This is not the first time I've used Green Leaf Tree Service. Years ago, when I purchased my house, the trees needed work and I called several companies for estimates. They were the best price and meeting with them I was confident they knew what they were doing. I have had them come out and trim since as well. Last month, I got a call about a large rubber tree in the back of a small apartment I own. The branches were scraping against the building next door and the roots had started to tear up their driveway and the owner was concerned it would do damage to their foundation. As much as I hated to cut it down, it had to be done. I also have a large Pepper Tree there and the branches are large and have electrical lines running through them, which I have known was a hazard but to take care of all of this has always just been too pricey so I've avoided it. Now that I had to do one tree, I figured I might as well look at them all. There were a couple other trees that needed cleaning up so I included them in the estimate but wasn't sure I'd do them as well. The estimate was $2,350, which seemd reasonable but still expensive. I had found a tree trimming card on my windshield a couple days earlier and thought maybe it was a sign. I called that person and his price was over $1000 more for the same work. Then I called two Angie's List recommendations - one never returned my call after leaving 3 messages, and the other responded quickly and was very professional and courteous. When this well recommended Angie's List provider came out, he was on time and seemed knowledgeable but one of the first things he asked was "Have you gotten any quotes for under $4,000?" I said yes and he asked "Under $3,000?" and when I said yes, he admitted he couldn't do it for that little. And he was really only looking at removing the one tree. My quote was for $2,350 for all of my trees - removal of the rubber tree (not including the stump) and trimming the rest. So I was back with the company I had found on my own. When I called them and said I wanted to schedule the appointment for the two big trees and was still considering the others, I was put on hold for a moment and they came back offering to do them all for $2,100, if I did them all at once. No question, I was getting them done. It's still a big expense for me, but having looked around, I don't think I could have done better. And they were friendly, professional, considerate, thorough, and competent to boot! I thought I should look and see if they were here and I can't find them. I'm happy to be the first to recommend them

They were hired by someone else to cut down other peoples trees and they were cutting down our trees without our permission. They were coming on other people's land, illegally, and cutting down trees. I have made a police report on this company.
Description of Work: They came into my yard without our premission and they were chopping my trees down, they took down trees that I never had said they could do. I did not hire them this time that they were there on my land.
