Garafano Electric is a top-notch company. They are prompt, reasonably priced and give quality work. I will not use any other electrician.

The only problem was that he forgot and brought a 100W balast instead of a 70W that I had told him. It does not make much difference so I did not ask him to go back and bring a 70W component. He was very punctual and courteous.

His prices are reasonable. Bill Martinez comes out to give the estimate and will send someone else out to do the work. In both instances, the workers he sent out were great. I feel like they are a really good company. They are prompt and on time for their appointments. They are also sure to clean up after themselves.

I was contacted within an hour of calling and Mr Martinez arranged to pay a house visit at 6.00pm later in the week. He arrived exactly on time, understood what the problem was and went to work with a suitable solution. I thought the outlet and conduit would either have to be dug out of concrete, or completely ignored and the whole room completely rewired. Instead, the solution offered was much simpler and took less than an hour - and it works. Best of all I got a warranty on the work that was performed by a certified electrician who explained what he was doing, and who gave me an Angie's list discount.

William came out to give me an estimate and we walk around the house and showed him all the electrical problems we had around the house. He was very knowledgeble and explained everything in detail. I had 3 other estimates but they all had similar numbers so I decided to go with Garafano Electric since they left the most favorable impression among all. On the scheduled work date, the crew(Rodger and Brian) arrived on time, started working promptly. They were knowledgeble, careful and professional. We had a little problem(product defect) with the low voltage light fixture we had, but they were patient and solved the problem by fixing the light using the extra parts we had. The job took longer than we thought and they had to come back another day but I am very happy with the work they did and I would defininately use them in the future.

It went well. I would recommend them and use them again, no questions about it.

Will came promptly to give an estimate, and promptly to do the work. He was a little late, but called to let me know. He was a pleasure to deal with, and the work came in under their estimate. No complaints

I called Garafano Electric, left a message, and got a fast call-back. The owner came out the next day to give me an estimate and schedule the work. The installer showed up on time and completed the work quickly and expertly. No problems at all.

William Martinez did the walk through and provided the initial estimate. He reviewed our needs and conducted a very detailed inspection crawling under the house to assess the house electric system. He asked if we would like to add an outlet in the living room for the christmas tree which did not currently exist. We thought this was an excellent idea in that for decades we have strung multiple extension cords to accommodate the christmas tree every year. We scheduled the work about a month after the bid at our preference to arrange being home for the job. On the day of the job William came with Roger and Jose and one addtional assistant. William reviewed the job with Roger and Jose and fortunately for us, Roger noticed that there may have been existing sconces at one time in our 80 year old home. They worked from about 7am until 1:30pm, periodically during the day they checked with me to ensure they were completing the job within my specifications. They reviewed what they had done at the end of the day even double checking that our timers were re-set properly. They were clean, polite and efficient. The city inspection was scheduled about two weeks later and passed without an issue. I would definately use them again.

It was a pleasant experience from making the appointment to writing the check with the Angie's List discount. William arrived on time, quickly finished the work and was concerned about our safety and aesthetics (wanted to use a beige cover instead of white). When I get my act together and get new lighting I'll definitely use them again.

Several years ago, Garafano Electric replaced the original wiring in my 1931 home. I knew from my experience with William, the owner, and his electricians, Bob and Roger, that I would return to Garafano for any future work. In late summer, I decided to improve and increase the lighting on the stairways leading from the street to my front door. I called Garafano Electric and made an appointment with William. He was punctual, and, as usual, provided excellent ideas for accomplishing my goal. He suggested a vendor who could provide the surface mounted lights at a very reasonable price. On the installation date, William, Roger, and Junior arrived at the appointed time and reviewed the proposed work with me. Several hours later, the job was completed--neatly and professionally--and the results are perfect. This job required the drilling of several holes through the garage's very thick concrete walls. In addition, the wiring for the deck light is concealed much more effectively than I thought possible. Garafano remains tops on my list.

The electrician came out and gave me an estimate (which was quite reasonable). He returned to do the work at a time convenient for me. Work was done professionally. I will definitely call them again for future electrical work.

