Never made it to our appointment.
Description of Work: Red Flag! I spoke to Fernando. He said he was very responsible and timely. We had an appointment this morning. He said he couldn’t make it. Car accident?? I said ok... can you make it tomorrow? He said he can’t promise... I should hire someone else. I don’t believe any of these guys anymore!

Unfortunately I had a car accident on my way to your estimate, and this is not an everyday thing, unfortunately it happened when I was on my way to your appointment, I treated your very respectfully by trying to work out a later date appointment the same day of the accident or the next day. And I did ask you if I could call you when I was done with all of the paper work but insisted by calling and texting and I answered all of your question while I was trying to deal with the accident at the same time. I never get cases like this, I wish you had a chance to review our work and not a missed appointment. Just curious how would feel in that same situation.?

Description of Work: Left out important details in the initial estimate. Failed to divulge that a one year commitment was required with an early termination fee of $350. I was told just to click accept on an email that contained the contract. If that was stated when we talked about the job and price during his walk through, I'd of told him then it's a no go. Just a bit deceptive on his part. I ask if we could do a one month trial, he stated we don't work like that. Neither do I.

When I meet with you we did complete walk through of the property front to back. I was taking detailed notes just like I would do with all of Angies list members. When I sent the estimate only what you asked for was reflected nothing more, nothing less. Every single contract has terms and conditions and ours is no exception. This exactly what the estimate email I sent you reads. Please review this estimate, if you would like to make changes please call me. If you find everything on this estimate to be ok, please go ahead and click the accept button. .

Description of Work: I had numerous problems with Fernando and his service. We had numerous issues... from untended plants, to overestimating costs for services, to inadvertently killing shrubbery and charging us to replace it...and Fernando never took responsibility for any them. Every time an issue came up, he had excuse after excuse for why the job wasn't being done well. And at the end of the day, I've spent thousands of dollars on a garden that just doesn't look good. Fernando may try to come across as professional and responsible, but everything I experienced was the exact opposite.

I think we will have to go over this again,, You mentioned that we over charged you on a lot of things, let start first by mentioning that you asked for more than one estimate on different projects but never got them done.. after you saying that my cost is too hight then i suggested that you get your own material and that i would do it at no charge. and you did buy a few plants and had us plant it for you at no cost.. this is the offer i made to you and i think it is fair don't you think so.?? ---You also had some bugambilias that you had on very steep and dangerous hill, we did charge you to get them water because it is not easy going up there and water them.. and you knew about this and agreed to the extra cost. even though we talked about the watering for only a couple months we continued to water at no cost to you .. ---You had Brocken sprinkler on the hillside, the area that was not part of weekly maintenance , but we notice the problem and got it fixed for you at no additional cost .. Because we had no option but to step on the ground cover you had in order to get to the sprinklers i damaged some of your ground cover.. We talked about the ground cover , and i told you it was my fault i damaged it, and i will pay for the area i damaged..i also mentioned to you more than once,, that i will replace it during March or april which is the best time,, these plants do not stand the cold weather, not only that but the plants are hard to find.. but you insisted on getting them planted so i did. You are talking about the plants were not attended. I think you would not let me lie.. but when we started service your roses and other plants had a problem, big portion of them were just dead.. In the first month of service your roses and plants came back to life and blooming even better.. Lastly what really got you upset is that we trimmed your iceberg roses, and were really upset that we destroyed your place.. once again, iceberg roses are trimmed in the winter time. if they are not trimmed properly they will not produce better and more roses,, your roses had no sign of ever being trimmed before, that is why they were easily getting all types of diseases and attracted bugs. We did everything we could to please you and provide you with great service..just like we have been doing with all of the angies list members, and we will continue to do so.. if there is anything that i still could do to make you happy please let me know i would still be interested in helping you.. and once again am really sorry for upsetting you by trimming the roses, but believe me if you continue to give them the right care and fertilization you will have the most beautiful roses.

Description of Work: Monthly charge for gardening. While Fernando is very knowledgeable with good English skills, his workers are not. Most of the time the workers come without Fernando and I must email or text him when I have an issue or request. In addition, I believe that the overall cost is too expensive.

Description of Work: Created pathways in dg and set stepping stones. Created beautiful areas to plant, relax and attract wild life. It was a great experience. I will use them again when I can do another part of the garden. They were a very hard working crew. Fernando had great ideas.

Description of Work: Fernando and his guys did a fabulous job bringing our property back to life. We had trees cut down, ice plant installed, tons of weeding and clean up. Our gardener stopped coming for a month and we could not reach him. It's always hard to start over with a new person but we got lucky with Fernando. His team now handles our monthly service. Couldn't be happier.

Description of Work: We made an appointment to go over the scope of work and that went fine. He said he'd email an estimate in 2-3 days. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't heard a peep nor has he returned my calls or emails. The bid was a fair amount of work, installing sprinkler control, shrubbery and lighting, so I don't think the job was too small. Not sure why he's unresponsive, but I don't have time for vendors I don't trust.

Description of Work: I called to get a quote for service of a duplex I own and manage. Sight unseen I was quoted &250 for "initial start up", then a rediculous amount for twice a month maintenance. What a rip off, but sadly I found typical. When I declined service stating the cost, I was told that "they are too busy to take me anyway".

We will not give out an estimate over the phone , You also mentioned that we had agreed to start service at a given date , and that we said that we had no time to service your place, once again , that is not us. We will not start doing any type of work with any body with out and initial walk through of your place , and with an online acceptance of our proposal. I'm really sorry that you had to go trough this and we get to keep your review, this really affects affects our rating and for the quality work we do I feel that we do not deserve it.

When I met with Fernando and explained what I wanted, he understood and immediately provided me with estimates for the work and materials. The 1st job actually turned out to be more complicated and expensive than originally estimated, due to the depth of the concrete patio they removed. This couldn't be determined prior to demolition, however. Beyond that, they met or did better than the rest of the estimates in terms of cost and the time required to complete the jobs. Appropriate DG installation involves removing existing plant material, leveling the surface area, spreading the DG, and most importantly, tamping and watering the DG sufficiently to make a solid surface that will hold up to dogs running and playing on it. Fernando and his crew knew exactly what to do and followed through. The yard has held up beautifully in the month since they completed the job. Their prices were reasonable and their work was professional. Fernando was reliable and honest, and very good at communicating with me at each step of the process, so I knew what to expect and when. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Description of Work: Created 2 dog-friendly play yards in which decomposed granite (DG) was used as the primary surface. In the 1st yard, they also removed a large concrete patio, and provided on-going landscape maintenance for approximately one year, including: sod installation, mowing, edging, plant maintenance, and general clean-up. In the 2nd yard (most recent), they also repurposed approximately 50 square feet of concrete from a broken pathway into an extension of an existing patio, and installed a 10 x 20 brick patio under a fig tree.
