Fernando's Complete Landscape & Hardscape

I spend about $500 monthly. The owner, Fernando, is one of the most accommodating guys you will ever meet. He always has a smile on his face and a can-do attitude. He is a hard worker and has a good price; I recommend them to anybody.

Fernando showed up on time, finished on time and did the work at a fair price. In addition, Fernando seems to know a lot about landscape and hardscape renovations. Fernando is highly recommended!

Hired him to do a Spring cleaning of our yard, with the hope that he could then to regular maintenance. He was very responsive in providing the quote and showing up on the first visit. However they did not complete the work he quoted. Specifically, he left our bamboo running in all directions, even though I showed him very clearly how to keep it cropped to the root barriers in place. When I asked him to come back out and complete this on his first scheduled maintenance visit, he agreed, and when they failed to show up as scheduled, offered to give me the first maintenance visit for free. When they failed to complete the bamboo work again, I warned him i'd be visiting Angie's list so others would learn from my experience. He again agreed to come back out, and a week later, still no sign of his crew, and the bamboo is still running, so i've found another gardener.

Mr. Fernando Lopez diagnosed and fixed my sprinkler system. Having recently moved into our new home, we were unfamiliar with how our lawn irrigation system functioned and whether it actually worked. After attempting to get the sprinklers running myself, I contacted Mr. Fernando Lopez. Without delay, Mr. Lopez arrived at the residence, diagnosed, and got the system up and running. His work included replacing several water valves and clearing out clogged sprinkler heads, making sure that they all functioned properly. I was amazed how quickly and efficiently Mr. Lopez completed the task. I for one will reach out to Mr. Lopez for my future lawn and irrigation needs. He's awesom

They did a fantastic job across the board in every aspect. They were terrific and very professional.

Fernando was called to get a bid on cleaning up and reclaiming an overgrown back yard filled with downed trees, trash, overgrown trees, brush and vines, tree trimming and general landscaping of a property we were moving into from out of town. He was very punctual in returning our phone call and met with us the next day at the home to give us a bid on the services we needed. He was very helpful on suggestions and his price was fair. Fernando and his crew were an absolute pleasure to deal with and made iit a point to be as accommodating and pleasant as any vendor and his crew could be. The job took approximately 1 week to complete as he had to work around other contractors at the house. During this time, Fernando kept us informed and up to date on his progress with phone calls, text messages and pictures as we were out of town for the majority of this project's completion. Fernando is a very professional and pleasant contractor who always had a smile on his face and was a pleasure to work with. He completed the project on time and within his allocated budget as promised. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENDOR for anyone needing any type of landscape, hardscape, brush and trash removal in the LA area. His work is outstanding and his price is fair. We will continue to use this vendor on a annual maintenance contract for our property. We give him and his crew a two thumbs up award for great work!

Fernando answered the phone when I called and arranged to come to my house the same day at 3 p.m. He did not show up so I called him at 4 p.m. to find out where he was. I got his voicemail, left a message, and never heard back from him.

They were very good. Their price was cheap. They came right away, did the job, and cleaned up. I would use their service in the future too.

Fernando responded to my request for an estimate. He was professional and provided me with a competitive, written quote. We thought it over for a while and he called back politely to follow up. We decided to use his services and he was professional throughout and pleasant to deal with.

Fernando and his men come to our house faithfully every Tuesday morning. You can always count on them to be responsive, and give you a very informed decision / opinion. They have a lot of experience, and are always ready to do a great job.

They were very good and very professional, hard workers.

He came out when we had been living in our house for almost 6 months having done NO yard work what-so-ever. He gave us 2 quotes... one for just cleaning things up, one for ongoing service. We chose the ongoing service and have been very happy ever since.

He was close by and came by within 20 minutes of calling him to give me an estimate. He is quick and does good work so others should hire him.

Fernando may know how to mow and blow, but I would not recommend him for infrastructural plumbing/irrigation work. He told me some things regarding the equipment required for the job that, in retrospect, seemed to be more about maximizing his take on the job than on quality of workmanship. I later learned that what he told me was not really true and now I have to purchase and retrofit some equipment onto the system, stuff that he removed from the original scope of work as unnecessary (per the advice of other professionals, not so). The bigger thing is that he made a rather disastrous mistake on our job. Ended up costing both him and us thousands of dollars. He does not carry a license or insurance, so if he makes a mistake it can be very expensive. Until he gets these things in place, proceed with extreme caution.

