Description of Work: I spoke to a guy on the phone who agreed a price to clean a rug. A guy called Michael came over late to pick it up and said it would cost more because it was so dirty. He wanted the money immediately which was weird. I wrote him a check and he left his number on a receipt. I forgot about it for a couple of weeks, called about my rug and they said he would call me back. That was repeated several times through June. July I went on vacation. Now the number is out of service. I feel like an idiot.

Description of Work: Please do not contact this company. I paid money to join this website for the sole purpose of warning others about this company. I found the company on the internet. Great looking website, Michael, the owner I believe, was very nice on the phone. He eagerly came that same day to get two of my area rugs for cleaning. I used his company because he said he would have them done and delivered within a week. After a week went by, I had to contact him. He repeatedly didn't show for appointments to deliver my rugs. Finally, after 4 weeks, I threatened him with the police. With in two days, he dropped them off with my Nanny. He purposely came before me and my husband returned home from work. He was supposed to bring them when my husband was home as it got very heated when I threatened him with the police. He became very rude and quite strange after that point. Unfortunately, the rugs are completely ruined. They came back yellow, wet, smelly and very dirty. They didn't have any visible dirt on them when he picked them up. They looked as though they had been thrown in a backyard and left out in the open environment for 4 weeks. I took them to a reputable rug cleaner and he indicated they were beyond repair or cleaning. I mistakenly paid the guy $200 with a check when he picked them up. I was in a hurry, as he was 30 to 60 minutes late, when he came. He said I could leave the "to" line blank and he would fill it out. He made the check out to "cash" and cashed it few days later through a ATM in Minnesota. I believe this guy is a complete scam artist as I have found similar reviews on other sights....all of them with in the past few months. I haven't yet been able to trace his cell phone to a current owner and the address associated with his web provider is a mail box in Beverly Hills. I did get his license plate number from some one who had the same issue on a similar site this one. He drives an unmarked beige van. Its 7c24181. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about this company. Thus far, I filed a formal complaint with the DA office as well as the LA county Department of Consumer affairs. I hope to shut this guy down in order to limit the amount of people to get taken as well. Additionally, I want to locate this guys so that I can file a small claim.

Description of Work: They were hired to clean two area rugs, one mildly dirty, one pretty heavily soiled.