I didn?t get any estimates from them. Their prices seem kind of high, which was the only con. Otherwise Mr. Garafano was very professional, courteous, and on time. His secretary had once called to let us know that he would be ten minutes late. Garafano Electric was very much on top of things.

I had ugly cable wires dangling in front of my house. I asked William to relocate them into the walls and install cable outlets in two rooms. He arrived promptly as he said he would. He evaluated the job, gave me an estimate, and assigned the appropriate worker to do the job. His team arrived as they said they would, did the work promptly and professionally, and the job went smoother than expected. Now I do not have any more ugly cable wires running down the front of my house, and the wires now exit cleanly from the walls via cable outlets. I could not be happier. This is the third time I have used Garafano Electric, and I always get a prompt, professional, and friendly service. I feel lucky to have this company in my Mt. Washington/Eagle Rock neighborhood.

The company sent a representative to my home so he could provide me with an estimate. He described the work to be done and gave me a price with his assurance that the fee would not be higher no matter how complicated the job turned out to be. After we made an appointment, the contractor appeared on the day in question, on time and re-wired my house as promised. The electrician worked quietly and capably and finished after nearly three hours of work. The final total for the job was about $80 lower than the estimate.

They are very dependable and they do good work. He charges a very fair price. He backs up his warranty for a full year. He does come back. He came back 3 times for us and he was quick. He is dependable and concerned. The quality of his work is excellent. He is very professional but also very warm and personable.

It went well from the beginning. I called his office and told his office person what the problem was and she gave me a date and time. He was prompt. Checked the oven inside the house. No power. Checked the electrical panel. Breaker ok. Went and put overalls on and went under the house. Found the problem. Fixed it. William kept the work area clean.

They were a first rate company and came highly recommended. The workmanship of Bob P. was exceptional. This was a lath and plaster house which is very hard to work in and Bob's cuts, alignment and everything else was done with near perfection. I'm pretty fussy about this kind of work and I was very very pleased. All material was top quality. They did not skimp on anything. When the city inspector did the final inspection on the service panel he said "Wow!" He was impressed. Price was competitive.

They did good work, they were on time, and I was satisfied.

I've used William in the past and will use him again in the future. He is extremely responsive and professional. He spent much of the day working on the projects and everything worked out just great. I recommend him unconditionally.

The broken gorund wire blew the circuit breaker. The gentleman came and quickly found the probelm and fixed it within a few minutes. I really like this company.

My ceiling fan stopped working 6 months ago, and being that my ceiling is 13 feet high, and the fan's remote no longer turned even the down lights on anymore, i considered it a lost cause. I checked Angie's list, my new favorite resource for anything home related, and called Garafano based on the high marks and favorable comments. Michael showed up for a free estimate. He was punctual, courteous, honest, and helpful. He determined that the fan motor was fine, just the Remote Control receiver had been blown by a power spike to the house. He diagnosed the problem, prescribed a new remote, a and returned 2 days later to install it. The whole thing cost about a hundred and thirty bucks, including parts and labor. It was easy, painless, and now I have a new electrician I will call for ALL my electrical needs, big or small. I can't recommend Michael highly enough. Another reason why I wouldn't ever stray too far from Angie's List.

The insurance company allowed a certain amount for us to have our electrical system checked to make sure it wasn't affected by water damage from upstairs unit's flooding into our unit. William came out to give us an estimate and verbally said it would be about $400 for a megohmmeter test which is what we were looking for. When the written estimate arrived it was for $450. Though this was higher than we expected or were going to be reimbursed for, we decided to go forward with the test just the same since Garafano Electric was rated so highly on Angie's List and we discovered that not all electricians have the equipment to do the megohmmeter test. Robert came out a few days later and worked on the report, testing each circuit in turn, and all of that went fine. He was punctual and neat. He discovered a short in the area that sustained the most water damage and then recommended that we rewire everything that shared the same circuit as the shorted wire -- that would have been all the romex wire in two bedrooms and a bathroom, and would have meant cutting into a lot of drywall. We decided to get a second professional opinion on that further work, and after a second opinion decided it was not necessary. Overall, we were pleased with testing work that Garafano did for us. They produced a clear and useful report.
