Ron has serviced our gate since installing it and had been of enormous help. Gave good advice and didn't spend my money on an additional system he thought would be too much for us. I am bummed to see the bad review. I hope that was worked out. I have found them to be lovely and helpful.

Rip off company, came out to install intercom system three times and it still doesn't work. Now there blaming it on my manager of the building that she sprayed water on the intercom. False will never use them again, I do not recommend anyone to use them.

They said they were going to come for a repair the day of then I never heard back from anyone. The next day they did arrive at the very last minute of their window of time. The Elite gates technician was incredibly rude. When I called they said I had a warranty with them on file. When he came out he said they were not the ones who installed the product, that a major part was broken and that I would be charged for the service call. I explained that I double checked with them before dispatch and they said they had installed the gate. Yes, it's my mixup for not having the right contact info in my records but they confirmed it then tried to charge me after the fact. Not satisfied at all by this company in every step. UPDATE: This is just a follow up to my previous review. I ended up finding the company that actually installed my gate and they came out very promptly and nicely and fixed the gate for $65. Note when Elite Gates came out they said it was my circuit board that was broken and that it would cost me at $350 for the part plus labor. The service man from the other company that came today said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the circuit board. I'd highly recommend them to install and service Elite Gate products, NOT this branch of Elite Gates.

Ron from Elite Gates arrived this morning for the scheduled install. He went right to work on the gate by removing the old control box and gate opener. He had to remove the old metal bracket and install a new one for the new opener. Once the new control box and gate opener was installed he adjusted the stop point based on where I wanted it to stop when the gate opened. He explained everything I needed to know before he left. I quickly received an e-mail from their office with a copy of the invoice and all the warranty information. Very efficient!. Overall it was a great experience. Ron is very personable and always had a smile even thought it was quite hot out.

ELITE GATES F-RATING IS WELL-DESERVED. This review is long overdue, but is also well-deserved, so it here it goes: Elite Gates repair service came to our home to fix a broken LiftMaster Miracle 1 electric swing gate operator twice, a couple years apart, and we learned after the second visit that they had ripped us off on both visits. They overcharged us hundreds of dollars for parts that cost tens of dollars on their own web site. When we contacted them about the problem, they ignored us. Elite Gates suddenly became hostile and abusive when we subsequently stopped the final payment and threatened us with a lawsuit and mechanic's lien, going so far as to send us a bill for more money along with official-looking legal documents from a third party via certified mail. These "legal" documents later proved to be false (the courts have no such records on file), a blatant intimidation tactic designed to scare us into paying for something that we didn't owe. Reported the fraud to the appropriate authorities and to the dealer authorizing company (Chamberlain), but no action was taken. Elite Gates repeatedly asked for negative reviews to be removed from consumer review sites, and eventually quit harassing us ? probably because they do not want to have to explain themselves in front of a judge. The whole ordeal was very stressful, requiring countless hours over several months but was never fully resolved. READ THE REVIEWS CAREFULLY. (Not just the glowing recommendations obviously from the owner.) One yelp reviewer even speculated that Elite Gates had sabotaged their equipment in an effort to drum up more business. I believe that they are capable of such behavior, in fact they tried to upsell us on major repairs that we didn't need, including a new gate for $3,500 due to a "faulty hinge", urging us to "fix it now, or you'll be calling us back within the week to fix it." Luckily we didn't fall for it, and the gate is no worse for it. ANY CONTRACTOR WHO RELIES ON DECEIVING CLIENTS (both online and in person) is really not someone you want to entrust with access to your home and property. It is better to find someone who deserves your business by earning their success through quality work, repeat customers, and word-of-mouth referrals ? and has the Angie's list rating to back it up. Key words: Elite Gates, F-rated, price gouging, rip off, hostile, abusive, threatening, fraud, authorized dealer, Chamberlain, harassment, manipulates consumer review ratings, stress, suspect, sabotage, upselling, deceit, access to your home and property. DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS.

They are a rip-off. They came on time to collect their $135. The assessment was inadequate for the problem. They were friendly. The price was way out of line for the quality that they proposed. The technical side of what they wanted to do was not the correct way to handle the repair. I will never ever use them again.

They also recommended we install a new gate, since the problem with the gate could not be repaired permanently, at a cost of several thousands of dollars. Requests for a negotiate price were laughed at, and when we said we were upset about the service, we were told "who cares?" since they have so much business. This service business called Elite Gates (owner lives in Malibu)trades on fact that many people units are also called Elite Gates. I would not recommend them from my experience with them.

Overall I'm satisfied with the work performed. The system is working well so far and everything looks great. The cost of the motors was excellent, but the cost of the accessories was much greater than the other companies from which I received quotes. There was always someone available in the office when I had questions, but they didn't always return calls promptly. They estimated that the job would take 1 day, but it ended up taking 3 days. The workmen on site did not inform me that it was going to take longer; after they disappeared I had to call the office to find out what happened. I found one of them in particular to be very unprofessional; at one point he winked at me and later was very patronizing when explaining the functions of the new system. However, everyone at the company seemed very eager to please, and showed real concern when I had complaints.
