moved in, but as soon as we arrived -- before we had even moved in a box -- we spotted roaches, brown and black, American and Oriental, alive and dead, in every room. I immediately requested another treatment. They came and sprayed again. But if you are dealing with a roach problem, folks, spraying alone is not going to solve the issue. You need a combination of kill tactics. So needless to say the problem did not go away. The response from the company is more of an irritation that I keep bugging them to come out and do something more. We also identified a pile of brush outside where the roaches may have their nest. We are having that debris removed, and when I asked Guarantee to spray that area after we remove the brush, they refused, instead saying to call them in a few weeks and give them an update on how it is going. The truth is they are trying to do everything on the cheap in conjunction with our rental company. They did not try to locate the source of the problem, instead just spraying at random. They treat us like an annoying pest that they don't want to keep hearing from about the problem. But I refuse to live with this infestation. If you really want to solve the issue, don't go through your rental company's cheapie contractor, like Guarantee. Get it handled on your own. We found Borite Pest Control on Angie's List, and they immediately sent two exterminators to the house after Guarantee came. Borite not only found the problem but used a combo of 5 different treatments, including bait etc., to tackle the issue. They treated the entire house and the yard. Plus, they treated us with a lot more respect. Yes we paid them, and we were willing to pay more to get the problem fixed using extra methods. But Guarantee didn't even offer extra solutions.