It's a long story that goes back several years. His crew does know how to cut, blow, weed, and clean, but the quality is dropping and he wants too much money to do the job correctly.

It went well, i am using them for ongoing service.

He did a great job and it was really quick. His response was excellent and the price was reasonable. He was there when he said he was going to be there. He was great as far as returning my call and doing an awesome job. He made sure that everything was cleaned out, and he didn't leave a trace of the brush that the fire marshal was concerned about. I will use them again next year.

At first I thought his service was great. He came each week to do leaf removal. He also promised to slowly remove a huge pile of leaves each week until they were gone. I later found out that he had been blowing the leaves behind the bushes to hide them instead of removing them, and he never even touched the large pile of leaves he promised to remove. I called him about this he told me it would be an extra $150 to remove the leaves. This is what I was paying him $90 a month for. He refuses to remove them without extra payment and hung up on me the last time I called.

Fernando was great. Responsive and professional. He did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. What more could you ask for?

I had a fine experience with them. He showed up on time, and he finished on time was well. He promised me to finish in 2 days, and he did. He was always on top of his service.

Fernando showed up on time with one helper. They spent the whole day in the very hot sun non stop weeding and cleaning up. I made it clear I am not a mow and blow customer. We have no grass and I hate polluting leaf blowers. He figured I'm fussy and kept checking with me exactly what I wanted done. This was a down on your hands and knees job, weeding and cleaning up a yard that I have not had much time to work on myself. They worked hard and non stop, except for lunch break. They had to get on a ladder at one point to clean the giant bird of paradise plants. This made me a bit nervous since he is not licensed and insured. He was supposed to send me a release form, but did not. In future, I would make sure this was taken care of before starting a job. The yard looked great when they were done. We asked him what he charges for monthly clean up and since our yard is not a standard lawn, he said $150 for once a week, 45 minutes to an hour each week, plus extra for cleaning up the Giant Bird of Paradise. This seems a bit steep to me.

Fernando gave me an initial bid for the job that seemed reasonable to me: $200 for a job estimated to take 2 guys up to about 5 hours. Several weeks passed (months?) before I called them to come and do it. His records on the original bid were different from mine (I think $325?), but he went ahead and did the job for the $200 amount originally agreed upon. The pipes from my system are old galvanized pipes--rusty. They had to do some serious digging of various ones in order to extract the heads and replace them. They repaired all necessary sprinklers in my front lawn and some in the front parkway. Our house is on a corner lot. We didn't have them repair the broken heads on the side parkway since that sidewalk gets significant foot traffic and we don't intending to water in that area. Fernando and assistant did arrive quite a bit later than the designated time, more than an hour, due to some complication at the previous job that they were on. The sprinkler repair was completed in something a little over 4 hours. Fernando included in the price the parts that he supplied for the repairs. He was very professional and at job completion helped me figure out the connections of the sprinklers to the timer and set up the timer for me.

There was a lot of work to do: several trees to trim, five trucks of debris to haul, and a lot of weeding and brush clearing. During the jobm I also added sprinkler repair to the list. Fernando asked questions to make sure he got the job right. It took several days to do -- longer than I expected -- but they did a good job. There were a few details that I would have had them attend to, but they were all small things, which I could have mentioned but elected not to. They also discarded my hammock -- which I was not happy about initially -- but they said it had been weakened by the sun and severely torn, and I declined their offer to get me a new one. The cost seemed appropriate for the amount of work. I have signed up to have them return on a monthly basis for maintenance work.

The hauling portion of the bill was $750, and they did the work cleanly and unobtrusively. The work took longer than I expected -- several days -- but they did it well. Fernando is easy to deal with and asks qustions to make sure he knows what you want. I was pleased with the service.

They were great, they were very prompt and they were very courteous, and they are doing everything that they had previously told us that they would do. The only negative thing was that they need to have insurance and a current business license.
